It is still nice weather so we're still walking in the Rose Gardens, although the other Saturday, we got caught in the downpour! After we dried out, we went for dinner to The Melt in the Promenade Shoppes in Center Valley. It was my first time and it was wonderful, although it is a bit pricey!! We started with the crab imperial as an appetizer and it was a surprise when they brought it—it was a round five-inch tower of peach slices, mango & avocado chunks topped with the crab meat. Then we split the spinach pasta main course, and it was delicious. We also had the Nights in Venice cocktails, a great blend with raspberry Chambord. We got separate checks and mine, with tip, was $43.00, but it was worth it.

This past weekend we saw "War On Planet of the Apes", a strange choice but it was a matinee! It wasn't bad and it did have a happy ending! The ape costumes have improved and it did have a lovable baboon character called Maurice who rescued a little speechless girl. Woody Harrelson was the bad guy, and he lived in a weapons depot so you can guess how they eliminated him! It wasn't great but it was a classic summer movie. I just wish "Wonder Woman" was still a matinee!
