Evening Caregiver Position – Make a Difference After 5 PM
Home Instead is looking for caring and compassionate caregivers or care professionals to join our team for evening shifts and help us enhance the lives of aging adults in our community.
If you’re someone who prefers working later hours and finds fulfillment in providing comfort and support at the end of someone’s day, this could be the perfect fit. Our evening caregivers play a vital role in helping seniors remain safely and comfortably in their homes while meeting the challenges of aging with dignity, care, and compassion.
Primary Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Companionship and meaningful conversation
- Light housekeeping and meal preparation (dinner support)
- Medication and appointment reminders
- Alzheimer’s and dementia care
- Assisting with evening routines and preparing clients for bedtime
- Treating seniors and their homes with dignity and respect
Communicating in a friendly and professional manner
Requirements:
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen
- Valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance (driving clients)
- Lift up to 25 lbs
- Pass a Criminal Background Check and Driver History Check
- Demonstrate poise, compassion, and respect for seniors and their homes
No previous experience necessary, paid skills training provided by Home Instead.
