While content with his two
decade long career as a counselor (David) and her various business
office positions (Malorie), they decided to combine their specific areas
of expertise in the growing health care field. The Hills were
impressed with the professionalism and sincerity exhibited by the Home
Instead Senior Care corporate staff in Omaha, Nebraska.Thus began
what has turned out to be a truly rewarding adventure of developing one
of the top 5 operations of Home Instead Senior Care's network of
franchise business owners.
While native Buckeyes, David and
Malorie have had their office headquarters located in Jacksonville, FL. for nearly two decades. They also have offices in Saint Augustine, Fl. and Palm Coast, Fl.
loved the idea of expanding our quality-first home care business to the
state where we spent over 40 years of our lives". David
and Malorie Hill purchased the existing Home Instead Senior Care office
in Mason, Ohio in 2012 to add to their three Home Instead Senior Care
offices located in Northeast Florida.
Doug serves as our General
Manager. He was born and raised in Jacksonville and has over 9 years of
home care experience. His role is to oversee all of the functions performed
by the office staff. These responsibilities include assigning and
directing work, planning, appraising performance, coaching employee’s
performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Megan initially joined Home Instead to support
the Executive team and the accounting department with various administrative
tasks. She moved into the Accounting Specialist position, and then to her
current role as Director of Finance. Working various positions in the
Accounting Department has given her an understanding of every step of the
billing and payroll processes. CAREGivers, clients, and payors can call Megan
with any questions regarding their pay or accounts.
Pattie joined Home Instead Senior Care in 2015 providing support for the Accounting
department and the Executive team. She is
responsible for a variety of administrative tasks as well as general financial
transactions including recording payments, AR, AP, bank reconciliations and
various payroll functions.
Lisa works closely with Senior Management and Marketing, creating new partnerhips for Home Instead in the Jacksonville
territory. She frequently educates groups in the healthcare arena about
the services Home Instead can provide to enhance the relationship
between medical personnel and their patients.
Keith joined our team as a Home Care Consultant and plays a vital role leading Home Instead's marketing efforts. He is responsible for developing new relationships in the community as well as educating seniors and their families about the services we can provide to enhance their lives. Keith is a graduate of the University of Central Florida ( Go Golden Knights) and an avid Jaguars fan.
The position of Client Relations Manager completes an important link between potential clients and the marketing staff. Helen is responsible for Duval, St. Johns and Flagler Counties. She works closely with the marketing team as well as senior management to maximize our efforts with our provider network and the community. Helen is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and has over a decade of experience in the senior care industry.
Born and raised in Gainesville, Florida (Gator Country -
Don’t hold that against her), Laura comes with 14 years of EMS background and
management. Recently married, she moved to Jacksonville and wanted a
change of pace but to still be involved in client care. She has been with
Home Instead for over a year as a Home Care Consultant. Building solid
relationships within the senior living communities she has found a passion
educating seniors and helping them understand the different options that are
available to them, allowing them to stay safe and happy in their place of
residence. She also has a 170lb Great Dane therapy dog that she takes to
different facilities for the seniors' enjoyment.
Sheila is often the first face of Home Instead our clients see. The Client Care Coordinator position is a vital link among our clients, their families, and the Home Instead Staff who strive to arrange the best care possible for each and every customer. She conducts quality assurance visits with our clients and CAREGivers. She can communicate any concerns with family members and spend a little extra time with clients at the beginning of services to facilitate a smooth start. Sheila and Shanell are a team committed to making the Home Instead Experience truly above all the rest.
A native of Michigan, Steve moved to Jacksonville Beach in 1988 and never looked back. Steve
was a CAREGiver before moving into service coordination, then becoming a Care Coordinator. He has spent over 25
years in social work and public administration, and looks forward to applying
his experience to the field of in-home senior care.

Jessica plays an important role at Home Instead Senior Care as a Service Coordinator. She started as a CAREGiver and was soon promoted to a staffer. She is responsible for setting up clients' schedules, finding solutions for our clients' concerns and supporting the other staffers on a daily basis. Jessica is also bilingual, and is available to translate for our Spanish speaking clients.
Jennifer joined the Home Instead team as both
Service Coordinator/ Human Resource specialist; in March of 2016 she moved to
the Service Coordinator position fulltime. Fortunate to have been born and raised in Colorado, she also spent 20
years enjoying Wyoming until this cowgirl moved to Jacksonville in 2016.
Jennifer has a professional background working with adults with
disabilities as well as seniors and is very passionate about making a
difference in the lives of others.
She enjoys spending time with her family, her many rescue
animals, volunteering and enjoying the little things in life. Personal motto: “ Kindness and a smile will last a lifetime.”
Jolessa is Jacksonville, FL native. She joined Home
Instead Senior Care in December 2015 as a CAREGgiver, moving on to Service Coordinator. The mother of one daughter, Jolessa likes going to beach when she can. Her compassionate and caring qualities make her perfect for the clients we serve.
Kathy Durrant has been with Home Instead since 1999. She has served in a number of roles, and currently manages our Jacksonville office Department of Human Resources and Training.
In June 2009, Egypt began working as a companion with the
Home Instead Senior Care office located in Jacksonville, FL. She continued to
work as a companion/home helper until December 2011 when she obtained her
certification as a Home Health Aide. In 2015, she earned her B.S. in
Converged Communications with a concentration in Strategic Corporate

Kaitlin has lived in Jacksonville for almost all of her life. She's a recent graduate from Saint Johns River State College School of Nursing, and currently
completing requirements to be awarded a BSN (Bachelors of Science in Nursing). For almost five years Kaitlin has worked
with geriatric patients. She has a true passion for teaching
and helping other individuals grow and succeed.
Ashley was born and raised in Memphis, TN. She joined Home Instead in February
of 2016. Her responsibilities include supporting HR with maintaining home health records as well as managing long term care insurance and veterans' claims. Married with two children, in her spare time she enjoys being a
LulaRoe Consultant and spending time with her family.
Joy has worked for Home Instead since 2004. She started as a receptionist and later moved into CAREGiving, providing transportation to clients. She is now responsible for maintaining the correctness and accuracy of all Home Health Aide notes. This is a critical position at Home Instead, as these notes are contingent in Home Instead maintaining our home health license through the Agency for Health Care Administration.
Trudy is our Director of First Impressions. She is the first smiling face you will see once you walk inside our office. Trudy welcomes everyone into our office with her kind and friendly personality. She also handles the large volume of incoming calls with patience and a smile. Trudy can often be found at the copier, preparing documents for the entire team.
