A Passion for Serving Seniors and their Families
Steven and Fran Glassman opened their Home Instead Senior Care office in Northbrook in January of 2002 to serve the needs of the area's senior population. Steven Glassman notes that being an owner of a Home Instead Senior Care franchise is personal to him because of his own experience caring for his mother. Steven functioned as a caregiver for his mother for a 20-year period while she suffered from multiple illnesses, including dementia. He made a vow to get into a business where he could make a difference in seniors' lives, and God willing, he is able to do so. Steven states "I am happy that we can change the lives of seniors on a daily basis. It is what we do, and what we love to do."
Fran Glassman notes that Home Instead Senior Care is personal to her and recalls childhood memories of spending time with her grandparents and great aunt at home, on vacations, and getting ready for school. She has always felt a special bond with the seniors in her life, whether they are friends or family. Fran states, "Seniors have been a passion of mine for my entire life." The fact that she is able to give back to the senior population and provide the services that Home Instead Senior Care offers is truly a dream fulfilled. Fran says, "Every day I walk into the office I have to pinch myself to remind me this is not a dream but a reality that I am able to provide a service to seniors which makes their lives more memorable."

"I just want to take this moment to express our family's gratitude to Home Instead for their selfless care and positive energy. Our caregiver visits once a week to help with the bath. Then, she helps out with cleaning, organizing, walking the dog and whatever we need that particular week. She is always happy to see us.
