Valerie Kay

Valerie Kay

Owner

Valerie is not only the owner of a Home Instead office, but she was also a client when her mother moved in with her family. Having this shared experience with client families provides them with a sound perspective as they consider in-home support for their own families. Valerie came to Home Instead in 2016 after a 25-year career in sales and market development in the cardiac and surgical device industries. In 2010, Valerie launched Navigate Healthcare, a consulting firm, and became a Certified Patient Advocate after understanding from personal experience how vulnerable patients become in the labyrinth of healthcare. Her interest in elder care became a new passion as she observed older adults challenged with navigating their own health care experiences along with their hesitance to ask questions about their care. Valerie holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh, is a Certified Dementia Practitioner, a Certified Patient Advocate, and is a support group facilitator for the Ottawa County Alzheimer's Association.

Angela Boyle

Angela Boyle

Service Coordinator

Angela began her career at Home Instead as a Caregiver in 2018 where she became a trusted advocate for her clients and their families. When she wasn't in her clients' homes, she spent time helping in the Home Instead office. Her organizational skills and attention to detail helped her to advance to assisting with the recruitment process of her peers. In 2020 she was promoted to Service Coordinator where her skills were perfectly aligned. Angela is known by all our clients, their families, and our Home Instead care team, as she manages their schedules every day.
