Nora Novich

RN, MPH, Director of Nursing

Nora has been a vital member HISC clinical team since 2009. In addition to holding a Master of Public Health, Nora maintains a nursing degrees in NY & NJ. She has many years' experience developing and maintain quality care programs at several area hospitals and is an expert in assessing the ever-changing needs of the elderly. Nora loves getting to know each of her clients personally, and helping them to stay at home. Nora was on the Board of Director with the Sisko Foundation for Breast Cancer Research and is on the Medical Team as a First Responder with the American Red Cross.

Carolyn Davis RN

Field Supervisor

Carolyn joined the HISC family in 2009 after a successful career as a staff nurse at Hackensack University Medical Center. As a field nurse with HISC, Carolyn works closely with clients, direct care staff, and their families to understand what is needed. She loves getting to know her clients and listening to their stories. In addition to her vast clinical experience, Carolyn is active in her local senior center, city council and is co-pastor at her church. She loves spending time with her son and daughter, and attending the theater in New York City.

Jennifer McGarvey

MSW, LSW, Director, Care Excellence

As a licensed social worker with more than 12 years' experience, Jennifer specializes in providing counseling to clients and families in the home environment. She works closely with caregivers, community partners, clients and families to develop personalized care plans to help seniors remain at home. Jennifer understands the complexities of challenging family dynamics and is committed to providing excellent service. She is an expert in hospice counseling, crisis management, and issues relating to Alzheimer's Disease and other forms of dementia. Jennifer enjoys playing the piano and spending time with her family and friends.

Carolyn Miron

Carolyn joined HISC in 2009 as a Community Service Representative and quickly evolved into her current position as Director of Marketing. Her primary responsibilities include educating community professionals on the benefits of homecare, as well as relevant topics relating to the care of the elderly. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, and a Masters in Liberal Studies. As the primary caregiver to her own mother, Carolyn understands first-hand the challenges of caring for a loved one. Carolyn is dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of seniors by helping them to stay at home.

Client Services Specialist

Hired in 2000 as a Community Service Coordinator, Debi quickly moved up the ranks to full time Director of Client Services in 2004. In 2010, Debi transitioned to a part-time role in order to care for her Granddaughter. In addition to being a family Caregiver, Debi works with prospective families to explain our services. Her advanced degrees in Psychology and Special Education help her address the sensitive complexities of caring for the elderly.

With over 19 years of healthcare experience, Yvette joined HISC in 2018 as an Independent Healthcare Consultant & Educator specializing in Alzheimer and other dementia training. In addition to a comprehensive background in geriatric care management and long-term senior care, Yvette is recognized by the National Council Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP) as Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) and Instructor (CADDCT). As Director of Caregiving and Staff Training, Yvette is instrumental in educating employees on various technics and processes to manage senior cognitive and behavioral challenges. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge with the goal of improving the lives of seniors and their families.

Manager, Director, Quality Care

Hired by HISC in early 2008, Patte works directly with Caregivers and clinical staff to ensure that Client satisfaction remains at the highest level. Patte excellent relationship with company personal makes selecting a Caregiver smooth and easy. As caregiver to her father, and two young daughters, Patte understands first hand the challenges of being a family caregiver. Patte works closely with the company's Registered Nurse and Caregivers to see that the Care Plan is executed properly.

After retiring from a 30 year career in customer service with a local utility company, Melanie began her employment with HISC in 2004 as a Caregiver. In 2005 Melanie was awarded HISC Caregiver of the Year for her excellent service provided to her many clients. She is currently responsible for the Hiring and Training of all Caregivers, a task well supported by her many years of work experience. As a recently licensed certified homemaker-home health aide (CHHA), Melanie understands what it takes to be a caregiver.
