LEHIGH COUNTY AGING & ADULT SERVICES
EIGHTEENTH ANNUAL TRIBUTE TO UNSUNG HEROES
Each May, in honor of Older Americans Month, Lehigh County celebrates the contributions of older adults in our
community who generously give their time and talents to enhance the lives of those around them
while demonstrating healthy aging. Lehigh County will recognize these Unsung Heroes to show
appreciation for their generous contributions at an event on Wednesday, May 16, 2018.
This annual tradition celebrates an older adult whose community has been enhanced through their
active engagement, volunteerism, and service to others.
We all know who these wonderful people are
in our community. They are often the unsung heroes our communities cannot live without and are
always there to volunteer their time when needed.
To be eligible for consideration:
1. Must be at least 60 years of age.
2. Must be a Lehigh County resident.
3. The achievements, accomplishments or service must be performed
on a volunteer basis, not paid.
4. Have performed outstanding contributions or services that promoted,
enhanced and enriched the quality of life for others.
5. Must be available to attend the Unsung Hero celebration on Wednesday, May 16, 2018.
