Your Home Instead franchise owner, Mary Preston, joined the Home Instead family in 2017 became Operations Manager in 2022. She has developed a passion to support those who possess a heartfelt desire to work with seniors in their community. In 2024 she continues the mission of the Suffolk Home Instead helping Care Professionals make a difference every day in the life of others.

Cassie is the newest member of our team and comes with over 20 years of Customer Service and Administrative experience in both the private and public sectors. She is passionate about providing exceptional customer service to people of all ages and backgrounds, but she has a special place in her heart for the senior community. She is originally from the West Coast but moved to the East Coast as a pre-teen and has built a life in Virginia with her husband, two daughters, stepson, granddaughter, two dogs, a cat, and a bearded dragon! In her free time, she plays pool and enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family.

Julie joined Home Instead in July of 2025. She plays a vital role in ensuring that every client receives personalized, high-quality care while serving as their advocate and primary point of contact. She has always had a passion to serve others. As a mother of 3 daughters of which 1 is special needs she brings a unique perspective to help families and seniors navigate their care needs.

Tanya is originally from Suffolk and moved to Portsmouth at the age of 10. While in Portsmouth, she graduated from Portsmouth Public Schools. She attended Norfolk State University where she majored in Biology. She has worked in healthcare and benefits for over 15 years, most recently she worked in hospice care. After working in home care and hospice for 7 years, Tanya stepped out on faith and took a sabbatical from working. She was afforded the opportunity to help others, tutoring children at her church, being ordained as a deaconess on June 8, 2014. "I have always had a special place in my heart for seniors. I need to be of service to someone else, because someone has helped me along the way." Tanya returned to her hometown of Suffolk in 2004. She is happily married to Daryl, who is a retired Navy Senior Chief and they have 2 children.

Joyce has been with us since 2013. She is retired from a local hospital after working as an administrative assistant for 25 years. She first joined us a a CAREGiver, and now we are lucky enough to have her in the office supporting our staff in a variety of areas. Joyce attended Suffolk public schools and the Norfolk college of business, where she earned her associates degree in business. She is the Mother of 2 adult children, grandmother of 2 and the happy owner of "Diva", her Chihuahua.

Tanya is originally from Chesapeake and moved to Suffolk in 2016 with her husband and 3 children. Tanya came to work with Home Instead as a Care Professional in 2017. In June of 2021 she became a Lead Care Professional and joined the On Call team. She has continued to work as Office Support ever since. Tanya works from her home in Kentucky where they moved to after her husband's service in the Coast Guard and we are grateful she can continue to work for us from any location. She loves her job and has a passion for serving seniors no matter where life takes her.

Linda graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill and went to work in Medical Surgery Nursing. She has served as Director of Nursing at a nursing home followed by teaching OB Nursing at OBICI Professional School of Nursing. She then taught in OBICI's Practical Nursing Program. She has been in long-term care since the early 1990s as Admissions Coordinator for a nursing home, staff development nurse, and wellness nurse.

Wendy is a 1997 graduate of Radford University with a BS in Nursing. She has worked in various fields including Med- Surg, Telemetry, Orthopedic, ICU and her most recent in Home Health. She enjoys working with the elderly and offering support to caregivers. Sometimes it takes only one act of kindness to change a person's life.
