The Home Instead staff are amazing and the care they provided was absolutely first class. They take the time to understand your particular situation necessary to provide care in the manner you need. I don't know how I would have been able to manage mt life over the past year and a half without the skilled and committed support of Carries, my home helper. She has gone beyond the call of duty in providing housekeeping and other services over this time. Accompanying me to the grocery store to pull items off the shelves for my shopping list and putting them into the battery-powered shopping cart, doing my laundry, cleaning my floors, helping me empty unneeded items from my cupboards and closets and helping deliver them to Goodwill Store. Even coaching me on a complicated computer system I had trouble learning because its not user-friendly. All this without being reminded of the chores to be done, one she knew what was needed. And going out of her way to help prepare for days when she knows she will be away of vacation. Also, thanks to her own college studies in psychology, a good listener when I want to just air personal concerns without any expectation of advice from a receptive ear.
My mother was a client of Home Instead. We used them every day. There was one girl in particular who was with my mother every day from 8:00 to 3:00. The service was great. I had no issues with the service. It was great, but this one girl in particular, I thought I was gonna lose my spot as my mother's daughter because this girl was so good. Her name is Lisa, and she cared for my mother as if she was her own mother. She was very compassionate, knowledgeable, and efficient. She took charge of many things. She didn't take charge of her medication, but she assisted. She did everything. When hospice came in, she coordinated all my mother's needs with hospice. She did everything. She cooked, she cleaned, she did laundry, she went to the grocery store, and she took her to doctor's appointments. She did it all cheerfully. You never saw her have a bad day.
We've been using Home Instead for my wife for a little over two years now, four days a week, four-hour shifts on each one. It's excellent service. Angie does three out of the four days. She goes out of her way, she gets here, and she does anything you ask her. She never says no. She has a very pleasant disposition. We like her like a family. We treat her like family. She's on time. If she's going to be late, she calls you. If she gets stuck in traffic, she calls you and gives you a heads up. She's excellent.
My husband has been using Home Instead for one year now. The service is perfect. It's five stars. They're here five times a week. They help with grooming, companionship, meals, and exercise. They go walking. The name of our caregiver is Roberta. She's really flexible based on what his needs and moods are. I like her flexibility, her caring, and really her knowledge base. She's always trying to see how we can improve his situation. That's what I really appreciate about Roberta.
Vera from Home Instead has been caring for Mom in my home for over 2 years. She is very upbeat, kind and compassionate to Mom. Vera wants to care for the elderly in their home, and does a great job! Home Instead has been a real plus for us keeping up with everything - showering, laundry, some cooking and cleaning, and companionship for Mom.

We have had Home Instead for the care of our elderly, blind mother for three years. Home Instead found the perfect match of a caregiver for our our Mom in 2018. We began with limited hours and days per week and as time progressed the primary caregiver developed a bond with our mother. We had other Home Instead caregivers to "fill in " the schedule through weekends and unexpected circumstances. All the personnel were well qualified and deeply committed to the best care for our mother. Now, as Mom moves into assisted living, we continue to have close contact with her primary caregiver. We are grateful for the entire Home Instead experience and we would highly recommend their in home care.
Home Instead Wilmington started caring for my mother, in 2016, in her home then in the Long Term Care facility to which she moved. It was an excellent experience. The care givers are very dependable, professional, caring, compassionate and punctual. They made it to her in bad weather and traffic issues. The office staff and “on call” staff were very prompt to get a substitute if a care giver was sick or needed off. We went through COVID with very strict requirements, there was never an issue. The care givers were there and very protective of my elderly mother. Everyone at Home Instead Wilmington is very professional and I highly recommend them for a loved one’s care. We had 6 years with them. Not sure how we would have done it without their care and compassion. Thank you Home Instead Wilmington.
I started out with Office Mngr, Michael, and caretaker, Rodney, who worked so well with my father. Then they both left the company and the Lord sent Crystal and Catalina to us...ANGLES FROM HEAVEN!!! We have great communication (open/honest, caring) and we work together well!! My father is a handful!! Catalina is a cute, petite angel who I worried about in the beginning. I didn't think she was going to be able to handle the physical and mental stress of a dementia patient. THANK GOD FOR HER PATIENT SWEET DEMEANOR!!! Baby girl is very capable, competent, honest and professional to be so young!!! The service, professionalism and communication are impeccable!!! Because of their outstanding service, I signed my mother up with Home Instead in NC. Both locations are truly valued and appreciated. I did not have to put my parents in a nursing home in the middle of a pandemic. Both are able to remain in the comfort and safety of their homes where our family is able to access/care for them as needed. I could not have made it through this difficult time without them. The service is worth every dime we pay!!!! If Rodney is ever willing to return, I will find a way to pay for him for his service. HE WAS AMAZING!!!

In April 2021 Home Instead started to take care of my mom in the comfort of her own home. It was the best decision that we made as the entire organization, staff and caregivers are very professional. They respond quickly when a schedule issue or any other scenario occurs which is comforting to know that they have excellent communication skills and integrity. I need to give ‘Krystal Taylor’ much thanks for making me feel like I have a partner in caring for my mom, she is the best! Again, I would highly recommend Home Instead without any hesitation.

Home Instead Senior Care of Wilmington DE provides wonderful care for seniors. Our experience with the caregivers have been awesome. They are well trained for safety, and all the caregivers we have had for my dad have a helpful, caring respectful attitude. The administration are always available and quick to respond with emails and phone calls. This is a top notch care facility. I highly recommend Home Instead and am so grateful for them!!
After dealing with many caregivers for my mother over the last year, the switch to Home Instead has been delightful. Home Instead is by far the most professional and reliable that we have used. Their caregivers follow the company protocols and also follow the guidelines as requested by us. Tracy and all the office personnel are very proactive and friendly. We are dealing with 2-3 shifts per day, 7 days a week, which is no easy task to handle, but they have a nice group of caregivers and someone is always willing to jump in and help fill a shift. I would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead to anyone so they can skip over all the headaches that I dealt with while looking for the right agency.
I am beyond happy with the care my Mom gets. My mom not only has help, she now has another friend. The staff is very caring and flexible as your needs change. I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience with them and would HIGHLY recommend them! We are blessed to have such awesome people in our lives!

Home Instead Senior Care is currently providing personal care services for my 91 yr. old mother in my sister's home. We have been with them for 2.5 yrs. Her caregiver, Lawan is dependable and on time 3 days a week. She really understands what works for my mom and what does not. I have always found this agency to be responsive to our needs and those of my mother.
I’ve been receiving home health services for 25yrs – and I coordinated home health services for my mother as well – so I’ve had quite a lot of experience. During the 12 years I’ve been using Home Instead, they have supplied me with some of the most exceptionally capable, compassionate, and delightful caregivers I have ever met. I would highly recommend Home Instead to anyone looking for high quality home health services. And I would remind everyone looking for home health services from any agency anywhere that regular communication with the care coordinator and the caregiver is the key to getting the services you want and need. The better the coordinator and caregiver know you (and/or the patient) the better they will understand your needs.
Caregivers that I have had experience with all have positive attitudes and take the time to do a thorough and professional job. My father-in-law has dementia and is not an easy client to deal with. The caregivers provide help in personal hygiene and engagement. We are trying to keep my father-in-law out of a nursing home as long as possible and Home Instead is contributing greatly to this effort.
Love the care they give my father. So respectful and caring. This is the best choice I could have made for having someone help take care of my father.

Home Instead provides respite companion care for my housemate, 84, who has Alzheimer's. They are courteous, prompt, and caring people. Had used a different service and was not pleased....much happier with Home Instead.
