Daniel Silva Walker

Daniel Silva Walker

Daniel was born in Los Angeles and grew up in San Luis Obispo County. Daniel has also lived in San Francisco, New York and in Dakar in Senagal. Daniel studied as an EMT and has had various positions in the care field. As well as a caregiver he worked in activities group at an assisted living facility here on the central coast. His family also has heritage in caregiving and he was part of the care environment from a young age. You can find Daniel out and about on the many hiking trails and beaches on the central coast.

Matt Silva Walker

Matt Silva Walker

Matt was born in Newcastle, Australia and has lived in Argentina and New York before moving to the central coast. He received a Bachelor of information Science at Newcastle University (Australia). Matt has over 20 years in the hospitality field working in the hotel industry. He started his care journey in his teens and early 20s, when he assisted his Great Aunt Ruth with fundraising for Senior Care Services, Meals on Wheels and companionship at the rural Senior Citizens Day Care Center where his Great Aunt was the founder. Matt's favorite thing to do is go hiking with his dog and cooking.

Lisa Castillo

Lisa Castillo

Lisa started with Home Instead SLO County as a caregiver in 2014. She was hired from within to Client Care Coordinator in 2017 and is currently the Client Care Manager. As a caregiver she found that caring for others and our aging community was her passion. Working with our clients and being a part of their care, quality of life and the aging process gives her purpose in life. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with loved ones in a variety of activities any playing beach volleyball with friends.

Celeste Diaz

Celeste Diaz

Celeste was born and raised on the Central Coast. Celeste's care journey started at the young age of 15 caring for her paternal grandfather. This experience sparked her interest in the helping profession and influenced her to pursue her Associate's Degree in Human Services. Celeste started her Home Instead career as a caregiver in 2020 at the start of COVID and has now returned as our new Service Coordinator. She is excited to continue being a helping hand to her community. Celeste enjoys tending her garden, making jewelry, and learning to cook new recipes.

Sherri Fischer

Sherri Fischer

Sherri began working with Home Instead as a Caregiver in 2015 and transitioned into the office in 2018 working on the Caregiver hiring, training and engagement side. However, her passion for providing care to those in need started in 1995 when she helped with her Great Grandmother and again in 2002 with her Grandmother through cancer and dementia. She is a proud Mom of a daughter, a son and a loveable dogchild and has been married for almost 20 years. She loves spending her free time at the beach, camping in the mountains, walking, fishing on the lake or anything in nature. Working with the Caregivers makes me so happy as I really enjoy people. We have such a wonderful team as our hearts are all in the same place."

Sandra Maez

Sandra has devoted 31 years to the homecare profession, bringing warmth, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to every senior she supports. She has worked for over three years with Home Instead, where her compassion and reliability have made a lasting impact. Sandra considers her greatest accomplishment to be helping seniors maintain their independence and dignity-a purpose that fuels her every day. Her work isn't just a career; it's a lifelong mission to make a meaningful difference. Raised in Arroyo Grande in San Luis Obispo County, Sandra is a proud mother of two and grandmother of four. Her love for walking and gardening reflects the same nurturing spirit she brings to her caregiving. Whether tending to her roses or offering companionship to a client, Sandra's presence is a source of comfort and joy. She continues to be a quiet force of compassion in her community, enriching lives with every step she takes.

Elizabeth Matousek

Elizabeth Matousek

Elizabeth was born and raised on the Central Coast. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at California State University, Fresno, then returned home to pursue her passion for serving the geriatric community. Her passion for working in Geriatrics was initially sparked by her experiences while helping to care for her grandfather living with dementia, but later florished through her academic research on Alzheimer's disease and other forms of Dementia at Fresno State. In the future, Elizabeth wants to pursue a career as a Gerontological social worker to help to support older individuals living on the Central Coast. Elizabeth is eager to give back to her community, and is happy to be a part of the Home Instead family.
