Are you an experienced caregiver who enjoys helping others succeed?
Home Instead is looking for an exceptional Lead Caregiver (we call ours CARE Professionals) to take on a leadership role within our caregiving team. This is an opportunity for an experienced, dependable Care Professional to continue making a difference with clients while also helping train, mentor, and support the next generation of caregivers.
This is not just another caregiving position. Our Lead Care Professional plays an important role in caregiver onboarding, training, client support, staffing reliability, and daily office operations.
What You'll Do
As a Lead Care Professional, you will:
• Provide exceptional hands-on care to older adults in their homes
• Help cover open and urgent client shifts during scheduled work hours
• Lead and assist with new caregiver orientation and onboarding
• Train and mentor new Care Professionals
• Conduct shadow and training shifts
• Support new client Starts of Care and caregiver introductions
• Serve as a trusted resource and role model for other caregivers
• Help prepare onboarding paperwork and client folder binders
• Assist with training documentation and other administrative projects
• Communicate closely with our Scheduling and Client Care teams
• Help ensure our clients receive consistent, high-quality care

• Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
• A strong communicator
• Comfortable using computers and completing basic administrative tasks
• Flexible and solutions-focused when staffing needs arise
Qualifications
• 2+ years of professional caregiving experience preferred
• Previous experience training or mentoring others is strongly preferred
• Experience with personal care, mobility assistance, dementia care, and client safety preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
• Excellent attendance and professional references
• Strong communication and leadership skills

Job Type: Full-Time: Mon-Fri office hours
Pay: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
Work Location: In person office based
