Franchise Owner

Reed and his wife, Kate, started their Home Instead franchise in 2004. In 2012 they expanded and bought a second Home Instead franchise. They were drawn to the field based on their respect for our senior population and desire to help. Prior to the Home Instead, Reed was in corporate finance and Kate worked as a CPA. Kate and Reed have been married for 25 years and have four high school and college age kids. In their free time, they are both active with tennis and cooking. Their favorite thing is spending time with their family at the beach.

Michelle

Director of Operations

Michelle is a Colorado native having lived in Denver, Pueblo and Colorado Springs and loves all that Colorado has to offer. She is very active in the office and oversees the leadership of the organization and ensures we provide the highest quality caregiving services. Michelle comes from a diverse background; she was Director of Human Resources for a local therapy company and has also been in Business Development positions. She is now serving in her most rewarding role as Director of Operations for Home Instead. Michelle is passionate about exceeding expectations of clients and Care Professionals and sets an example of leadership in her office and the industry. She has earned her degree in Business Management and Human Resources. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys giving back to the community through philanthropy, cooking, gardening and most importantly spending time with her family and friends.

Brittaney

Client Care Coordinator

Born and raised in Manteca, California, Brittaney has always had a passion for helping others. With experience working at a rehab center as a Social Service Assistant in a senior community, Brittaney continues her dedication in serving seniors and their families. Making the most of every moment, she loves listening to clients' stories and seeing them smile. Brittaney and her husband recently moved to Colorado Springs for her husband's service in the military. Brittaney is dedicated to her role at Home Instead, making a difference in the everyday lives of seniors in Colorado Springs.

Erin

HR Manager

Erin was born and raised in Orange County, California and has always been committed to making a difference in her community through volunteer work with various local and national organizations. Erin earned her bachelor's degree in psychology at Northern Arizona University, while also gaining administrative experience working at the university's College of Business. With a passion and eagerness to make a difference in the lives of seniors, Erin began her work with Home Instead as a Care Professional for the Greatest Generation. She continues to strive to help others in her community through caring for seniors and building relationships with them and their families.

Shanna

Shanna

Recruitment Coordinator

Shanna's hometown is Pittsburgh, Pa. That is where she started with Home Instead in 2018. She has worked remotely as On-Call Coordinator, Billing and Payroll Specialist and most recently added the role of Recruitment Coordinator. She values the opportunity to gain so much experience with this company and in this field of work. In 2015 she suffered a brain hemorrhage and stroke. She was diagnosed with a malformation of veins in her Cerebellum called a Cavernous Angioma. She underwent an operation to correct it. Once in rehabilitation she relied on the care of others to help her with activities of daily living until fully recovered. She personally knows how important it is to have a caregiver with patience that you can fully depend on and trust when you really need someone's help. She is happy to be a part of the services that Home Instead provides. Shanna is a proud mother of 3 fabulous and active children. When she's not at their sporting events and activities, she enjoys listening to music and being at camp with family and friends. "If I ever decide to quit my day job, it would be to become a stand up comedian." -Shanna

Originally from Houston, Texas, Brooke has always been passionate about supporting and empowering others to make a meaningful difference in their daily lives. With a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Human services, she brings a strong foundation in mental health and higher education to her work. Throughout her career, she has dedicated herself to helping individuals from diverse backgrounds reach their full potential. Now, as a Scheduling Coordinator at Home Instead, she combines her compassion and organizational skills to ensure clients receive consistent, quality care tailored to their needs. In her free times, she enjoys exploring new creative outlets, spending time in nature, and connecting with her pets and loved ones.

Aspen

Service Coordinator

Aspen is a native of Colorado and played college volleyball at Simpson College in Iowa. She spends majority of her time working 2 jobs to save and fulfill her goal of traveling the world, starting with Spain and Greece. Reading is a big hobby of hers and she spends every second she can with her nose in a book. You can find Aspen on the trails frequently as she likes to ride dirt bikes and hike with her tuxedo cat, Tuna. Aspen found her passion for working with the senior community after a stint in hospice care and is excited to continue expressing that joy and service with Home Instead.

Vernetta

Vernetta

Training Coordinator

Vernetta has a love for Colorado, her native home, where she was raised in Denver and Colorado Springs. She started caring for others at a very early age. In 1984 she began a long-time career in health care. Vernetta is a Certified Nurse Assistant and worked for a Long-Term Care Community, supporting individuals with a wide range of debilities. In 1988 she started working with Denver Health Medical Center as an Emergency Medical Technician serving for 31 years. Vernetta has a strong passion for caring for clients and believes in living life to the fullest, giving and learning from life experiences. She enjoys going on cruises, dancing, sharing time with family, and making others laugh.
