Mike's decision to become a Home Instead franchise owner grew from a desire to serve older adults in a meaningful way and provide families throughout Johnson, Morgan, and Shelby Counties with a trusted resource when they need support. A proud Hoosier, Mike brought more than 35 years of healthcare and business experience to Home Instead. Throughout his career, he held executive positions in the healthcare technology industry with organizations including Hewlett-Packard Medical Products Group, Siemens Medical, and Respironics. He later established his own consulting practice, helping small and midsized companies with strategic growth planning and product commercialization. His healthcare career exposed him to nearly every part of the care continuum — from critical care in the hospital to care provided in the home. Ultimately, his work and experiences within the home care industry brought him back to Indiana and to Home Instead. For Mike, owning Home Instead Greenwood is about much more than operating a business. It is an opportunity to positively impact the lives of older adults, provide families with options as their loved ones age, create meaningful employment opportunities for Care Professionals, and invest in the community he calls home. Community involvement has always been important to Mike. Throughout the years, he has served foundations, schools, churches, athletic organizations, and other community groups. The mission of Home Instead became even more personal through Mike's experiences with his own mom and dad. Walking alongside his parents through the changes and challenges that come with aging gave him a deeper understanding of what families face when someone they love begins to need additional support. Those experiences strengthened his commitment to helping families find compassionate, dependable care for the people who mean the most to them. Outside of Home Instead, Mike enjoys spending time with his three children and his Golden Retriever.

Rebekah has dedicated her career to caring for older adults and supporting the families who love them. She joined Home Instead Greenwood in 2018, bringing with her eight years of previous experience in senior care. Over the years, she has worked directly with older adults and their families, completed care consultations and quality assurance visits, trained and supported Care Professionals, coordinated care, and experienced firsthand the many challenges families face while navigating the aging journey. Today, as General Manager, Rebekah oversees the day-to-day operations of Home Instead Greenwood and leads the office and Care Professional teams. Although her role has grown over the years, she has never lost the hands-on perspective that came from working directly with older adults and their families. She believes great home care begins with listening — understanding not only what assistance a person needs, but who they are, what is important to them, and what will help them continue living life on their own terms. For Rebekah, home care is also deeply personal. Her father, Lenny, passed away from cancer in 2013 at just 52 years old. Walking through that experience with her own family strengthened her commitment to supporting others through some of life's most difficult seasons and gave her an even deeper appreciation for the impact compassionate care can have on an entire family. Rebekah is especially proud that Home Instead Greenwood is locally owned and operated. To her, clients aren't numbers on a schedule. They are neighbors, parents, grandparents, spouses, veterans, and members of the community — and their families are trusting the Home Instead team with someone incredibly important to them. Outside of work, Rebekah's favorite role is being with her family. She enjoys spending time and going on adventures with her husband, their four children, grandchildren, and Dachshund. Her philosophy is reflected in a reminder that has long been important to the Greenwood team: “Our clients do not live in our workplace; we work in their home.”

Parker has been part of Home Instead Greenwood for several years and serves as Business Development Manager. In his role, he builds and maintains relationships with healthcare professionals, senior living communities, rehabilitation providers, community organizations, and other local partners who serve older adults and their families. For Parker, business development is ultimately about relationships. Families often begin looking for home care during an unexpected hospitalization, a change in health, a fall, or another difficult transition. By building strong relationships throughout the community, Parker helps ensure families know they have a local resource they can call when those moments arise. He also works closely with prospective clients and their families, helping them understand their options and connecting them with the Home Instead team when additional support may allow a loved one to remain safer and more independent. Before joining Home Instead, Parker attended the University of Vermont, where he played Division I lacrosse for the Catamounts. His years as a collegiate athlete helped shape his team-oriented approach, work ethic, and understanding that accomplishing something meaningful requires everyone working toward the same goal. For Parker, the mission of Home Instead is also personal. His grandmother, Mike's mother, was a Home Instead Greenwood client. Experiencing care from the family's perspective gave Parker a firsthand understanding of what it means to trust someone else with the care of a person you love. That experience continues to shape the way Parker approaches his role today. He understands that behind every referral or conversation is a family trying to make important decisions for someone they care about. For Parker, building relationships in the community isn't simply about growing the business — it's about making sure families know where to turn when they need support. Outside of work, Parker enjoys traveling, trying new foods, and spending time with his family.

Laura's Home Instead story began where the heart of our organization lives — directly in the homes of older adults. Beginning in 2014, Laura worked as a Care Professional, providing hands-on care and helping older adults remain safely and comfortably in their own homes. Those years gave her an invaluable understanding of caregiving, family dynamics, the importance of consistency, and the tremendous trust families place in the person caring for someone they love. Although Laura loved working directly with clients, she eventually brought that experience into the office, where she could help educate and support other Care Professionals while continuing to influence the quality of care our clients receive. Today, as Client Care & Education Manager, Laura works closely with clients, families, and Care Professionals. She plays an important role in supporting client care while helping educate, train, and develop our Care Professional team. Her years of hands-on caregiving continue to influence the way she approaches her role. Laura understands that a Care Plan is more than a list of tasks — it represents a real person, their routines, preferences, abilities, challenges, and the life they want to continue living. Laura's passion for senior care is also deeply personal. While in school, she helped care for her uncle during his battle with terminal brain cancer, an experience that strengthened her compassion for individuals and families navigating difficult health journeys. She is also a strong advocate for memory care, inspired by her grandmother's journey with dementia. These personal experiences have given Laura a meaningful understanding of the importance of compassionate, dignified, and supportive care for both individuals and their families. Outside of Home Instead, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband and four children. She also has a big heart for animals and enjoys rescuing animals in need.

Abbey earned her bachelor's degree from Indiana University East, where she was also a collegiate athlete. Her time as a student-athlete helped build a strong foundation of teamwork, leadership, determination, and accountability — qualities that continue to influence her work today. Abbey joined Home Instead Greenwood in 2020 as a Care Professional, providing direct care to clients in their homes. Although she did not come to Home Instead with a professional background in caregiving, she quickly stood out for her willingness to learn, continually educate herself, and do what was needed to ensure her clients received quality care. After approximately a year of providing care in the field, Abbey transitioned into the office, bringing with her firsthand knowledge of both the Care Professional and client experience. Over the years, she has continued to grow within Home Instead, gaining valuable experience in the many behind-the-scenes pieces that help ensure dependable, quality care. Having worked both directly with clients and alongside our office team, Abbey brings a well-rounded perspective and a genuine understanding of the needs of our clients, families, and Care Professionals. Today, Abbey serves as Care Coordination Manager. She works closely with clients, families, Care Professionals, and the office team to coordinate care and help ensure each client's schedule and changing needs are supported. Abbey's passion for care coordination is rooted in her own family experience. During her grandfather's final journey, she witnessed firsthand the comfort, dignity, and support a compassionate care team can provide — not only to the person receiving care, but to the entire family. That experience continues to shape the way Abbey approaches her role today. She understands that behind every schedule and Care Professional match is a person and family depending on Home Instead to provide consistent, compassionate care they can trust. Outside of work, Abbey enjoys spending time with her family, her three dogs and goats, reading, and gardening.

Samantha joined Home Instead Greenwood in 2022 after graduating from Indiana University Indianapolis, but her connection to caregiving began much earlier. In 2013, Samantha helped care for a dear friend who was facing a terminal illness. That experience gave her a personal understanding of caregiving and the difference compassionate support can make during an incredibly difficult time. Years later, when an opportunity became available at Home Instead, Samantha felt it was a place where she could use that experience to help others. Today, Samantha's role combines two important parts of Home Instead's mission: finding compassionate people to care for older adults and staying connected to the community we serve. Through recruitment, Samantha helps identify individuals who have the heart, dependability, and compassion needed to become Home Instead Care Professionals. Through community outreach, she helps build relationships, participate in local events, and connect Home Instead with organizations and resources supporting older adults throughout our area. For Samantha, both sides of her role come back to people — finding the right people to provide care and building relationships that help our community better support older adults and their families. Outside of work, Samantha enjoys spending time with her family, caring for her dogs, and tending to her plants.

Makenzie began her Home Instead journey in 2026 as a Care Professional, providing direct care to clients before transitioning into her current role as Care Team Coordinator. Today, she plays an important role in supporting our Care Professionals and helping keep the many moving pieces of home care connected. Client needs can change, schedules can change, and Care Professionals need to know they have an office team available to support them. Makenzie helps make sure that communication continues to flow between our care team and the office. In her role, she works closely with Care Professionals and the rest of the office team to support scheduling, communication, and the day-to-day needs of our care team. She helps ensure Care Professionals have the information and support they need so they can remain focused on what matters most — providing dependable, compassionate care to our clients. Makenzie serves as an important connection between our office and our Care Professional team, helping build the communication and teamwork necessary to create a positive experience for clients, families, and caregivers alike. Her passion for home care is deeply rooted in her own family experiences. Makenzie's grandfather lived with Pick's disease, a form of frontotemporal dementia. Watching his journey sparked her desire to better understand and support individuals and families navigating dementia. At 19, Makenzie moved in with her grandmother and helped care for her while also working full-time. That experience confirmed that caring for others was where her heart belonged. Both of her grandparents helped shape the compassion, patience, and understanding she brings to supporting our clients, families, and Care Professionals today. Outside of Home Instead, Makenzie enjoys reading, spending time in nature, and spending quality time with family and friends.
