We have wonderful care providers including Rhonda V. (for 8 years), Reesa D. (for several months), Olivia C. (for several months), and Mary Lynn B. (for several months). They all put smiles on mom's face as soon as they walk through the door. She knows that she will be well taken care of.

I have been a client for six years now I would like to give a review for Michelle E. Michelle was kind enough to come in during the snowstorm Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday while the snow was here and then she came back to make me a hot dinner. She lived close enough to me to be able to manage to get through the snow when my primary caregiver who lives in Norfolk was unable to get to me so I would like to give a shout out to Michelle for working way through the snow to get to me to make sure I had breakfast and dinner. Tracy took excellent care of both of our parents in the last months of their lives. She was ALWAYS extremely reliable, competent, and qualified caring for their physical needs, but more importantly, she was a patient, kind and loving companion to them. She most definitely enriched their lives and was a huge comfort to our family.
My aunt has been living in Independent Living for about 3 years and loving it. About a year ago she fell and broke her hip, but wanted to move back into Independent Living after recovering. With the help of Home Instead and her caregiver Angie, she moved back into her home and is living happily again. We couldn't have done this without Angie's help. Not only does she support my Aunt by taking her shopping, light cooking and housekeeping, but she has become a good friend of the family. We have had a wonderful experience with Home Instead.

Administration and all staff have been most accommodating in arranging and providing my father’s care. We are appealing the denial of his long term insurance benefits, and Home Instead has responded quickly with the necessary documentation. I live nine hours away, and I have great peace of mind with the services and support Home Instead delivers daily.

My wife has dementia and has needed constant care for the last several years. Home Instead has been helping to give me a break which I would not have otherwise. I have had a several caregivers over the last year and they have all been well trained and supportive. Even on short notice they have been able to accommodate my needs. It has been the only time that I can get the break I need without worrying about the care my wife is receiving, allowing me not only a physical but mental break as well.

5 stars because Home Instead Senior Care caregivers give me the care I need. Most importantly, the caregivers enable me to stay in my home.
I mostly use Home Instead caregivers for transportation. They enable me to do my walks and to go to the gym, which I appreciate.
I love my caregiver because she proactively get things done. She does our laundry and drives us when we need it. Breakfast and lunch are made for us and often dinner is set up before she leaves.
Everything is going just great for me. My caregiver is the best! I would not change a thing.

Top, Top Kudos and Praise for Home Instead Senior Care, Virginia Beach. My family spoke with and hired Home Instead based on a family friend’s recommendation. We needed help with our 89-year old parents who still live in their own home. For over 2 years one lovely, extremely competent and compassionate woman has helped our parents in the afternoons for several times a week. My parents LOVE her. We LOVE her. We have claimed her as our sister! She is beyond what any of us hoped for. She anticipates what they need need. She is gentle, loving and super competent. Both of my parents cannot say enough about her. In August 2015, our parents - still wanting to remain in their house - asked for more help. We called Home Instead and spoke with the manager, about getting more help. She magically arranged a morning shift and an afternoon shift 7 days a week. It was effective the next morning! Two more fantastic support arrived and we have been incredibly impressed with these two women. We cannot say enough about their intelligence, skill, caring hearts, helpfulness and so much more. It has been such a relief to be able to secure such caliber skilled workers from our parents. They deserve the best and nothing less than excellent would do for us. We got excellent care! They have assisted with meals, bathing, walking, laundry, shopping, doctor’s appointments and more. Because of the 3 caregivers, our parents can remain in their beloved home and we have peace of mind that they are indeed very well cared for.
I give them 5 stars but if I could give them 10 I would. We had other agencies come in for my boyfriend's Mom and although the caregivers were good there were problems that were frustrating. I would recommend Home Instead to anyone. They are amazing, all of them.
They are there everyday, even on a day when it snowed in Virginia Beach and we certainly did not expect that. They go above and beyond. They leave everything spotless in the house (I did not ask for any housekeeping) they tidy up her bathroom and the dishes that they use. They put her laundry in the hamper or wash it sometimes. It can be a challenge and they keep her clean as well as her clothes and linens. They communicate any problems and read the notes we leave for them. We always know what is going on (if she refuses care, doesn't want to eat etc.) They all go the extra mile.
I am a nurse myself (I do not and never have worked for Home Instead) and will recommend them to my clients and their families. People should know how good these people are so here is my review. I always keep in mind that I am not perfect and I do not expect perfection but Home Instead is pretty close.
