Joni is our Human Resources and Office Manager. She has been with the Reno Home Instead Senior Care office since July 2005. Her 15+ years of experience providing quality customer service for the seniors in our community in both the durable medical and insurance industries have proven invaluable to the growth of our organization. She anchors our Reno office operations handling human resources, payroll, accounts payable, and office administration. Joni's favorite activities include creating quilts for family and friends and early morning power walks.
Olivia Jewett is our Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator. She joined Home Instead Senior Care 2 years ago after relocating to Reno from Lehi, Utah. Olivia has 39 years of experience in the medical and caregiving fields. She began her career as a C.N.A and has since worked in convalescent homes, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, home health care, and hospice. After working hands on with patients and clients, Olivia moved into administration and has experience in billing, staffing, sales, and marketing. Her well rounded background and understanding of the needs of others sets a solid foundation for Olivia to recruit and keep engaged the highest quality of CAREGiver Northern Nevada has to offer. While this task is at times quite challenging, it is also the most rewarding when feedback from ecstatic clients is received.
When Olivia is not doing her best to increase the quality of CAREGiver and care found at Home Instead, you may find her cooking, creating art, or traveling both near and far to spend precious time with her family.
Rori joined Home Instead Senior Care in 2010. She has worked in many different areas of our business including recruitment, retention, training, client care, and sometimes moonlighting as a CAREGiver. She is currently performing duties for our Human Resources department as well as Client Care. She is the "Policy Principal" and is the go to quick guide resource for our office. Rori has been working around the aging community for the past 10 years. Beginning her career locally at an independent living community and then transferring to the Sanford Center for Aging at the University of Nevada, Reno. It was at the University that she gained valuable experience in state and federal grant writing, program development, implementation, and evaluation, community training, and instructing at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Joining Home Instead Senior Care has only further solidified her passion for working with the aging population and the professionals who support them.
In her spare time, Rori enjoys staying active practicing yoga and the circus arts as well as working on her home's feng shui.
Traci Cochran came to Home Instead Senior Care in early 2014. With her extensive background in elder care, Traci was enthusiastically brought onto our administrative team as Client Care Coordinator in 2016. Speak to her for 30 seconds and it will become clear that she hails from Pittsburgh (and is a die-hard Steelers fan). Pennsylvania is where she gained much of her 23 years of experience in senior care. She worked as a CNA, unit clerk, and staffing coordinator in a skilled nursing facility. Upon moving to Reno in 2013, Traci took her first go at in-home personal care. Boy, are we glad she did! Her favorite part of Client Care Coordination is being able to get to know our clients on a one-on-one basis. Traci enjoys being part of the team keeping our clients in their home or living setting of their choice. In her time away from work, Traci enjoys baking, spending time with family and walking her dog Buddie.
Anna joined our team in 2017 as our Client Care Coordinator/Home Care Consultant. She has worked in the medical field and management for over 15 years. Anna has extensive experience from many years working in Renown ER and as a Director in PCA services, Home Health, and Hospice. She went into the healthcare field because of a love for health, wellness and the joy of caring for and supporting others. She participates on several community boards and works with a local non profit to serve the community and expand her mission of community health. During her free time she enjoys her urban farm, yoga and just about anything outside.
MeLisa is responsible for all Accounts Receivable and Technology Support for our office. Her background is in computer programming and database analysis. She and her family relocated to the Reno area from Baltimore, MD 4 years ago. She started working for Home Instead Senior Care as a CAREGiver in 2013 when transitioning back to work from being a stay at home mom. Shortly after working in the field she transitioned into the office part time as her technical background was much needed in the Home Instead Senior Care office. She works closely with our Client Care Managers improving processes in data collection and entry. Since joining the office team full time she has taken on many additional job duties: Technical Assistance, Accounts Receivable/Billing Coordinator, Backup Scheduler, and Online Training Coordinator.
She is currently learning how to snowboard and you can find her on Mt. Rose beginner slopes every Sunday morning (winter months of course). She still delves into computer programming and is learning a few new coding languages here and there as a member of the Reno/Tahoe Women Who Code.
Amy is the Staffing Coordinator in our Reno office. She came to Home Instead in December 2009 with 10 years of customer service experience in the legal and hospitality sectors. In her nearly 8 years with Home Instead Amy has been an asset is multiple areas, from invoicing and accounts receivable to staffing duties for both the Reno and Carson City offices. Amy is presently supporting Client Care in their efforts to coordinate the highest quality of care possible for our clients as well as assisting in the recruitment and retention of the highest quality care staff. Amy's quality interactions with clients, CAREGivers, and families aid in assuring the very best experience with Home Instead Senior Care possible.
When she isn't working Amy enjoys the great outdoors with her family.
Kourtney Smith is our Service and On-Call Coordinator. She is a Native Nevadan who grew up in Fallon. Kourtney has been in the care industry for over 6 years. She began in 2010, living in Washington State and completing a medical assisting program at Everest College. It was at this time she fell in love with helping others. She later moved to California to care for her Grandfather as he was living with pancreatic cancer. At this time, she was supplementing her work at an assisted living center. Wanting to return to Nevada, Kourtney applied for a position as a CAREGiver with Home Instead Senior Care in Reno in 2015. Kourtney wasted no time in getting in her application when a position as a Service Coordinator opened. She brings a knack for efficiency and a CAREGiver's understanding to the scheduling office. Kourtney's favorite part about her position is getting to interact with both clients and CAREGivers. In her spare time, you can find Kourtney spending time with her nieces and nephews and on the field coaching little league softball.
Daulton became part of the Home Instead Senior Care family in 2017. She started working in the home care field over ten years ago. She has worked various medical and retail positions during that time gaining extensive customer service skills and a deep passion for helping people. She is our Service and Administrative Coordinator and assists with Recruitment and Engagement. Daulton's friendly face will be the first you see upon entering our office! Daulton began her career working at a family-owned home care and durable medical equipment company in her home town of Orange County California as a medical equipment tech and billing assistant. Her most recent position was Scheduling and Admin Assist at Brooks Home Health and Hospice in Ocala Florida where she had been living the past few years. She relocated to Reno after her fiancé accepted a job offer in his home town. This brought her to Home Instead Senior Care and the rewarding and fulfilling career she says she was seeking. In her time away from work, Daulton enjoys being actively involved in local volunteering, especially with animals, and hiking the beautiful landscape she now calls home.
