For Barbara, the reward is in the connection. "I get to be with my parents in the last years of their life. My mother who has dementia held my hand one day and said I'm so glad you take care of me. I wouldn't like living in the place with only old people," Barbara shares. Through these shared moments, Barbara has learned valuable life lessons, noting, "That I want to be like my mom when I am at the age of needing help. Kind, appreciative and loving."
Barbara's daily goal is simple: ensure every client feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. Skilled in i can support medical situations and dr's pretty well. adding in insurance and v.a. issues now. paperwork has never been a favorite of mine., Barbara finds joy in the details of each visit. "There are several things we do. My mother needs to go for rides so we go to the Sebastian Inlet at least 1x a week. Sitting on the porch watching the wild life in the yard and on the river is fun too," Barbara says of a typical day.
Barbara praises the local team for their dedication and communication. "I can't say how much I appreciate every single person in this HI Office. They train, equip, encourage and are always there to answer a question or support," Barbara notes. "The previous answer fits this for me. The team support is awesome."
