For 14 years Richard cared for his parents as they progressed from living at home, to home care services, to independent living facilities, and ultimately into a nursing home. From personal experience, he knows the challenges and stresses associated with caring for an aging family member. He also understands the support that seniors and their families require when identifying the best agency for their family's senior care needs. Richard and his wife Lauren are committed to providing the highest quality of in-home care to the families on the Southcoast that they serve by ensuring that seniors can live safely, comfortably, and independently in their own homes. When he's not working at Home Instead, Richard enjoys working in his yard, mulching, trimming bushes, and weeding his many and large home flower beds.

CDP, Vice President of Marketing

Lauren cared for her parents so they could remain independent and in their own home well into their 90s, and knows the need for dependable home care services for seniors. Lauren is a Certified Dementia Practitioner, a member of the Southeastern Massachusetts Alzheimer's Partnership and of Dementia Friendly Fall River and she is on the Steering Committee for Age-Friendly New Bedford. Lauren has taken "train the trainer" certification courses through Dementia Friends Massachusetts and the Alzheimer's Association and trains our CAREGivers and our clients' families on how to care for seniors with dementia. She was an invited speaker at the Home Care Association of America's Annual Leadership Conference in Washington, DC. When she is not helping to care for seniors, she is a fabric artist who has been exhibited in local art galleries and museums.

Director of Client Services

Erica joined us in January 2023 as our Director of Client Services. From the moment you meet her, she radiates a passion and dedication for helping seniors. Erica has 11 years' experience as a CNA, assisting seniors at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth and with MasterPeace Home Care in Mattapoisett. For 7 years, she was Unit Secretary and CNA with Sippican Healthcare Center in Marion before rejoining MasterPeace Home Care where she managed their office for the past 2 years. Erica has an Associates Degree from Bristol Community College and is completing her senior year of a Bachelor's Degree in Economics - Healthcare Service Administration at UMass Dartmouth. In her non-working time Erica enjoys time with her family and their dog Shylo.

Scheduling and Office Administrator

Cindy joined our Home Instead team as our Scheduling and Office Administrator in October 2023. She is a devoted caregiving professional with more than 25 years' experience working as Support Director at Westport Associates, Manager at Crystal Springs, Developmental Specialist at Attleboro Enterprises, and Lead Scheduler at Comfort Keepers Home Care. She has also made contributions to the healthcare industry from her background in phlebotomy. Cindy is a human rights officer with a strong commitment to helping and advocating for those in need. Her varied experience and dedication serve as a testament to her unwavering commitment to improving the lives of children and adults with developmental disabilities while embracing and nurturing each person's pursuit of growth, independence, dignity, and choice. Outside of work, Cindy likes to cook for her family and go on yard sale adventures with her mother.

Accounting Manager

Caroline joined Home Instead in April 2025 as our Accounting Manager. She has been working as an accounting clerk for various businesses for over 10 years. She loves math and figuring out the brainteasers that make up all the accounting functions. She loves Sudoku and KenKen puzzles and doing math problems for fun! Before finding her love for accounting, Caroline was in childcare for 12 years. In her free time, Caroline enjoys crafting and playing games with her family.

Staffing Coordinator

Courtney joined our team in April 2025 as our Staffing Coordinator. Courtney has a Master's degree in social work and has enjoyed working with individuals across the lifespan in various settings, including their homes, clinics, schools, and residential facilities. Guided by a wholehearted belief in the power of human connection, Courtney is passionate about working with people. Courtney is excited about her role in staffing, as she recognizes that hiring and training and supporting Care Pros is an opportunity to support a vulnerable population by ensuring they receive the quality care deserve. In her spare time, Courtney enjoys spending time with her loved ones, evening trips to the beach, creative writing, and exploring new podcast genres.

Marissa joined Home Instead in 2019 as the Head of Recruiting and has since led with purpose and compassion, ensuring only the most qualified, dedicated caregivers join our team. Inspired by the exceptional care her own grandparents received from Home Health Aides, she is deeply committed to upholding that same standard of excellence for every client we serve. Marissa approaches recruitment not just as a function, but as a mission-to match capable, compassionate professionals with the families who depend on us most.
