For more than 18 years, Joel has been co-owner and CEO of Home Instead for Santa Clarita and the Antelope Valley. His background is in communications and business development, and he has owned and operated his own businesses for more than 35 years. His interest in home care for seniors developed when his own mother needed care; he understands first-hand the critical learning curve we all encounter when our loved ones need help. Joel is a founding member and President of the Senior Resource Alliance for the Santa Clarita Valley and is active in community projects involving seniors.

Charlene Perrone

Charlene Perrone

co-owner, Certified Gerontology Specialist

Charlene's background is in nursing and communications, she is currently COO of Home Instead Senior Care for Santa Clarita and the Antelope Valley. Her mother lived with her and her family for more than 12 years, which helped motivate her desire to work with and assist aging adults in every aspect of the aging process. Charlene is certified by the Alzheimer's Association as a facilitator for dementia support groups and by Stanford University as a facilitator for the Chronic Disease Self-Management Program. She is a Certified Senior Advisor, and has provided articles on aging for various local publications, including Inside SCV.

Linda Rosevear

Certified Gerontology Specialist, Certified Senior Advisor

Linda is the Client Care Coordinator for our clients in the Santa Clarita Valley, as well as the Supervising Training Coordinator for all caregivers on the Home Instead roster. She is an experienced family caregiver, as well, and her advanced knowledge of gerontology makes her an excellent client care manager. In addition, her skills and compassion are apparent in the training she provides to our caregivers, ensuring that our employees are as educated and prepared as possible to work with aging adults.

Service and Client Care Coordinator

Stephanie is our go-to person, for both staffing and technical support. She came to us in 2017 with seven years experience at two other Home Instead offices, both in Texas and in Georgia. Her main responsibility is to provide excellent service to our seniors by matching them with compatible, caring and skilled CAREGivers, allowing us to fulfill our mission of keeping clients in their homes, living as independently as possible for as long as possible. Stephanie is also a certified Gerontology Specialist and currently assists our clients with care planning and case management and is a part of our 24/7 phone support team.

Linette Brammer

Linette Brammer

Geriatric Specialist/Assistant Training Coordinator

Linette has a Master's Degree in Public Health and a California Teachers Credential. She has spent two decades teaching public health and medical curricula for various adult schools and career colleges including Santa Barbara City College, and she has worked extensively with the Ventura County Office of Education. She is a fervent mentor for students who want to further their careers in the health care industry, and she is committed to improving and enhancing the education of all caregivers working with seniors…we are very fortunate to have her on our staff.

Human Resource Coordinator

Kelly is a certified medical assistant who has spent the last 35 years working in various aspects of the medical field. Her career includes working for Anthem Blue Cross as a claim's examiner/customer service representative, working as a clinical neurological medical assistant, running and managing a start-up sub-specialty neurological IPA, as well as running/teaching the medical assisting program at Oxnard Adult School. She is so excited to join our team as our Human Resource Coordinator to help assist us in finding just the right caregivers to better serve our senior community.

Scheduling/Staffing Coordinator

Judi has 8 years experience in home health and with two other offices of Home Instead as a scheduling/staffing coordinator and client services representative. She truly enjoys working with seniors, and is committed to making sure they are matched with compatible caregivers who are able to meet the specific needs of all our unique and deserving clients. She is also part of our after-hours team that answers client and caregiver calls 24/7.

Shannon Avazian

Community Outreach Coordinator

Shannon has a long history of serving seniors in the Santa Clarita and Antelope Valleys. As a placement and care management specialist with her own company, she helped families locate assisted living communities and in-home care services, ensuring that they find the most appropriate care options available. At one point, Shannon was caring for her grandmother, mother, two little ones and her terminal husband. In fact, Shannon called Home Instead to help provide care for her mother so she could focus on her husband who was living at home on hospice. That's when Shannon knew she could make a difference, working with seniors and those in need of care. Shannon has joined Home Instead as a Certified Dementia Specialist and strives daily to provide high quality, personal and compassionate care to our families.
