"I am continually struck by the professionalism, high level of caring and exemplary caregivers that I have met from Home Instead. My mom couldn't live without them, and neither could I.
Megan brings a wealth of experience working with seniors and their families. She has been married to her husband for 25 years and together they are raising a full house of eight children. She has a nursing degree from Burlington County College in New Jersey and loves to knit, spend time with her family, and enjoy a good book.
Shelley started in the healthcare field as a staffing coordinator, and later enjoyed working as a marketing representative and also as a recruitment and retention coordinator. She has always loved working with the senior community and often took her daughter to nursing homes where she volunteered to brighten the residents' days, even painting their nails and giving them a little lipstick and blush as they visited. They always loved seeing her and she has a great respect and love for seniors. Born and raised in Michigan, Shelley has lived in Virginia for 20 years and has become deeply involved in the local community. "My goal is make a positive impact on as many seniors' lives as possible. I love to listen to their stories. I choose to work with Home Instead Senior Care because they go above and beyond in every aspect of care for the seniors in our community."
Marjorie retired more than 10 years ago from careers that included positions as a Spanish teacher, realtor and jobs in training, marketing, and public relations. Little did she know that retirement would provide the opportunity to follow a passion that has led to an incredibly satisfying time in her life! Because of her moving experience with her father who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, Marjorie became a tireless volunteer and advocate for people with Alzheimer's or dementia and their caregivers. Marjorie is past Chair of the Williamsburg Walk to End Alzheimer's, a member of the Peninsula Alzheimer's Leadership Council, and a certified art facilitator and trainer for the Memories in the Making Creative Art Program.
