Home Instead Senior Care Featured on Forbes’ 2017 Best Employers ListOMAHA, Neb. – May 9, 2017 – Forbes' third annual "America's Best Employers" list has named Home Instead Senior Care one of its best employers for 2017. The list was generated using anonymous feedback from employees at the nation's top employers.

Companies on the Best Employers' list range across 25 different industry sectors – from government services to retail to healthcare. While the 2017 list featured a variety of healthcare companies, Home Instead is the only provider of home care services for seniors.

Home Instead Senior Care is looking for caring and compassionate CAREGivers to become a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community.  Home Instead Senior Care provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Companionship and conversation
  • Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
  • Medication and appointment reminders
  • Assistance with grooming and bathing

Service Coordinator

Home Instead Senior Care provides a variety of non-medical home care services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.

Home Instead Senior Care is looking for a steady, multi-tasker to join us in our mission to enhance the lives of aging adults and their families.  This role is at the center of the business with the main responsibility of connecting our caregiving workforce with the needs of our senior clients. This person must thrive in a fast-paced environment, be able to motivate and inspire a team and effectively respond to the changing needs of the seniors we serve.

The Service Coordinator is expected to perform a variety of duties in the coordination of scheduling service for clients.  The Service Coordinator is responsible for scheduling clients and CAREGiversSM in order to provide the highest quality service to clients with emphasis on creating extraordinary relationships.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Create and maintain client and CAREGiver schedules with an emphasis on creating high quality matches and the development of extraordinary relationships.
  • Follow up with all client and CAREGiver issues to ensure their problems are resolved.
  • Follow up and communicate CAREGiver and client issues to ensure problems are resolved.
  • Assist with recruiting and training CAREGivers and other various administrative office tasks.
  • Coordinate and participate in the on-call rotation.
Education/Experience Requirements:
  • High school graduation or the equivalent
  • One year of related business experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and auto insurance
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively
  • Must have the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines
  • Must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills
  • Must demonstrate discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness consistent with office standards, practices, policies and procedures
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of the senior care industry
  • Must have the ability to organize and prioritize daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly work

Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator

Home Instead Senior Care is looking for an innovative individual who can encourage and inspire others to join us in our mission to enhance the lives of aging adults and their families.  Home Instead Senior Care provides a variety of non-medical home care services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.

This position is responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and engaging our caregiving work force.  This person needs to be sincerely interested in the development and success of others in a fast-paced and growing organization.  This individual must possess excellent presentation skills and be able to make sound decisions in a timely and confident manner.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement new recruitment strategies online and within the community
  • Schedule and conduct applicant interviews in an efficient and professional manner
  • Conduct reference checks and follow Home Instead Senior Care standards for screening and conducting background checks
  • Create and maintain all employment records including but not limited to I-9 form, W-4 form and all other employment related documents
  • Schedule and conduct orientation and all training including training required to meet Home Instead standards and additional optional training
  • Develop engagement strategies that help promote CAREGiver retention and satisfaction
  • Assist as needed with the creation and maintenance of client and CAREGiver schedules with an emphasis on creating high quality matches and the development of extraordinary relationships.
