Paul has been a part of the Healthcare and Home Care Industry since 1995. As a former Administrator over a Medicare Certified agency and a Regional Manager over four branches, he brings great managerial presence to our awesome team. His Healthcare experience expands over Nursing Home and Hospital Operations, as well. He has worked with other senior organizations such as Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia, The Alzheimer's Association and Senior Connections in Richmond, Virginia. He has also been a member of such organizations as Virginia Association of Personal Care Providers, Partners in Healthcare and Virginia Association of Home Care. Paul has worked tirelessly for the advocacy of our Senior and Disabled populations. His heart for caregiving spawned from caring for his grandparents, his mother and from the many members of his family that served as Doctors, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants.
Maggie and her husband of 37 wonderful years moved to the area in December 2018 from Northeast Georgia. Her passion for providing best practice care to adults choosing to age in place through completion of life led her to joining Home Instead Senior Care in March 2019. Maggie previously worked as Education Coordinator for a 90-bed Health & Rehabilitation facility, and she owned and operated one of the first Family Personal Care & Hospice Homes in Georgia for 15 years. Her interests include becoming an active member of Temple Baptist Church, and she is a newly appointed member of the Board of Directors for Hospice Home Development in the Newport News and Hampton areas. She has one daughter living in Long Island, New York, and one son and family living in Japan.
Mark joined the the team in December 2018 after moving to the area from North Carolina where he previously worked as the Home Care Consultant at the local Home Instead Senior Care office. Trained as a Social Worker, he worked with children, families, and seniors prior to becoming Director and CEO for Health and Social Services in the United Kingdom. Mark settled in the United States in 2017 and has found that he loves the people, culture, weather, and food! He has a passion for God, helping seniors, the people he works with, and the communities to which he belongs, singing, rugby, and fishing.
Jennifer joined the Home Instead Senior Care staff in April 2019 following 10 years in medical administration, as well as hands-on experience with patient care in Long-Term Care facilities and an Intensive Care Unit at a local hospital. Jennifer developed a strong sense of devotion to helping others at an early age. Her Grandmother Dorothy was a tremendous inspiration in her life and one of the main reasons she decided to go into the medical field. She has volunteered in animal shelters and a disabled children's home for 5 years, and is currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration. A native of Illinois, she has been married to her husband Tom for 5 years and they have 5 boys. She enjoys the outdoors, country music and is a firm believer that family comes first. Jennifer joined Home Instead Senior Care so that she could continue her compassionate journey to help provide high standard care to those in need. To her, it's personal.
Marjorie retired more than 10 years ago from careers that included positions as a Spanish teacher, realtor and jobs in training, marketing, and public relations. Little did she know that retirement would provide the opportunity to follow a passion that has led to an incredibly satisfying time in her life! Because of her moving experience with her father who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, Marjorie became a tireless volunteer and advocate for people with Alzheimer's or dementia and their caregivers. Marjorie is past Chair of the Williamsburg Walk to End Alzheimer's, a member of the Peninsula Alzheimer's Leadership Council, and a certified art facilitator and trainer for the Memories in the Making Creative Art Program.
Mary is the Registered Nurse Trainer at Home Instead Senior Care. She has practiced nursing in a variety of areas over her 30-year career, and she is passionate about training and educating nursing students and other healthcare workers to provide excellent quality care. In addition to Home Instead Senior Care, Mary is an instructor at local nursing programs, including Thomas Nelson Community College.
Christina has been a member of our Home Instead Senior Care team since 2016 as our On-Call Supervisor. She previously spent 20 years in the military working in Information Security, and she holds a degree in Psychology, and is pursuing a degree in Computer Information Systems. Christina worked at another Home Instead Senior Care franchise as a CAREGiver in the past, where she had a wonderful experience with her dear client. As someone who has always felt called to serve others, Christina has always wanted to do meaningful work that she truly enjoys, which is what she gets to do every day at Home Instead Senior Care.
