Receptionist & Emergency Scheduler
Buckskin 903 Ventures, LLC d/b/a Home Instead
Objective:The Receptionist & Emergency Scheduler is expected to perform a variety of people-oriented duties that support the office team. The primary job function is to enrich the lives of all who call, communicating empathy, compassion and integrity through the phone and other forms of communication. This position sets the tone and vital first impressions. In addition, complete last-minute scheduling duties that arise (e.g. client hospitalizations or caregiver call-offs).
Pay: $15-$18 per hour depending upon experience.
Responsibilities:
- Reflect the core values of Buckskin 903 Ventures, LLC, (d.b.a. an independently owned and operated Home Instead franchise).
- Greet and welcome each visitor in a friendly, warm and professional manner
- Answer each incoming call in a friendly, professional and knowledgeable manner and distribute incoming calls to the appropriate staff members
- Field Care Pro & Client Inquiries
- Serve in emergency on-call phone rotation
- Enter and maintain accurate client and Care Pro records in the operating system
- Communicate client and Care Pro concerns or problems with owner or other staff members as appropriate
- Ensure Home Instead standards are met and upheld
- Maintain regular attendance at the office to execute job responsibilities
- Demonstrate open and effective communication with owner, Key Players and Care Pros
- Assist with billing processing, including client invoices and Care Pro payroll
- Participate in quarterly Care Pro meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education/Experience Requirements:
- High school graduation or the equivalent required; Associates degree preferred
- One year of related business experience or an equivalent combination of education and additional work experience may be considered
- Must possess a valid driver's license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must have an understanding of and uphold the policies and procedures established by Buckskin 903 Ventures, LLC,(d.b.a. an independently owned and operated Home Instead franchise)
- Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively
- Must be patient and congenial on the telephone
- Must have the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines
- Must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills
- Must demonstrate discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness consistent with office standards, practices, policies and procedures
- Must have the ability to organize and prioritize daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly work
- Must be able to establish good working relationships with the franchise owner, office colleagues, Care Pros and the community
- Must present a professional appearance and demeanor
- Must have the ability to operate office equipment
- Must have computer skills and be proficient in Excel and Word
- Must have the availability to work evenings or weekends as required
- Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills
