​Shannon Carithers and his wife Melody are the owners of Home Instead Senior Care of Charleston. Shannon is a Registered Nurse and previously worked at the Medical University of South Carolina. Melody's background includes marketing and sales in senior communities and the medical industry. He and his wife are South Carolina natives, and together they have 40 years combined healthcare experience. Shannon is responsible for the day to day operations of the business. He works closely with both clients and Caregivers to ensure the best care.

Raised on Hilton Head Island, Bianca has always valued community, service, and caring for others. Her husband moved to Mount Pleasant to be closer to her aging parents, an experience that deepened her passion for supporting seniors and their families. Faith-forward in both life and leadership, Bianca is driven by a calling to serve. Her mission is to help as many seniors as possible throughout the Lowcountry remain safe, supported, and independent in the comfort of their own homes. She is committed to leading with integrity, compassion, and excellence-building trusted relationships and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those she serves.

After retiring from the school system where she worked for over 33 years, Donna sat at home for seven months and knew she had more to offer. She wanted to embark on something new, different and rewarding. That's when she found Home Instead Senior Care. As the Inquiry Specialist, Donna educates our families on the many facets of home care. Donna is warm and compassionate, so it's no wonder that families express time and time again how at ease they feel when speaking with her. In her spare time, Donna loves working out and spending time with her family and fur baby.

She is a graduate of Augusta University and has been with Home Instead for 9 years! She has teenage boy /girl twins and is an avid Georgia Bulldog Fan. Melinda loves working with her referral sources and helping them find a solution to benefit their patients and residence.

Christina is a proud Charleston native, born and raised in the charming city of Charleston, SC. Christina pursued her passion for health and wellness by earning a bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Coastal Carolina University. With several years of experience in the healthcare field, Christina is dedicated to making a positive impact, especially for seniors, reflecting her big heart and unwavering dedication to improving the lives of those around her. Outside of her professional life, Christina is embarking on a new adventure with her fiancé, managing their first Airbnb property. This venture combines her love for hospitality with her knack for creating welcoming spaces.

Sofia is originally from Orlando, Florida and has just moved to the wonderful city of Charleston this past year with her boyfriend. Sofia has a deep compassion for the senior and disabled community and is currently studying to become a speech language pathologist in order to help these communities even more. While she's in college, Sofia wants to do something impactful, where she can use her utilize her skills and compassion for others and is now our newest addition to the scheduling team. When she's not at work or school, Sofia loves to work out, read, and spend time with her boyfriend and four cats!

With over 20 years of experience in the medical field, Danielle brings deep knowledge, compassion, and leadership to her role as Manager of Client Care. She joined Home Instead after witnessing firsthand the growing need for quality, relationship-based care for seniors and feeling called to make a meaningful difference in their daily lives. Outside of work, Danielle is a devoted caregiver to her aging parents in Beaufort, giving her a personal understanding of the challenges families face. She is actively involved in the Charleston community, where she leads multiple charity groups, and enjoys traveling with her husband and daughter. Her professional expertise, servant heart, and commitment to seniors make her a trusted advocate for both clients and families.s.

Lindsey Albritton

Lindsey is a South Carolina native, originally from Great Falls, who relocated to Charleston in 2020 to attend the College of Charleston, where she earned her degree in Communications with a minor in Environmental Sustainability. What began as a move for education quickly became home. While in Charleston, Lindsey met her husband through their church, and the Lowcountry has remained the place they proudly call home. Faith plays a central role in Lindsey's life and guides her daily purpose, relationships, and work. She believes in serving others with compassion, integrity, and genuine care. In her free time, Lindsey and her husband enjoy relaxing at home and spending quality time with the people they love most. Lindsey chose to join Home Instead with the intention of restoring hope, dignity, and comfort to those who need it most. She is passionate about meaningful connection and strives to reflect God's love in every conversation and interaction, making a positive impact on the lives of clients and families.

Meet Christian M, a heartbeat of the Home Instead Charleston team. Christian comes to us with a background in 20 years healthcare. With 7 months at Home Instead, Christian has built relationships rooted in trust, compassion, and shared joy.

For Christian, the reward is in the connection. "Providing a sense of comfort," Christian shares. Through these shared moments, Christian has learned valuable life lessons, noting, "Having a backup up plan when I'm at the age of needing care."

Christian's daily goal is simple: ensure every client feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. Skilled in dementia, companionship, healthy lifestyle, Christian finds joy in the details of each visit. "No day looks the same," Christian says of a typical day.

Christian praises the local team for their dedication and communication. "Owners really care about their team wellbeing," Christian notes. "Communicate."
