Job Description
Home Care Recruiter — Community Outreach & Talent
Home Instead — Pasadena & Monrovia, CAFull-time (40 hours/week), Tuesday–Saturday | In-person with local community travelCompensation: $26–$32 per hour, plus bonus structure
Be the Person Who Launches Healthcare Careers
At Home Instead, our Care Professionals change lives every day — and many of them are just beginning a lifelong journey in healthcare. We're looking for a Caregiver Recruiter who sees recruiting as more than filling openings: someone who builds real relationships in our community and helps people discover that caregiving is a meaningful career and a proven entry point into the healthcare field.
If you light up in front of a room, love shaking hands at hiring events, and take pride in making the right hire — not just the fast one — we want to meet you.
What You'll Do
Get out in the community. You'll be our face at job fairs, hiring events, community colleges, workforce centers, churches, and partner organizations across the San Gabriel Valley. You'll build lasting relationships with community partners and host in-person hiring events that bring great people through our doors.
Inspire the next generation of healthcare workers. You'll deliver presentations showing how caregiving opens doors to careers in nursing, therapy, healthcare administration, and beyond — positioning Home Instead as the place to start.
Own full-cycle recruiting. From posting and sourcing through screening, interviewing, offers, and onboarding, you'll manage the entire hiring journey and ensure every candidate has a positive, professional experience — with same-day communication as the standard.
Hire for fit, not just fill. You'll evaluate candidates for the qualities that make caregivers thrive and stay: heart, reliability, and alignment with the families they'll serve. Your success is measured not just in hires, but in retention and the quality of care our clients experience.
Partner across the business. You'll work closely with operations, HR, and leadership to forecast hiring needs, track recruiting metrics, spot turnover trends, and continuously improve how we hire.
What Success Looks Like
- A strong, active pipeline of qualified caregiver candidates
- Regular community hiring events and partner presentations each month
- Positions filled quickly with candidates who stay and excel
- Measurably lower caregiver turnover and consistently great client experiences
What You Bring
- A proven recruiting track record — you can point to hires you made who stayed, grew, and made the organization better
- Experience with community outreach, hiring events, or public presentations — you're confident and engaging in front of groups
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; warm, professional, and responsive
- Knowledge of the senior care or healthcare industry (or genuine passion to learn it)
- Strong organization and the ability to work independently, juggle priorities, and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with computers, including Excel and Word; experience with an ATS/HRIS a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; at least one year of related business experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record; ability to travel locally and work occasional evenings or weekends for events
What We Offer
- $26–$32 per hour based on experience, plus a performance bonus structure
- Full benefits package, including paid vacation
- Access to a company vehicle for community events and outreach
- A real career path in HR — grow your skills and advance within our organization
- A consistent Tuesday–Saturday, 40-hour schedule — Saturdays are prime time for hiring events, and you'll have Sundays and Mondays off
Why Home Instead
You'll join a mission-driven team helping older adults live safely and with dignity at home — and you'll be the reason compassionate people find careers they love. We offer meaningful work, a supportive office culture, and the chance to make a visible impact in the Pasadena and Monrovia communities.
