Ibrahim A.

Owner

Imagine growing up with seniors as a constant presence in your life. That's exactly how Ibrahim, the owner of Home Instead franchise in Houston, spent his formative years. Raised by a single mother and cared for by his grandparents, Ibrahim knows firsthand how important quality care for seniors is. His great-aunt's scoliosis meant she needed assistance with everyday tasks, and he and his sister were always there to lend a hand. When his uncle underwent a heart transplant, Ibrahim became his primary caregiver, driving him to appointments and providing support throughout his recovery. These experiences were the catalyst for Ibrahim's journey to become a leader in senior care. With a successful career working for NASA and major oil and gas companies, Ibrahim realized that his aspirations went beyond working for someone else's success. He wanted to make a difference in his community and lead a business with a purpose. That's when he discovered the opportunity to become a business owner with Home Instead. The brand's involvement in the community and global reach and influence, along with the company's culture, were what drew him in. Ibrahim's passion for senior care and his dedication to the community are evident in everything he does. He wants to do more than just provide services for seniors; he wants to enhance their lives and support their families. And that's not all. He's committed to fostering the growth and development of his Care Professionals, ensuring they have the tools and resources they need to provide the best care possible. His goal is to create a positive culture that extends beyond his business and into the wider community. As a family man, Ibrahim knows the importance of building a business that his children can be proud of. His two sons, Matteo and Lucca, are eager to help spread the word about Home Instead and the important work they do. When he's not running his franchise, Ibrahim enjoys reading about personal development, psychology, and leadership. He and his family are active members of their local Catholic church. It's clear that Ibrahim's values align perfectly with those of Home Instead. His belief in honoring God in all things, treating others with dignity and respect, encouraging growth, and building value in service to others is evident in everything he does. As a part of the world's largest senior care network, with over 1,200 franchise offices in the United States and 13 other countries, Ibrahim is excited to make a difference in the lives of seniors and their families. Whether providing companionship and personal care or specialized Alzheimer's care and hospice support, Home Instead is dedicated to providing quality care for seniors at every stage of life.

Community Liaison

My career has taken me through marketing, healthcare, senior living, and early education — a path that's given me the privilege of connecting with people from every walk of life. That range taught me one thing above all: how to build relationships that last, which is exactly what I bring to every family I work with at Home Instead. My faith in God grounds everything I do, and it's part of why this work feels less like a job and more like a calling. That calling is personal — I'm currently helping care for my mother through her journey with Alzheimer's, so I understand firsthand what it means to need care you can trust. Outside of work, my world is my daughter Savanna, my son-in-law, my friends and family, and my dog Tedee. Family comes first for me — and I've found that same value at the center of Home Instead's culture, working alongside a team that treats our clients like family too. I stay active in the community through Meals on Wheels, "Be a Santa to a Senior," the Houston Adult Protective Services board, and the Alzheimer's Association Walk — causes that matter to me because they matter to the families I serve.

Katy L.

Katy L.

Client Care Advisor

My name is Katy, but throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to earn a few of my favorite nicknames, including “Sunshine,” “Best Case Manager Ever,” and “Boss Lady.” Each one means something special to me and reflects the positivity, dedication, and genuine relationships I strive to bring to the individuals and families I serve. I bring 18 years of experience working with individuals in our community with cognitive disabilities, along with a background as an educator and Memory Care Director. Through these experiences, I’ve learned that exceptional care starts with truly getting to know the person. It means understanding their individual needs, listening to what matters most to them, and meeting them where they are. My passion for this work is also deeply personal. My grandfather lived with dementia, and as his needs changed, our family experienced firsthand the importance of having compassionate and dependable support. That journey gave me an even greater understanding of how dementia affects not only the individual, but the entire family. It reinforced something I have carried with me throughout my career: everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, respected, and supported. Building genuine relationships is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. I consider it a privilege to advocate for my clients, develop individualized care plans, support their families, and be someone they know they can count on to be in their corner. I’m excited to begin this new chapter with Home Instead and bring my experience, compassion, positivity, and, of course, a little bit of “Sunshine” to the clients and families we serve. Always Leading with Love.

AJ

AJ

Client Care Scheduler

Hi, I’m AJ! I bring more than 12 years of experience coordinating care, supporting teams, and helping people navigate the details that can sometimes feel overwhelming. What I enjoy most about my work is building relationships. I understand that when a family reaches out for home care, they are trusting us with someone incredibly important to them. I take that responsibility personally and work hard to make sure every family feels heard, supported, and confident in the care their loved one receives. I’m known for being patient, organized, and calm when things get complicated. Whether I’m solving a scheduling challenge, listening to a family’s concern, or helping a Care Pro better understand a client’s needs, my goal is simple: I want people to feel cared for, not just coordinated. Outside of work, I love reading and taking road trips with my family. I’m also active in my church community and enjoy opportunities to connect with and serve others. For me, caring for others is more than part of my job. It’s part of who I am.
