Catherine spent 25 years in the project development of senior housing, assisted living, and skilled nursing care projects and was very excited to move to the personal side of the senior care business through the acquisition of the Marin County Home Instead Senior Care franchise with her husband, Todd, who’s prior career was in the automotive industry managing large departments, budgets, and staff.
Carol has an extensive nursing career involving Emergency, Intensive Care, Home Health, Quality Management, and Hospice Nursing. She has taught nursing at the Universities of Pennsylvania and San Francisco. As an educator, complex information is presented in a manner that is easy to understand and apply. Carol has highly developed communication skills which foster unity and cooperation. Through personal experience, Carol has an immense capacity for compassion and understanding. Our staff, clients and families derive great benefit from her skillful insight and compassion.
Laura Pera joined the Home Instead Senior Care team in 2014 attracted by the opportunity to help seniors and their families deal with the many challenges they face. As the Client Care Coordinator, she works with our clients to ensure that they receive the highest quality of care. Prior to the start of service, she meets with clients and their families to develop a personalized Care Plan. On an ongoing basis, she makes frequent quality assurance visits in the home to address any concerns or changes in conditions, as well as to support our staff in the delivery of care. Laura received a Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara in Business. She has worked in sales and customer service and has a strong passion for helping people. That passion is evident when working with our clients.
Riana Moore joined the Home Instead Team in May, 2015. She is our Operations Supervisor and oversees and directs the activities of the Home Instead office. She has a broad spectrum of responsibilities to ensure the smooth running of the office and addressing our clients needs. With over thirty years' experience in the corporate field, she combines her business acumen with her compassion for our clients and staff to bring the best solution to any situation at hand. Riana was initially a Home Instead caregiver and that experience allows her to understand the needs and methods to deliver the best quality of care to our wonderful seniors.
Diana Barrera joined the Home Instead Senior Care team as a CAREGiver in December, 2013. In addition to being a part-time CAREGiver, she is also our On-Call Supervisor during nights and weekends. Diana is the staff you will reach if you have an emergency or need assistance after office hours.
Diana has worked for a number of years for Marin County in their crisis support services. She knows well the challenges our seniors face as they age and struggle to remain independent. Diana has considerable compassion for the clients she has assisted at Home Instead and continuously seeks ways to make their lives a little better. Diana lives in Novato and enjoys spending time with her family.
