Margie Orth

Margie Orth

President/ Co-Owner

Throughout her professional life, Margie Orth has been looking for ways to take care of people and pay her blessings forward. Joining the team at Home Instead in 2018 provided her with the opportunity to truly live her mission of service to others. Before joining the team, she spent 30 years in the home safety industry, where she ran the day-to-day operations of a Cleveland-based security company. In her free time, Margie volunteered with various nonprofit organizations such as Cornerstone of Hope, which further encouraged and fueled her passion for helping others. She grew up in Brecksville-Broadview Heights and still calls the area home to this day. She attended the University of Toledo, and recently graduated from the Goldman Sachs 10K SMB program. Alicia D., Home Instead Tucson, AZ

At Home Instead Tucson, Alicia D is known for bringing comfort and a smile to every home visited. Alicia comes to us with a background in i started working at an assisted living facility as a housekeeper on the dementia ward, then promoted to a resident assistant. i decided to get my cna certificate and was accepted into a program at carondelet, at. st. joe's hospital where i did on the job trading na to rn. due to my mother in law illness i had to leave the program to be a care giver to her. i have had several jobs working as a medical assistant in dr. offices and have through my career taken time off to care for various family members,. my father in law, my grandmother, my daughter, and now my husband. so it only seemed a natural transition to continue the job i loved to do, care giving. i was hired at home instead only a few months ago and i love it!. With 4-5 months at Home Instead, Alicia has built relationships rooted in trust, compassion, and shared joy.

For Alicia, the reward is in the connection. "I love that they feel comfortable to allow me into their personal space and trust me enough in a way that they can go to sleep for a few hours and they feel safe and know every thing is ok. That by my being there they can stay in their own home were they want to be instead of a facility that can seem very frightening. They are surrounded by things they know and love in their own home. I love hearing their stories. The adventures that they have had, how they lead their lives. I consider it a privilege to be a part of someone's life in a time when they need to have help to keep living a life they created for themselves," Alicia shares. Through these shared moments, Alicia has learned valuable life lessons, noting, "Everyone is a human being and deserves to live the best life they can live. All the way to the end."

Alicia's daily goal is simple: ensure every client feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. Skilled in i feel i do well with dementia clients. i can't explain why i just have a connection with them. i understand how scary it must be to not remember the little things we take for granted. i treat every client as if i were caring for my own family member. i hope that when it is my turn to need a care pro, i will be treated the same way., Alicia finds joy in the details of each visit. "I love when I start my shift, each morning my client says... "thank you so much for coming today I didn't know if you would be here or not. Now I can relax and know everything is OK, and I can get through this day."," Alicia says of a typical day.

Alicia praises the local team for their dedication and communication. "People often tell me, we used your company for my... you were awesome. Your employees were so kind, and loving," Alicia notes. "We stand by each other, and we care for all our clients. When something needs to be done it's done quickly or on time."

In every way, Alicia reflects the heart of caregiving: consistency, connection, and the quiet pride of knowing you've made someone's life better today.
