Home Instead is looking for a caring and compassionate Licensed practical nurse to become part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community.

Our team serves seniors El Paso, Pueblo, Fremont, and Custer Counties. We are looking to grow our nursing team by adding an LPN to serve our clients. The nurse we seek will take the lead by building trusting relationships with clients, families, and CAREGivers/Care Professional alike, and demonstrating what truly compassionate care looks like day-to-day. Our ideal nurse candidate will have experience in home care and will be well versed in the Home Care and Home Health Care Statutes.

This position does offer flexible hours, though candidates should be aware that weekly hours can vary depending on the client load. While most of the work for this position can be scheduled within standard business hours, work hours can, at times, be non-standard based on client needs.

Here are just a few of the duties you will perform as a Home Instead Nurse:

• Provide supervisory visits for Comprehensive clients
• Educate the client and family members on the client's condition and plan of care
• Implement the client's plan of care and evaluate its effectiveness
• Execute client medication management
• Treatment & therapy management
• Electronic charting
• Collaborate with other agencies in client care
• Provide training to care professionals
• Proficient use of web browsers, Excel, Word, and electronic file storage software for RN administrative tasks
• Build positive working relationships and rapport with clients, families, & CAREGivers, Care Professionals

What we will require:

• A current CO Nursing license in good standing
• Complete a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen
• Possess a valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance
• Home care and or geriatric care experience preferred but not required
