Justin has been great to work with. Thanks to his efforts, my Mom and step-dad are getting in-home care they desperately need. The staff have been so wonderful! They got my step-father an oxygen tank and are getting my mother set up on their services as well. My siblings are so grateful; we were very worried about them being on their own. At least now we know trained professionals will be checking in on them, helping where needed and letting us know how our parents are doing.

It is always great to see Justin Anderson when he stops by the agency to say hello and give us some of the Home Instead updates. Kim provides outstanding home health care services at our house in lieu of us having to move our loved one to an assisted living environment. What a relief to know that “Home Instead” is a better and affordable option for the entire family.
Tan is absolutely wonderful. She takes care of my grandma Mon- Fri in the mornings, helping her when she struggles, with laundry, and keeping the house cleaned since my grandma can't do these things on her own much anymore. She is kind and patient with her as my grandmother's memory is slipping and she can be quite down on life some days. She is a blessing to our family.
At the end of February this year, my Dad fell and hit his head. This resulted in a head injury that left him paralyzed on the right side, unable to speak, and unable to swallow safely. After weeks in the ICU and more weeks in a rehabilitation hospital with some progress made, we made the decision to bring him home. The journey has not been an easy one. When my Dad arrived home he was totally dependent for everything, had to be transferred with a hoyer, transported with a wheelchair, he was confused and weak. The outlook was daunting.
But in came CarePros from Home Instead. There are no words and not enough time to adequately describe how amazing his team is. Our family had not ever been thru something like this, but based on their experience the Care Pros offered advise on set up, advise on supplies and equipment and helped us get organized. They made transporting him to appointments run smooth and seem less intimidating. Exercising his limbs when he couldn’t or wouldn’t. Getting him out of bed. Getting his nights and days flipped back right. Engaging in conversation and stimulating his mind even when he was confused. Sitting with him on the porch or wheeling him up and down the long drive way. His Care Pros didn’t come and sit and didn’t let him either. They didn’t see an 85 year old that was at the end but an 85 year old that had more life to live. They anticipated his needs and kept things moving. Encouraging, challenging and listening.
Protecting his feeding tube and Foley catheter, working thru multiple bouts of pneumonia, multiple ER trips and multiple hospital stays they helped my Dad and us thru it all. Today my Dad is walking with a walker, talking and eating regular food. He is on his way to getting back to more usual things of life. The Care Pros are still helping with this journey. Getting him to exercise (with encouragement), engaging with friends and family, starting to do more of what he used to do. Making sure he is eating and fixing him yummy food. I can honestly say he would not be where he is today without the skill, care, encouragement and determination of his Care Pros. We are forever grateful.
