​Since opening in 2005 Allan has been instrumental in the growth and development of high quality care in the area. Board Member and Founder of Personal Care Association of Nevada( PCAN), Co-Chair of Personal Care Agencies Advisory Committee (PCAAC), Founding Member of Transitional Care of Northern Nevada (TCoNN), Board Member of Nevada Senior Corps. Association, Member of Caregiver Coalition, Healthcare Resources & Solutions Network, Past President of Senior Coalition.


Sarah Deardorff - General Manager

Sarah Deardorff - General Manager

Originally from the Blue Ridge Mountains Sarah developed an interest in outdoor activities and a love for horses and hiking.  Recently she relocated from Truckee after 22 years raising her family while working in the Non-Profit industry.  She is a graduate from UNR specializing in Health & Community Services with additional training in Gerontology and Nutrition.  On weekends you can find her hiking the trails, paddling or creating in the kitchen.  Her greatest passion is to help the members of the community that raised us find their next steps.


MeLisa Folsom-Operations Manager

MeLisa Folsom-Operations Manager

MeLisa is responsible for all Accounts Receivable/Payable and Technology Support for our office.  Her background is in computer programming and database analysis. She and her family relocated to the Reno area from Baltimore, MD 4 years ago.  She started working for Home Instead Senior Care as a CAREGiver in 2013 when transitioning back to work from being a stay at home mom. Shortly after working in the field she transitioned into the office part time as her technical background was much needed in the Home Instead Senior Care office.  She works closely with our Client Care Managers improving processes in data collection and entry. Since joining the office team full time she has taken on many additional job duties: Technical Assistance, Accounts Receivable/Billing Coordinator, Backup Scheduler, and Online Training Coordinator. 

​She is currently learning how to snowboard and you can find her on Mt. Rose beginner slopes every Sunday morning (winter months of course). She still delves into computer programming and is learning a few new coding languages here and there as a member of the Reno/Tahoe Women Who Code.


Olivia Jewett-Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator

Olivia Jewett-Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator

Olivia Jewett is our Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator.  She joined Home Instead Senior Care 2 years ago after relocating to Reno from Lehi, Utah.  Olivia has 39 years of experience in the medical and caregiving fields.  She began her career as a C.N.A and has since worked in convalescent homes, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, home health care, and hospice.  After working hands on with patients and clients, Olivia moved into administration and has experience in billing, staffing​, sales, and marketing.  Her well rounded background and understanding of the needs of others sets a solid foundation for Olivia to recruit and keep engaged the highest quality of CAREGiver Northern Nevada has to offer.  While this task is at times quite challenging, it is also the most rewarding when feedback from ecstatic clients is received. 

When Olivia is not doing her best to increase the quality of CAREGiver and care found at Home Instead, you may find her cooking, creating art, or traveling both near and far to spend precious time with her family.  ​


Traci Cochran - Client Care Coordinator

Traci Cochran - Client Care Coordinator

Traci Cochran came to Home Instead Senior Care in early 2014.  With her extensive background in elder care, Traci was enthusiastically brought onto our administrative team as Client Care Coordinator in 2016.  Speak to her for 30 seconds and it will become clear that she hails from Pittsburgh (and is a die-hard Steelers fan).  Pennsylvania is where she gained much of her 23 years of experience in senior care.  She worked as a CNA, unit clerk, and staffing coordinator in a skilled nursing facility.  Upon moving to Reno in 2013, Traci took her first go at in-home personal care.  Boy, are we glad she did! Her favorite part of Client Care Coordination is being able to get to know our clients on a one-on-one basis.  Traci enjoys being part of the team keeping our clients in their home or living setting of their choice.  In her time away from work, Traci enjoys baking, spending time with family and walking her dog Buddie.​


Daulton Emerson-Compliance Coordinator

Daulton Emerson-Compliance Coordinator

Daulton became part of the Home Instead Senior Care family in 2017.  She started working in the home care field over ten years ago.  She has worked various medical and retail positions during that time gaining extensive customer service skills and a deep passion for helping people. She is our Compliance Coordinator and assists with Recruitment and Engagement.  Daulton's friendly face will be the first you see upon entering our office!  Daulton began her career working at a family-owned home care and durable medical equipment company in her home town of Orange County California as a medical equipment tech and billing assistant. Her most recent position was Scheduling and Admin Assist at Brooks Home Health and Hospice in Ocala Florida where she had been living the past few years.  She relocated to Reno after her fiancé accepted a job offer in his home town.  This brought her to Home Instead Senior Care and the rewarding and fulfilling career she says she was seeking. In her time away from work, Daulton enjoys being actively involved in local volunteering, especially with animals, and hiking the beautiful landscape she now calls home. ​


Emily Stewart - Staffing Coordinator/On-Call Supervisor

Emily Stewart - Staffing Coordinator/On-Call Supervisor
Emily joined the Home Instead Senior Care Reno office in 2018. Emily grew up in Reno, and found herself drawn back to the desert after several years away from the state working as a music therapist in a variety of healthcare and private settings. As a Board-Certified Music Therapist, Emily has expertise in communicating and developing relationships with persons from all walks of life. She is excited to bring her skills and passion for serving others to the Service Coordinator and On-Call Supervisor positions at Home Instead Senior Care. In these positions, Emily works closely with CAREGivers, clients, and their families to help meet all of their needs, and support them through the aging process. 

When she’s not in the office, Emily can be found jamming at open mics, taking bodhran lessons with her parents, leading music therapy groups, or stepping onto a yoga mat.
