I recently contracted with Home Instead to care for my dad after an extended hospital stay. I can't say enough good things about this agency. Lucy is so kind and compassionate. Her staff is amazing and are always available for any questions or concerns. The aides are knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. I can now go home relaxed and confident that dad is getting the best care. So happy I found Home Instead!

We owe special thanks to Latasha, who very professionally and courteously managed the complicated schedule of caregivers over the years; and, of course, to the nurses who stopped by to check up on mother at regular intervals. Most of all, however, we thank Georgina for her devoted service to our mother. She stuck with her through mother's bouts of ill temper and patience-testing stubbornness--and proved far better at managing her than either of her daughters. We’ve had great experiences with Home Instead and the caregivers who care for my parents. Lisa H., Marie, Beverly, Sweba, Cheyenne, Sandra, Rabi, Jacqueline, Hellen, Ada, Rispa and all of the others are truly caring and very attentive. The office staff is very responsive and goes over and beyond to assist their clients. Home Instead has become family and we highly recommend them if you are looking for caregivers for yourself or loved ones.
Lisa Hailey has been a regular Home Instead caregiver for more than 4 years while my wife’s dementia and osteoporosis was still manageable at home. Lisa is personable, smart and is quick to sense the needs of the person receiving care. Lisa was with us through the COVID 19 lockdown of 2020 and did not miss a visit. She kept my wife busy doing 300- and 500-piece puzzles, playing cards and reading magazines. She is also one of the few aides that my wife was comfortable with for showering and personal care. Lisa prepared dinner while I took time away from home for theatre, movies, meetings, shopping, etc. She is excellent at garnishing a frozen pizza into something that looks and tastes like it just came from one of the best Italian restaurants in Somerset. Her dinner menus cover more than pizza, but that was a very frequent request! Lisa phones and asks after my wife periodically. We appreciated how well she cared for my wife.
My aide, Beverly Lassiter was the best! She was attentive, knew what I needed before I even knew, and above all else was a pleasant companion for 4 hours a day. Beverly went above and beyond. She was a self starter...never waited to be asked. She knew my routines and the way I liked things done and she just did it with a smile. She also knew when I wanted quiet time. A perfect AIDE!!
Sandra my mom's caregiver is very energetic, she shows initiative, and helps me grately.
We have aides for family relief two days per week. They are professional, caring and courteous. The home office backup is excellent.
The agency provides home health aides twice per week. They provide additional aide coverage if the primary caregiver is called aeay overnight. This happens a few times per year and the agency has always responded adequately. The aides have been very punctual. The agency always telephones if the aide is running late. This is rare, and the lateness is generally less than 15 minutes.
I have been using Home Instead since May for my husband. They have been always attentive to our needs. Beverly was a great fit for him.
The aides have been warm and caring. The staff have accommodated our changing needs as the dementia has progressed. They have made a hard situation easier to manage.

When navigating the field of home health care it can be a daunting experience. Two years ago my then 88 year old mother fell and fortunately nothing was broken but managed to dislodge her artificial hip. She said at her age it was "ridiculousl" to consider a hip revision surgery. She wanted to just return home and continue to live independently. However, I noticed the fall seem to accelerate her dementia. I decided to get companion care for her to help with the laundry, help prepare any meals, be sure she was keeping her social appointments, play games and just about anything to help her day pass with joy. We were blessed to have HomeInstead recommend 2 companions who by the way are still with the team today. In the course of the next year my fell a few times when she was alone at night. It was at that point the dentist worsened and I realized she needed 24/7 care. Again HoemInstead came through with an amazing team. With a few tweets here and there we now have an amazing team working together to make my mom's dream of continuing BYO live in her own apartment at her adult care faculty in Stonebridge at Montgomery. As her dementia has worsened more care is needed. The nursing staff does an excellent job communicating my mom's ever changing needs to the team. As anyone knows with a loved one suffering from this horrible disease, they can be very testy. The love and patience the care givers give goes above and beyond. As my mom's needs changes and it was apparent she had to have CHHA care. The original two companions took the necessary classes and. vaccinations just so they could remain part of the team. That's true dedication. That's the type of employee Janet and Dana, the owners of the HomeInstead Somerset, strive to have in all their employees.. When the occasional times someone is sick or when they take their vacation, the scheduling staff does the unbelievable job of always finding the right person to fill in. I highly recommend HomeInstead Somerset for all your care needs. I was blessed to have first just accidentally come across them in 2010 when my dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. They came through finding the right care for his needs. So when my mom's needs arise I knew exactly where to turn to.
The caregivers from Home Instead Senior Care have been fine so far. They provide home health aides, and we have no problems with them. The agency is very organized, very professional, and very responsive.
