Chris Lerch - Owner and CEO

Chris Lerch - Owner and CEO
Chris Lerch, owner of Home Instead Senior Care of San Antonio, gained respect and admiration for seniors through his rich childhood experiences with his grandparents and great-grandparents.  His interest in serving seniors is largely due to the lessons he learned from his mother, the original family CAREGiver.
 
When asked about the mission of his Home Instead franchise, Chris states, "At Home Instead Senior Care we work hard to help families cope with the challenges of aging at home.  In the spirit of my mother, the 'original CAREGiver', HISC of San Antonio strives to ease the burden of aging in place so that families can focus on enjoying their cherished seniors.
 
A native of Indiana, Chris and his wife, Shelley, have now lived in Texas for many years.  They have 2 children and enjoy spending time together as a family.


Jackie Robb - General Manager

Jackie Robb - General Manager

Jackie came to Home Instead in 2011. In her 7 years she has been Director of Marketing and now is the General Manager of our franchise. Jackie has always had a love for seniors which she believes started with her being surrounded by loving great-grandparents and grandparents. Jackie is responsible for successfully directing and the coordination of all activities in the office for growth and development of the business. Jackie is interested in bringing the BEST non-medical Home Care to the Seniors and their families of San Antonio.
Jackie has a degree in Communications from the University of Missouri- St. Louis as well as being a member of the Society of Certified Senior Advisors. Jackie is presently serving as the President of Alamo Area Home Care Council and Secretary of Case Management Society of South Texas.  Jackie has founded and run her own live call in radio show Girl Talk Texas via this forum she could educate her audiences on senior topics. In her spare time, Jackie enjoys spending time with her family.

Jodi White - Director of Training

Jodi White - Director of Training

After a hospice experience with her father in 2010, Jodi was impacted by the need of seniors and their families to have support of professionals who truly care. She joined the Home Instead senior Care team as a CAREGiver in 2011 and gained invaluable firsthand experience that has continued to serve her well throughout various roles in the Home Instead Senior Care office. She currently serves as Director of Training, which involves insuring that the CAREgivers we send into the homes of our Clients are equipped with the best training available, beginning with their intitial orientation and following them throughout their CAREGiver career.

Jodi enjoys travel, reading, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Jamie Van Hoozen - Scheduling Coordinator

Jamie Van Hoozen - Scheduling Coordinator

Jamie performs a variety of duties in the coordination of scheduling service for our Clients. She is responsible for scheduling Clients and CAREGivers in order to provide the highest quality service to Clients with empasis on creating extraordinary relationships. 

Jamie started her career with Home Instead Senior Care in late 2015 as a CAREgiver. Jamie was given the opportunity to become the Inside Sales Coordinator for Home Instead Senior Care in spring of 2018. 

She firmly believes that if you love what you do, you never work a day in your life.
When Jamie is not helping the people of Bexar county she enjoys helping and spending time with her grandmother as well as the rest of her family and friends. She also has a four legged child that she loves exploring the beautiful Texas hill country with.

​Joanna is responsible for successfully directing and coordinating all activities with the care of potential and existing Clients. Joanna is also responsible for billing and payroll for our Clients and CAREGivers.

Cody Lerch - Home Care Consultant

Cody Lerch - Home Care Consultant

​Cody Lerch is a Home Care Consultant at Home Instead Senior Care San Antonio. Cody has been apart of the Home Instead San Antonio family since 1998, when his father started his own franchise. As a young man he would often spend time with his dad, visiting clients on holidays and weekends. After 18 years of watching the impact Home Instead Senior Care has made in Texas, Cody has decided to step up and take a bigger role. 

Today, Cody spends his work days expanding the Home Instead brand, meeting with families who are starting a new chapter of senior care, and gaining information on the industry around San Antonio to better inform potential clients. Cody works with area physicians, home health agencies, hospices, nurses and many other health care professionals to ensure community awareness of the services Home Instead Senior Care offers seniors.

Cathy Castillo - Home Care Consultant

Cathy Castillo - Home Care Consultant

​Cathy joined the Home Instead Senior Care team in 2017. Cathy works closely with the General Manager and Sales Team ensuring Home Instead Senior Care is well known in the San Antonio Community. Cathy works with area physicians, home health aganecies, hospices, nurses and many other healthcare professionals to ensure community awareness of the services we offer Seniors. 

She enjoys sharing what Home Instead Senior Care can do to help the seniors in our community, and seeing the impact it has on the families. Cathy also works with incoming calls/inside sales from prospective Clients looking for services

Outside of working with us, Cathy is an inspiration for amputees all over the U.S. After losing her hand in a car crash at 21 years old, she set out to share her story to help people overcome life challenges. She has spoken for Occupational Therapist at Hospitals, Hanger Clinic, Businesses, Youth Groups, and a retreat for Hall of Fame surfer Bethany Hamilton. Cathy’s passion is to make a difference in the world by serving others in our community.

Toiya Nava - Inside Sales Coordinator

Toiya Nava - Inside Sales Coordinator

As Inside Sales Coordinator, Toiya is expected to perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties. The Inside Sales Coordinator is expected to answer phones and support other staff members with clerical tasks in order to provide the highest quality service to clients. Toiya also plays a vital role in moving along the sales process with the prospective telephone inquiries. She answers new client inquiries over the phone in a knowledgeable manner and schedule care consultations

 Toiya came to work for Home Instead Senior Care in San Antonio in July of 2019 after working as a caregiver for over 10 years. She takes great pride in her work and ability to help others. She is dedicated to making the world a more compassionate and kinder place for everyone. In her spare time, she loves to take her daughter hiking, bike riding, to the movies or just staying at home playing with their recue cat.  She is a huge animal lover and advocates for their rights and lives.

Carol Schuh - Client Care Coordinator

​Carol performs a variety of duties that relate to our Client care including quality assurance visits with our existing Clients. She continuously evaluates the care plan through a series of ongoing communications and visits to ensure high quality care for our Clients and their satisfaction.

Elaine Bornemeier - Digital Marketing Manager/Recruitment

“Helping people has always been a part of me, I enjoy working and helping people, treating everyone with dignity and respect.”
As the Digital Marketing Manager Elaine manages the digital footprint for the San Antonio and Houston Offices. 

Elaine also increases awareness to prospective CAREGivers and Clients in San Antonio and Houston as she recruits in colleges in the surrounding areas and submitting ads online.

Elaine started working in the medical field as an EMT in Nebraska and taught firefighters EMT's skills and an adjunct teacher for EMT classes at Southeast Community College. Soon after, she became a Respiratory Therapist and a district manager in Texas, Colorado, Montana, Idaho and New Mexico.

Becoming a CAREgiver for Home Instead Senior Care came very natural for her. It gave Elaine a chance to help and work with seniors, when asked to come work in the office she thought what a great honor to be part of a great company and what they stand for. 
Elaine looks forward to the future and what will it bring, caring for others, making a difference and enhancing lives.
