Home Instead Senior Care Featured on Forbes’ 2017 Best Employers ListOMAHA, Neb. – May 9, 2017 – Forbes' third annual "America's Best Employers" list has named Home Instead Senior Care one of its best employers for 2017. The list was generated using anonymous feedback from employees at the nation's top employers.

Companies on the Best Employers' list range across 25 different industry sectors – from government services to retail to healthcare. While the 2017 list featured a variety of healthcare companies, Home Instead is the only provider of home care services for seniors.

Your local Home Instead Senior Care office is looking for caring and compassionate professionals to become a part of our team and join our mission to enhance the lives of aging adults and their families throughout our community.  Home Instead Senior Care provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain as independently as possible in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.
 
Primary Responsibilities:                                                                             
 

  • Reflect the core values of our Company
  • Contribute to a positive living environment to enhance a client’s quality of life
  • Document daily activities in the required format and report any significant changes in a client’s needs or living conditions to the franchise office
  • Maintain regular communication with supervisor and office staff, at least every 30 days
  • Provide Companionship & Home Helper services which could include:
    • Companionship and conversation
    • Providing stabilization and assistance with walking
    • Cueing, prompting, guiding and directing as needed
    • Preparing meals and cleaning up meal-related items
    • Providing medication reminders and appointment reminders
    • Performing light housekeeping tasks (dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, etc.)
    • Washing and ironing laundry
    • Running errands using your vehicle or a client’s vehicle
    • Accompanying clients to appointments using your vehicle or a client’s vehicle
    • Assisting with all other IADLs (paying bills, preparing grocery lists, answering the telephone, organizing, etc.)
  • Provide Personal Care services which could include:
    • Assisting with bathing
    • Assisting with grooming
    • Assisting with toileting and incontinence issues
    • Assist with other ADLs (oral care, dressing/undressing, eating, etc.)
  • Provide Specialized services which could include:
    • Advanced Alzheimer’s/Dementia Care

  • Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel and reach
  • Complete a criminal background check, DMV check, pre-employment drug screen, 3 professional and 3 personal reference checks
  • Possess a valid NC driver’s license
  • Possess valid auto insurance with required minimums
  • Ability to withstand exposure to dust, mold, mildew and cleaning solutions
  • Ability to treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect

Your local Home Instead Senior Care office is looking for caring and compassionate individuals to become a part of our overnight teams and join our mission to enhance the lives of aging adults and their families throughout our community.  Home Instead Senior Care provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain as independently as possible in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion. Many of our clients have around-the-clock care or may need extra help at night. Our Overnight CAREGivers may be asked to assist with bedtime and morning routines, mobility, safety, supervision, respite for a family member, etc. 
 
Primary Responsibilities:
