We were both born and raised in Beatrice and are grateful for the opportunity to serve the community we call home. Since becoming owners in 2021, we have been proud to support a caring team that makes a difference in the lives of local seniors and their families. Outside of work, we enjoy spending time with our three children—Brooks, Liv, and Ryan—fishing, cheering on the Huskers, and staying involved in our children’s activities.

Kim joined Home Instead in August 2019, and over the years, her role has continued to grow and evolve. Through her experience in several areas of the business, she has developed a well-rounded understanding of what it takes to support clients and families, build a strong team, and help the office serve the community. Today, as Director of Operations, she enjoys bringing those pieces together to make a difference for both the people we serve and the team who cares for them. Kim and her husband, Jeremy, moved to Beatrice in 2005 when he began working for the Beatrice Fire Department. She spent 12 years raising their three children while also working part-time at the Beatrice YMCA. Kim has always enjoyed working with people and getting to know their stories. She believes in taking the time to listen, understand what someone needs, and help however she can. Being able to make a difference for families is one of the things she enjoys most about her work. Outside of work, Kim enjoys cheering her kids on from the stands as they participate in their chosen activities, traveling with her family, walking, gardening, and volunteering with local organizations. She loves staying involved in the community and making the most of time spent with family and friends.

Michelle joined Home Instead in November 2020 as a Service Coordinator, where she focuses on coordinating schedules for caregivers and clients. She enjoys being part of a great company and team dedicated to providing compassionate care and companionship to those who need it. Michelle graduated from Southeast Community College in Lincoln in 2016 with a degree in Human Services. Prior to joining Home Instead, she spent 10 years working as a paraeducator, gaining valuable experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Michelle began working with the senior population while attending college in 2016 and continued serving seniors as a Life Enrichment Coordinator in Lincoln, Nebraska, until joining Home Instead in 2020. She especially enjoys listening to the stories people share and learning from the wisdom and life experiences they have to offer. Michelle has been married to her husband, Anthony, since 1999, and together they have two sons, Christian and Kaiden. The family moved to Beatrice in 2019 and has enjoyed becoming part of the friendly community and getting to know the wonderful people who call it home. In her free time, Michelle enjoys going on new adventures and traveling with her husband. She loves exploring new places and making lasting memories along the way.

Karen joined Home Instead as a Caregiver in September 2019 before moving into the office as an Administrative Assistant in December of that year. In 2025, she took on the additional role of On-Call Coordinator. Before joining Home Instead, Karen spent 35 years providing in-home childcare. Karen has one biological son, two adopted daughters, and a grandson. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family. Her favorite part of working at Home Instead is visiting with clients and caregivers and building those personal connections.

Lea joined the Home Instead family in April 2021 as a Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator. After several years working in Human Resources and Senior Care, she is thrilled to have the opportunity to combine both fields and do something every day that she is truly passionate about. Lea loves to have fun at work and enjoys making others laugh and smile. Lea and her husband John live on a farm with their 3 children, (and many animals). When she's not at work, Lea enjoys spending time with her family, trips to the lake, singing and crafting.

Sidney joined Home Instead in April 2021 as a Care Professional before transitioning to the office as the Client Care Coordinator in August 2022. Born and raised in Beatrice, Sidney has always had a passion for helping others. She earned her CNA in 2019 and, during her time at Home Instead, went on to earn her CDP (Certified Dementia Practitioner) certification to further her knowledge and skills in caring for others. Outside of work, Sidney enjoys spending time with her husband, Dalton, and their dog, Nova. She loves going on camping trips, and spending time with family. Whether she’s exploring the outdoors or working on something creative at home, Sidney enjoys making the most of her time with the people and pets who mean the most to her.

Millie joined the Home Instead office in June of 2023 at the age of 4 months and is pawsitively an essential team member! She is the Chief Bark Officer, a professional treat connoisseur, master of naptime optimization and professional belly rub collector. She specializes in boosting morale and stealing hearts. With a wagging tail and heart full of enthusiasm, this furry colleague brings a fresh breeze of positivity into our workplace!
