Do Ordinary Things with Extraordinary Love-Mother Theresa. Cheryl has always had a drive to help and serving others. With a deep-seated commitment to effecting positive change in her community, she leads with unwavering dedication at Home Instead. This organization provides essential and compassionate services to aging adults. Aligned with Home Instead's mission, Cheryl strives to infuse vitality, professionalism, and a service-oriented mindset into the communities of Lake and Sumter counties. By delivering personalized and premium care, Cheryl ensures that families and their loved ones can age gracefully and comfortably at home. Beyond her role at Home Instead, Cheryl boasts a stellar track record as a community leader and operations director in the corporate sphere. Her extensive experience includes tackling intricate challenges and seizing growth opportunities for the organizations she serves. Cheryl earned her degree in Political Science and Speech Communication from Willamette University. She actively contributes to various organizations, serving on the Florida Board of Directors for the Home Instead Association of Owners and participates in the Education Committee for the Health Care Association of America. Additionally, Cheryl is a certified Alzheimers Association Facilitator and a Parkinson's Support Group Lead and Mentor. Her involvement extends to the South Lake Chamber of Commerce, the Community Foundation of South Lake, The Neighborhood Center Board, and the Girl Scouts of the USA, where she has been recognized with the Volunteer of Excellence and Outstanding Troop Leader Awards. Outside of her professional endeavors, Cheryl cherishes time spent with her husband, Jim, and their two grown children, Miranda and Jimmy. They share a passion for travel, skiing, and embracing life's adventures together.

"Impossible is just little harder" - Pat Hyndman Jim's service to his community started in High School when he joined the Kiwanis sponsored youth. He has continued that service a member of Kiwanis in every community he has lived in since 1985, along with being a volunteer and leader in his church, and has served on community boards. Jim discovered the Home Instead opportunity while speaking about strategy to group of CEO's in 2019. A fellow franchise owner Jason shared his approach and told him how he and Cheryl (his wife) would be perfect for Home Instead. It turns out that Home Instead is perfect for them. Jim met Cheryl in a college service organization, so together having a business that served the senior community to help them age in grace, is something very close to Jim's heart, as he currently supports his mom and dad in Canada. In his career Jim (aka Jaime) has been working with business owners, managers and of salespeople, in 30+ countries, as a motivational speaker, consultant, and trainer. Jim has worked with everything from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses, on sales and marketing strategy. His success has placed him working with the board of directors of international companies, his church, and the Altus Institute, and appearing as a guest lecturer on Sales and Marketing at the University of San Diego. Jim is fluent in three languages (English, Spanish, and Portuguese). A graduate of the University of Victoria, Jim completed his degree in Sociology, with the dream of working with people, and Home Instead certain provides with a rewarding experience to help seniors age in place, and help their families best support them. Jim is a member of the South Lake Kiwanis Club, and loves to hang out with his kids and enjoy family time.

Our Executive Director, Caitlin Baier, leads our administrative team with ten years of management experience and a wealth of knowledge in the Senior Care industry. She loves spending time with her husband Jason and their two kids, Ella- Rose and Killian. She is a Central Florida native, originating from the West Orange area. A graduate of Wagner College in Staten Island, she started her career in the entertainment industry working for the likes of Martha Graham Dance Company, Disney, and ChaShaMa. She made the transition into the Senior Care industry after seeing the impact caregivers made in the lives of her grandparents. She has worked for several local Senior Care companies in administration, scheduling, recruitment, and community engagement. She feels it to be her calling to provide exceptional care and to make a difference in the lives of aging adults.

Miranda Hernandez

Director of Business Development

Miranda, Director of Business Development at Home Instead, is passionate about the intersection of neuroscience, psychology, and consumer behavior, and has built her career around integrating that science-driven perspective into business strategy. With a background in psychology and neuroscience, she understands the "why" behind human decision-making and applies that knowledge to connect with clients, strengthen engagement, and drive brand success. Through her experience as a field-based representative, Miranda has developed a strong ability to build authentic relationships, adapt in fast-paced environments, and turn data into actionable insights. Whether introducing a new product or service to the market or helping a brand connect with a targeted audience, she brings curiosity, strategic thinking, and energy to every opportunity. As Director of Business Development, Miranda's experience will help Home Instead continue strengthening community relationships, expanding outreach efforts, and delivering personalized care solutions that truly connect with families and clients. Her unique blend of behavioral insight, communication skills, and strategic thinking positions her to make a meaningful impact while supporting the company's mission of providing compassionate, relationship-driven care.

Kristina Burt

RN, BSN - Director of Talent Development and Oversight

Kristina Burt is the Director of Talent Development and Oversight at Home Instead Clermont, where she leads training and development initiatives, creates and monitors individualized care plans, and supports care professionals in delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality care. She holds a special place in her heart for advocating for veterans, inspired by her grandfather's service. Born and raised in Michigan, Kristina later moved to Florida to pursue her passion for dance, performing in theme parks and eventually touring with Sesame Street Live. After becoming a mother to two daughters whom she adores, she pursued her lifelong passion for helping others by attending nursing school. Her personal connection to caregiving began early: her brother experienced a traumatic brain injury as a baby and has never walked or talked. Watching her mother care for him from day one inspired Kristina to dedicate her life to providing trusted, safe care that allows individuals to remain in their homes while giving peace of mind to their families and caregivers. Kristina holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and has worked in home care for the past seven years as both a nurse and a leader. Her experience also includes hospital-based roles as a high-acuity skilled nurse and rehabilitation nurse, along with leadership and nursing education positions focused on training, quality, and patient advocacy. She is honored to be part of the Home Instead Clermont family, serving the community while pursuing her passion for developing caregivers, supporting families, and ensuring every client receives compassionate, person-centered care at home.

Anastasia has quickly become an invaluable member of our team. As Director of Care Pro Relations, her dedication to pairing clients with the ideal caregiver reflects her commitment to exceptional care. With over 10 years in customer service, she has a genuine passion for helping others. Raised in Clermont, FL, she values her hometown's beauty. Before joining Home Instead, she developed her organizational skills as an in telecommunications. Outside of work, Anastasia is a devoted mom to two boys. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, kayaking, and beach outings. Adventurous and outgoing, Anastasia is a vibrant addition to our team and a wonderful advocate for our clients and caregivers.

Office Manager

Our Office Manager, Nancy Callery, joined our Home Instead Clermont office in February. Nancy comes to us with a solid background in office management and sales, Having successfully navigated various administrative roles throughout her career. Nancy graduated from The College of New Rochelle with a degree in Communications with a focus on Public Relations and Marketing. She has worked as an Office Manager for a global First Aid company and previous roles in administration and sales. Outside of work she enjoys exercising and spending time with her husband Tim, to whom she has been married for 34 years, and her daughters, Devin, Kerry, and Megan. Nancy is also the mother of 2 beautiful rescue dogs, Kali and Bear and a cat named Dave.

Deanna is a proud mom of three and has been married to her high school sweetheart for 17 years. With 19 years of experience in customer service, Deanna brings a passion for creating positive experiences and building genuine connections. Known for embracing challenges with a smile and always offering a helping hand, Deanna is a dedicated professional who thrives on making a difference. Outside of work, Deanna enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends-whether it's relaxing at the beach or springs, going on road trips, or hiking in nature. She deeply values Home Instead's thoughtful approach to matching clients with caregivers, recognizing the importance of meaningful, lasting relationships. Deanna is honored to be part of such an amazing team.
