Home Care Inc., and Magnolia Home Health LLC employ close to 600 full-time
and part-time employees. Theirs are among the top three largest of the
Home Instead Senior Care operations, which consist of over 1,100 offices in
an opportunity to work together and own their own business, Dave and Malorie
decided to combine their specific areas of expertise in the growing healthcare
field. The Hills were impressed with the professionalism and sincerity
exhibited by the Home Instead Senior Care corporate staff in Omaha,
Nebraska. Thus began what has turned out to be a truly rewarding
adventure of developing into one of the top three owner/operators of Home
Instead Senior Care's network of franchise business owners.
Buckeyes David and Malorie have had their office headquarters located in
Jacksonville Florida since 1997. They also have offices in Saint
Augustine FL., Palm Coast FL., Mason OH., Savannah GA., and Hilton Head
purchased two existing Home Instead Senior Care offices located in the suburbs
of Cincinnati Ohio in 2012 to add to their three Home Instead Senior Care
offices located in Northeast Florida. "We loved the idea of expanding our
quality-first home care business to the state where we spent over 40 years of
the opportunity to grow Home Instead remarkable services presented itself in
2019 and the Hills added the Savannah GA territory which included Hilton Head
SC and neighboring communities in Beaufort and Jasper Counties.
Doug serves as Chief Operating Officer for three Florida franchises of Home Instead Senior Care; Duval, St. Johns and Flagler Counties. He was born and raised in Jacksonville and has over a decade of
home care experience. His role is to oversee all of the day-to-day operations performed
by the office staff. These responsibilities include assigning and
directing work, planning, appraising performance, coaching employees performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Megan serves as our Chief Financial Officer for
the Florida and Ohio franchises owned by David and Malorie Hill. Megan
initially joined Home Instead Senior Care as an Administrative Assistant to
support the Executive Team and the Accounting Department with various
administrative tasks. She moved into the Accounting Specialist position and
then became Director of Finance, while continuing to take on new and more
complex tasks as her position grew and developed. Working in each position in
the Accounting Department has given her a true understanding of every step
of the billing and payroll processes. As C.F.O., Megan works closely with the
owners and the other members of the Leadership Team to keep Home Instead Senior
Care the agency and employer of choice.
Lisa Atkinson serves as Chief Marketing Officer for three Home Instead Senior Care Florida franchises. She brings over twenty-five years of experience in the healthcare industry and embodies effective communication and interpersonal skills. In addition to directing the development of new business, Lisa facilitates the formulation and implementation of new business strategies and develops relationships and partnerships throughout the Duval, Flagler and St. Johns County territories. As C.M.O., Lisa works closely with the Marketing Team, Leadership Team and business owners to seek out opportunity and fuel growth throughout the Florida market.
Leslie began her career with
Home Instead Senior Care in 2009 in Silver Springs, Maryland, starting as a CAREGiver
and then mastering a variety of positions in the business. She moved to
Jacksonville in August of 2016 after her daughter enrolled at the
University of Central Florida and Leslie knew she wanted to find another Home Instead
family. Starting out as a temporary employee and helping out in multiple
departments, she moved to a permanent position as Service Coordinator in 2017. Having worked in almost every department, an opportunity became available in our Accounting Department and Leslie assumed her new role. Leslie brings a
knowledge of the importance of teamwork in being successful.
Marla was born in Toledo, OH and relocated to Jacksonville
in 1998. She has nearly three decades of experience in the healthcare
field and office management. Marla started with Home Instead in New
Orleans, LA as a CAREGiver. After moving back to Jacksonville to
continue with the Home Instead team, she was promoted to Lead CAREGiver and part time
HR Assistant. In April of 2019 she joined the accounting team as Account
Specialist . Marla enjoys arts and
crafts, scrapbooking and is an avid Jaguars fan.
The position of Client Relations Manager completes an important link between potential clients and the marketing staff. Helen is responsible for Duval, St. Johns and Flagler Counties as well as our newest acquistions, Savannah GA and Beaufort/Hilton Head SC. She works closely with the marketing team as well as senior management to maximize our efforts with our provider network and the community. Helen is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and has almost two decades of experience in the senior care industry.
Tracey is originally from Lancaster, PA and has been a
Jacksonville resident since 1995. Her prior career experience includes
marketing and client support for a local hospital laboratory for over 17 years.
She has always enjoyed interacting with the senior population, and will bring
this passion and experience for assisting seniors to her position as a Home
Jennifer was born in Texas but moved to Middleburg, Florida at a
young age. She has spent most of her life enjoying the farm life and it is
there where she found her love for horses. She worked with Diamond D ranch as a
property manager for many years before jumping into the healthcare industry in
2018. Her most recent position was with hospice care in which she found her
love for seniors. She is excited to be able to help seniors have a good quality
of life and help families keep their loved ones in their homes, wherever that
may be. When she is not working you will find her at Horse shows with her
teenage daughter and husband. She is a 4H Leader and on the Board for her Local
Horse Club. Jennifer is super excited about position as a Home Care
Consultant and excited to share with other the great work that Home
Instead Senior Care CAREgivers give to clients and families.
Sheila is often the first face of Home Instead our clients see. The Client Care Coordinator position is a vital link among our clients, their families, and the Home Instead Staff who strive to arrange the best care possible for each and every customer. Sheila conducts quality assurance visits with our clients and CAREGivers. She can communicate any concerns with family members and spend a little extra time with clients at the beginning of services to facilitate a smooth start, as well as stop by visits, periodically, to make sure needs are being addressed.
Ashley serves as Human Resources Manager for three Florida
franchises of Home Instead Senior Care; Jacksonville, St. Augustine and
Palm Coast; One Georgia franchise of Home Instead Senior Care, Savannah; Hilton
Head, SC, and one Ohio franchise. She was born and raised in Jacksonville
and has home care experience since 2016. Her role is to oversee all of the

Tasha originally started with
Home Instead Senior Care in 2016 as the Director of HR in Tallahassee, Florida.
She has since moved to the area where she is our CAREGiver recruiter and
Her primary responsibility is to
hire compassionate caregivers and coordinate the necessary trainings that they
will need to care for our seniors.
Over the years she has also
gained experience working closely with clients as a Client Care Coordinator.
She strongly believes that this experience has been beneficial to her working
Shana began her career with Home Instead Senior Care in 2011. She started out as a companion CAREGiver, then after successfully completing
training and passing exams, she became a Home Health Aide. Another promotion
followed her to her role as "Lead Caregiver". This position entails traveling to different locations
and facilitating Virtual Dementia Tours with Home Instead Community Educators.
Now an assistant in the Home Instead Human Resources Department, she is in charge
of managing/maintaining Caregiver documentation and assisting
our clients with their long-term care insurance claims and
billing of clients’ long-term care insurance.
Raised in Louisville, KY and moved to FL when parents
were transferred with railroad (L&N) in 1979.
Worked for Wachovia Bank over 26 years and then started a new career as a private caregiver.
Michele spent three years of private duty caregiving before joining
Home Instead as a CAREGiver in 2015. She was then promoted to Lead caregiver in 2019 with
multiple hats to wear including Rapid Response to meet immediate client needs, Quality
Assurance, and office duties in Human Resources, as well as caregiving.
Michele is an animal lover/rescuer and has 2 dogs; Snuggles, Daisy, 1 cat, Clark Kent,
and 1 kitten, Dinky, who was rescued in the road and bottle fed back to health.
started her nursing career in Tallahassee as a pediatric nurse in a
hospital. When her husbands job brought
her to Jacksonville in 2009 she began working as a private duty nurse for
children. After tying school nursing for few years, she discovered visiting
nursing in home health and has been visiting clients in their home for about 8
years. Holly has a passion for home
health and believes it plays a vital role in todays health care. Holly’s role at home instead is to train
caregivers to provide compassionate care to our clients.
Melanie was born in Cleveland, Ohio into a military family. She was lucky to have grown up in Sicily and has spent the last sixteen years of her career working with teens in crisis. As a Home Instead Service Coordinator, she
is responsible for setting up client schedules, finding solutions for
our clients' concerns and supporting her fellow Service Coordinators on a daily

customer service doing call center management. She was born in South Florida
but has spent most of her life in Georgia. She frequently visits South Florida
where she still has family. Nicole is one of five children. An avid Florida
Gators football fan, she makes sure to attend as many games as possible. Her
favorite thing in the world would be her dog, Juicy! When not spending time
with Juicy and family she enjoys going to concerts and having fun her two
godchildren. Nicole also loves being a personal shopper and wardrobe consultant
and one day plans to launch this passion as a business venture.
Born in coastal southern Maine, Shelby discovered her passion for building meaningful relationships in 2010 as a teacher in child care. Uprooting to Jacksonville in 2015 has strengthened her desire to be of help to others. She began at Home Instead as a Home Health Aide and went on to obtain her CNA before taking on the role of Service Coordinator. With eight years of combined experience creating positive futures for both the young and elderly, Shelby believes positive communication and an open heart are two vital qualities of maintaining successful relationships.

Her need to care for others began as a young girl, attending to the needs of
her siblings. Skyler’s love for helping others grew to the senior community as she
cared for her grandmother. She began pursuing a career in the rewarding work of
caring for seniors in 2015. In 2017 she joined the Home Instead team as a Home
Health Aide. In 2019 she transitioned to begin working as a Service
Coordinator. As a Service Coordinator, Skyler helps weave the intricate web of
matching clients with the best caregivers for their needs.
Trudy is our Director of First Impressions and greets folks with a pleasant smile. She is the first person you will see once you walk inside our office and is happy to offer her assist with her kind and friendly personality. Trudy handles the large volume of incoming calls, with patience, retrieving messages and making certain the important calls are directed to the oppropriate office staff.
She also serves as our go to person in an emergency situation known as "Rapid Response", until we can relieve her with a CAREGiver.
Trudy wears many hats but, offers much of her support to the H.R. Team, when time is permitting.
