Jack and Jacqueline St.Clair, Ownership Team

Jack and Jacqueline St.Clair, Ownership Team
Jack St. Clair is originally from Roanoke, VA and has also lived in Boiling Springs, NC and Dallas / Ft. Worth, TX.   In his spare time, Jack enjoys jogging, reading, biking, traveling, and playing with his two children, Jonathan and Mary Anna.  Jack is the youngest of seven children and frequently visits his family in Roanoke, VA.

Jack began working for the Lynchburg, VA office of Home Instead Senior Care in 2003.  He moved in 2004 to the Roanoke, VA office where he stayed for two years.  It was during this time that he and Jacqueline decided that they wanted to open up their own franchise of Home Instead Senior Care.  They opened the doors of their own franchise in Manassas, VA on October 16, 2006.

Jack has a love for serving others, especially the senior population.

Jacqueline is originally from Roanoke, VA. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC and a Master of Social Work degree from Baylor University. Jacqueline is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia and taught at the university level for eight years. Her primary background has been providing therapy for children, adolescents, and their families. Jacqueline eagerly embraced the opportunity to join her husband, Jack St.Clair, in the business. She has been blessed to have close relationships with both of her grandmothers. In fact, one of Jacqueline's grandmothers received services from the local Home Instead Senior Care office inRoanoke, VA for a year before passing away in July of 2010. According to Jacqueline, "It was truly amazing to be on the giving and receiving end of care. My grandmother loved her CAREGiver! Because this business cares about people, it is something I can believe in." Jacqueline enjoys volunteering, jogging, vacationing with her husband, and spending quality time with her two children, Jonathan and Mary Anna.

In early 2014, Jack and Jacqueline announced the purchase of the Reston Home Instead franchise and look forward to serving even more seniors in Northern Virginia.


Brett Rice, Vice President of Operations

Brett Rice, Vice President of Operations

Brett brings his love for service and country to our team after over ten years in the federal government. Brett was born and raised outside of Detroit, MI and holds a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University. Most recently, as a Supervisory Special Agent, Brett provided protection and security for several senior cabinet-level officials. After serving in various government security positions both domestic and abroad, he feels God has led him to Home Instead Senior Care. In late July 2017, he was offered a position with Home Instead Senior Care as the Vice President of Operations. He is responsible for all operations in both the Herndon and Manassas offices and looks forward to serving his community.

Brett grew-up around the corner from his grandparents and vividly remembers their involvement in his life. He credits his love for woodworking and "tinkering" to his grandfather, Reid and his fondness for card games and cooking to his grandma, Edith. It is Brett's desire to truly honor and care for the seniors in our area that have shaped our great nation, especially our veterans. Brett enjoys staying active outdoors, working out and spending time with his wife, Alena and their two sons. 



Julie Pavkov, Director of Human Resources

Julie Pavkov, Director of Human Resources

​Julie Pavkov's corporate Human Resource experience extends from small family owned software companies to government contracting. She is excited about a new adventure serving in the healthcare industry where she is eager to support the organization of Home Instead Senior Care and make a positive impact in the lives of Clients and CAREGivers alike. Julie graduated from James Madison University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology. She is originally from Manassas, VA and lives with her husband of 12 years and two children. She enjoys serving at her church, running and keeping up with her busy family life. 


Jason Barrett, Director of Business Development

Jason Barrett, Director of Business Development

Jason has spent more than 15 years building relationships in the healthcare industry with Hospitals, Senior Living Communities and Physicians.  His extensive background in the industry are a tremendous resource to the Home Instead Senior Care Team, providing insights into the various facets of healthcare affecting seniors from medication management and post-operative care to hospice services.   An avid Redskins fan, Jason enjoys spending time with his wife and children, as well as their four-legged family members Bristow and Rambo, working in the yard and even manages a round of golf from time to time.  


Ann Kinard, Registered Nurse

Ann Kinard, Registered Nurse

​With 30 years of experience, Ann has both the knowledge and instinct that allows her to accurately assess clients and match them with CAREGivers that understand their needs.  Each personal care client and their family meets with Ann prior to the start of services.  Ann's caring personality enables clients to feel comfortable speaking with her about sensitive issues.  Additionally, Ann oversees the training and competency of all CAREGivers who provide personal care services. Ann loves the mission at Home Instead. "We treat our clients and staff as we would our immediate family.​"


Gail Earhart, Relationship Manager

Gail Earhart,  Relationship Manager

Prior to joining Home Instead Senior Care, Gail cared for her father for six years. During this time she realized how much she loved caring for him and knew she should continue caring for seniors. She joined Home Instead in 2010, starting out as a CAREGiver part-time. Soon afterwards, Gail moved into the position of Quality Assurance Coordinator, ensuring our clients receive the best of care. 

Gail is now the Relationships Manager, overseeing the Client Care Department and Staffing Department. Gail is married and has three children. She enjoys reading, watching movies and playing games. But mostly she loves working at Home Instead Senior Care and strives to ensure our clients are receiving the best care!


Lynne Marsh - Family Resource Specialist

Lynne Marsh - Family Resource Specialist
Lynne was born and raised in the Allegheny Mountains of Central PA.  She, her husband and her 3 children moved to Northern VA in 1986 after the Steel industry fell in the US.  
A job fair was Lynne’s first introduction to Home Instead Senior Care and she was hired as a CAREGiver in the Spring of 2014.  Soon after she got her Personal Care Attendant and Alzheimer’s Training certificates.  Her ongoing training and encouragement urged her to consider a position as Asst. Client Care Coordinator.  11 months later she moved to the Herndon office as a Client Care Coordinator.                                             
For Lynne, the most rewarding aspect of this position was to reach out to the prospective clients who had contacted HISC for information so they would not “fall through the cracks” and she worked diligently to get them the care they needed.  Soon she was offered a job that was tailor made for these skills as a Family Resource Specialist.  Lynne is the first person one speaks with when they are looking for home care with Home Instead.
Lynne lives in Manassas with her husband, Russ, her calico cat, Mac and enjoys having her children and their families very close by.  Tidbits about Lynne – She and Russ are Civil war reenactors with the 2nd Rhode Island Volunteers.  She is an accomplished seamstress of over 50 years but a novice quilter and skydiving is on her bucket list.


Gayle Garcia, CAREGiver Relations Coordinator

​Gayle joined the Home Instead team in 2012 as a part-time CAREGiver every other weekend and then came on board as full time CAREGiver.  In April of 2014, she joined the administrative team, while continuing to work with clients on the weekends. In June of 2016,Gayle took on the responsibilities of the CAREGiver Relations Coordinator and is responsible for interviewing and hiring new CAREGivers, amongst many other HR duties.  Prior to joining the Home Instead team, Gayle worked twenty years with government contracting, while filling the role of a family caregiver for both her mother and her sister.  Her personal caregiving experiences create a unique and invaluable perspective when hiring the caregivers responsible for the care of our clients.  


Annmarie Ciaverella, CAREGiver Relations Coordinator

Annemarie hails from Miami, FL where she graduated from Florida International University with a BA in Modern Languages. Annemarie came to DC to attend American University where she obtained a Master of Arts in International Communication, met her husband of 34 years, and has three children and one adorable grandaughter.  She loves opera and ballet and was once kissed on the hand by Luciano Pavarotti! ​ 

Annemarie began working at HISC as a faithful CAREGiver in 2010 and never looked back. Annemarie has had an affinity for the elderly from a young age. Starting at HISC after being a stay at home mom for 23 years was the perfect match.  

When the opportunity to join the office staff was presented to her, she jumped in once again.  She currently is our CAREGiver Relations Coordinator in the Human Resources Department. Annemarie says she loves helping CAREGivers have a great CAREGiver experience as they generously give of themselves in order to make a positive difference in the lives of our clients and their families. 


Jeannie Carroll, CAREGiver Retention Coordinator

Jeannie Carroll, CAREGiver Retention Coordinator

Jeannie has worked for Home Instead Senior Care for over 10 years. Prior to working at Home Instead, she was a stay at home mom for many years and started working part time hours as a CAREGiver. Jeannie joined the administrative team 6 years ago, initially as a Staff Coordinator.  For the past 5 years, she has worked in the HR Department, using her vast caregiving experience in the role of CAREGiver Retention Coordinator. She conducts new CAREGiver /Client introductions, coaches and mentors new and seasoned CAREGivers, handles out-processing as well as other procedures within the HR Department, coordinates appreciation events and writes a weekly newsletter for CAREGivers.  

Jeannie has always had a natural affection for seniors and learned the importance of caring for one's elders through the example set by her family.  When Jeannie was a child, her great-grandmother lived upstairs in the home of a great-aunt. Jeannie spent many hours keeping her great-grandmother company; spending hours listening to her stories about the "old country", brushing her hair, holding her hand, praying with her, talking to her, and assisting with meal time.

In Jeannie's own words, she has "found that serving seniors, the company mission and the spirit of the owners has been a very good fit for me.  My goal is to ensure that every CAREGiver truly feels welcomed, confident and positive about the job they do by providing a 'nurturing home base' and the support and knowledge they need to succeed in their work."


Chris Nason, Human Resources

As Human Resource Specialist, Chris keeps track of all CAREGiver documents, classes, and works with each CAREGiver to help make their career at HISC a success!  Chris joined Home Instead Senior Care in 2014.  

In her spare time she enjoys reading and art and making fairy gardens for her coworkers.  She is also dedicated to physical fitness and weightlifting.



Joyce Ugochukwu, Staff Coordinator

Joyce joined the Home Instead Senior Care team in 2014 and serves as a Staff Coordinator, ensuring our clients are paired up with the PERFECT Caregiver to meet their needs.  Joyce always knew she wanted to work in the senior care industry, watching her mother work as a Nurse while raising Joyce and her four siblings.  A native of Northern Virginia, Joyce is very connected with her very supportive family.

Tessa Lamb, Client Intake Specialist

Tessa Lamb, Client Intake Specialist

Tessa is a Regional Client In-take Specialist. She began as a CAREGiver with Home Instead Senior Care at the Herndon office 2 years ago, May 2015. She graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She also completed 2 Master degrees from Johns Hopkins University. In addition to her 3 degrees, she is a Licensed Practical Nurse. Tessa has been married for almost 20 years to Ralph, a wonderful Dental Hygienist and 25 year veteran [retired] USA ARMY.

She has spent the last 20 years in the drug development field, Clinical Research. Tessa enjoys helping people on many levels - mentally, physically, and emotionally, especially seniors.  Seniors are a very special population. She loves the wealth of knowledge they have through both experiences and history. She also loves their gentle, kind, and precious hearts. For her, it is also personal. Tessa was also a Master Personal Trainer who developed over 10 years of sales experience. 



Christina Quigley, Staff Coordinator

​Christina joined the Home Instead Senior Care team in 2014 as a CAREGiver.  Her experience as a caregver gves her a unique perspective in her role as a Staffing Coordinator who spends her days matching clients and caregivers for the best possible outcomes.  Christina knows first hand what our clients expect from the CAREGivers helping them. 

"I’ve always liked helping people, so when it was time for me to take a break from caregiving, I knew I wanted to stay within the Home Instead family. "


Barbara Jones, RN, BSN, MSN

Barbara Jones, RN, BSN, MSN

Barabara's passion for Nursing comes directly from her desire to help those in need. To become a Nurse is not only to treat the clients illnesses but to help increase their quality of life. Barbara has worked in the medical field for 40 years and 20 years as a Registered Nurse. Her main focus was Cardiology and Intensive care and many of her clients were seniors. .

Barbara has worked as the Nurse/Educator for Home Instead Senior Care in Manassas, VA since July, 2017. Prior to this position she was a CAREGiver for a year. According to Barbara, "Home Instead Senior Care has given me the opportunity to train quality CAREGivers which will help our seniors so they can remain in their homes as long as possible. My goals are to help our seniors feel needed, respected, purposeful and have an increased quality of life."



Alana Dyar - Client Care Coordinator

Alana Dyar - Client Care Coordinator

​Alana grew up in California and worked as an Elementary School Librarian before moving to Virginia in 2013.  Alana joined the Home Instead Senior Care Team as a CAREGiver in 2013 providing direct care to our clients. In July 2016, Alana transitioned to the role of Client Care Coordinator, using her personal experience as a CAREGiver to ensure our clients are receiving the care they need.  "I enjoy my job very much because it allows me the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people and hear their amazing stories."
