Steve Levin

Franchise Owner / CEO

Steve Levin started the Philadelphia Home Instead office in 2003. In November of 2023 he purchased the Dresher, PA territory. He uses his experience and passion to provide seniors with a trusted partner, so they can maintain their independence by living safer and more productive lives. Steve received an Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis, and earned a Master's Degree in Human Resource Development from Villanova University. Prior to owning Home Instead, he was a Human Resources Specialist at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Steve can often be seen volunteering with his dogs, Boomer and Zuzu, at nursing homes, hospitals and with the non-profit pet therapy organization, Pals for Life.

Charlea Lyn joined Steve Levin's team at Home Instead in June of 2017 after spending many years working in childcare. The switch to senior care was extremely rewarding and Charlea Lyn spent the past several years wearing many different hats within the organization. In November 2023, Charlea Lyn became a co-owner in both the Center City and Dresher locations. She is excited and honored to continue serving the local community! Originally from a small farm town in New York, Charlea Lyn holds a B.M. in both Music Education and Vocal Performance from SUNY Fredonia as well as a M.M. in Vocal Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. In her free time, she loves to still sing and attend performances, but also prioritizes spending time with loved ones, travelling and reading.

Kelly Rostelli

Kelly Rostelli joined Home Instead in 2019. Before joining the team she was a clinical liaison for an acute rehabilitation hospital. Kelly has over 25 years of healthcare experience. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Temple University and a Graduate degree in Health Administration from St. Joseph's University. Kelly enjoys working with the older adult population. She finds it exceptionally rewarding to build and maintain relationships with community partners, clients and their families. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her significant other and their daughter. She also enjoys traveling, reading, yoga, and going to the beach in Margate where she lives all year around.

Jenn Sonn

Jenn joined Home Instead in January 2023. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Villanova University and a Graduate Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University. Jenn has over 25 years of healthcare experience working with the senior population in various settings including hospitals, rehabilitation facilities and in home care . Prior to joining Home Instead, Jenn worked in home health care as a licensed physical therapist and case manager. Jenn finds it fulfilling to work with seniors and their families' building relationships and providing support to help senior clients remain safe and happy in their home environment. She is excited to continue this mission at Home Instead.

Crissy joined Home Instead in February 2025. She is a nurse who completed her clinical rotations at various hospitals in Center City Philadelphia. She brings over 25 years of clinical experience, including leadership roles and extensive work with seniors across hospital, rehabilitation, and home care settings. Crissy is passionate about using her expertise to help seniors remain safe, independent, and thriving in their own homes. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her adult children and her dog, Papa.

Recruitment Coordinator

Kevin joined Home Instead in September 2025. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Temple University and has been working as a recruiter in various industries for the past six years. Kevin continues to work as an occasional freelance journalist covering local high school and college sports. He joined Home Instead out of a desire to make a difference in his community, and helping to provide compassionate care to our most vulnerable population definitely fits the bill. In his free time, Kevin enjoys supporting the local teams, particularly the Eagles, Sixers, and Phillies. He also enjoys watching movies (especially in the theater), reading, cooking, and exploring Philadelphia's restaurant scene with his significant other.

Val joined Home Instead in August 2022. Val has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from University of Hartford and a Master's Degree in Social Work from Temple University. Before joining our team, she was an assistant for a reality group at Compass. Her previous background and experience is in working with children who have learning disabilities. Val is excited to be a part of a team that values helping others and providing the best care to the Care Professionals and Clients. Val's interest in joining the Home Instead team stems from personal experience of her family using a senior care service. She has first-hand experience in how the relationships between the Client and caregivers become long-lasting.

Janelle Muhlanga

Janelle has been with Home Instead since June 2011. Janelle learned about Home Instead through her aunt who used the company in the past, and it was she who recognized Janelle's passion and dedication for helping family and knew homecare highlighted her attributes in helping others as well. Over the years, Janelle has made the commitment to build trust and long-lasting relationships with our Care Professionals and clients. In her experience, each connection with them has been unique and oftentimes, memorable. Janelle attended Rosemont College in Rosemont, PA and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. Janelle is also an active member of various women's empowerment organizations, where she served as board member, committee chair, and spearheaded conferences. She has received numerous awards and certificates of appreciation for the work that she has done and will continue to be an inspiration to others. Her favorite quote, " Greatness is not measured by which a man or woman accomplishes, but by the opposition he or she has overcome to reach his goals " - Dorothy Height.
