Mark joined the the team in December 2018 after moving to the area from North Carolina where he previously worked as the Home Care Consultant at the local Home Instead Senior Care office. Trained as a Social Worker, he worked with children, families, and seniors prior to becoming Director and CEO for Health and Social Services in the United Kingdom. Mark settled in the United States in 2017 and has found that he loves the people, culture, weather, and food! He has a passion for God, helping seniors, the people he works with, and the communities to which he belongs, singing, rugby, and fishing.
Caitlynn came to Home Instead Senior Care in February 2019 after relocating to the Williamsburg area. She fell in love with the Company working for franchises in other states and is thrilled to join the Newport News office as Staffing Coordinator. She schedules CAREGivers with clients by finding the best possible matches to build long-term relationships. Caitlynn has a background in the senior industry, working in home care, long-term care, and hospice. She is an experienced dementia and aging speaker with a passion for education that has taken her from Alzheimer’s programs to Retiree conferences and everywhere in between. She earned her Master of Science in Gerontology and Aging Studies from Concordia University, Nebraska, in 2015. She brings to the table her collected experience from working in Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Louisiana.
Bette joined Home Instead Senior Care in July 2018. Prior to her working with seniors and their families in their homes, she was a Neonatal Intensive Care RN for 16 years and taught nursing for two years. In her role as Home Instead Senior Care Registered Nurse, she oversees the Company's Personal Care program, including supervising professional caregivers and meeting with seniors and their families in their homes to develop personalized care plans to meet their changing needs. Bette brings a passion for caring; whether it's babies, seniors, or somewhere in between.
Marjorie retired more than 10 years ago from careers that included positions as a Spanish teacher, realtor and jobs in training, marketing, and public relations. Little did she know that retirement would provide the opportunity to follow a passion that has led to an incredibly satisfying time in her life! Because of her moving experience with her father who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, Marjorie became a tireless volunteer and advocate for people with Alzheimer's or dementia and their caregivers. Marjorie is past Chair of the Williamsburg Walk to End Alzheimer's, a member of the Peninsula Alzheimer's Leadership Council, and a certified art facilitator and trainer for the Memories in the Making Creative Art Program.
Christina has been a member of our Home Instead Senior Care team since 2016 as our On-Call Supervisor. She previously spent 20 years in the military working in Information Security, and she holds a degree in Psychology, and is pursuing a degree in Computer Information Systems. Christina worked at another Home Instead Senior Care franchise as a CAREGiver in the past, where she had a wonderful experience with her dear client. As someone who has always felt called to serve others, Christina has always wanted to do meaningful work that she truly enjoys, which is what she gets to do every day at Home Instead Senior Care.
