And I want you to know how much I/we truly care. As Bev has so eloquently expressed, it’s a matter of perspective - being empathetic.
For me, it’s about respect. Because I care for you as well as our wonderful clients, I want to do the best I can to ensure everyone’s well-being. That means respecting your time, your schedules, your family’s situations, your beliefs, your dreams in life…same for our clients. I may not share the same sentiments, but it’s not about me. It’s appreciating what is important to you. It is valuing what makes you so special!! In attempting to do the same for our clients, sometimes it puts things in opposition in the workplace & sometimes the balance is difficult. No excuses. It may not be easy, but I know there is a way to respect all. So I pledge to you to do better in respecting what is special to you, and charge you with the task of when I am not upholding my promise to do better… Call me on it (literally since I don’t do text well) and teach me how I can do better at respecting you.
It is because we care for you, those who give their heart unselfishly, with greatest appreciation.
