June 2023 Standing Ovation Award Winner: Ali

This month, we recognize Care Pros who received praise from a client:

"Very responsive to all requests; everyone with whom I have worked shows genuine compassion and willingness to help. I never felt as if I was on my own, and Home Instead helped us solve any issue we had with either care coordination or insurance requirements. I am very happy working with them. May 2023 Standing Ovation Award Winner: Ann Marie

Ann Marie stepped into a challenging client situation with grace and humility. She is an outstanding communicator, listens for clues to client's needs and provides consistent documentation to the office and family. The family has expressed a high level of satisfaction with all the care Ann Marie provides to their loved one.

March 2023 Standing Ovation Award Winner: Autumn

This upcoming month, recognize Care Pros who are Relationship Builders. These Care Pros build meaningful relationships with the people they work with. They can be counted on by clients, families and office staff. They understand that care starts with connection, and connection is cultivated through thoughtful relationships. And through those thoughtful relationships, trust is built. 

Autumn exemplifies all of the above! And that’s why it was so easy when given the parameters of what we were searching for this month in a Care Pro nominee, to quickly respond “ oh, yes, that is definitely Autumn!

February 2023 Standing Ovation Award Winner: Kelly

Kelly cares for two clients in the same facility back-to-back. These two clients are best of friends and love how Kelly cares about them. Kelly is assisting one in a house sale and uses a special van to transport both of these lovelies to lunch and other activities. Although Kelly is close to both, she maintains great company boundaries and her role in their care. She is a trusted source for the family, us and most especially her clients.

“A true friend is one soul in two bodies”….it is safe to say that these two beautiful women invented the “BFF”. They live in different apartments in the same lovely Assisted Living in Santa Rosa and share as much of each day together as they can. Kelly, our Care Pro, cares for them both with such loving attention.  She works in tandem with the Facility to manage their meals and their activities and even took them both to a local matinee.  We are so blessed to have such a skilled attentive Care Pro.  Thankyou KELLY!!!  

January 2023 Standing Ovation Award Winner: Tippee

Kind and Sweet Caregiver, Tippee finds words to sooth each client she has the privilege of serving. Everyone who has her as a Care Pro tells us how kind and sweet she is as well as extremely skilled. Watching her interact with bedridden clients as well as mobile clients, is like watching a very beautiful dance of care and attention. She has to be the kindest Care Pro we have ever met.

December 2022 Care Professional of the Month: Sylvia

More often than not being a Care Pro and taking care of a family, in Sylvia's case a couple, goes well beyond the 'hands-on'. Sylvia was a huge emotional support for our dear client "Barbara" as her husband passed. We have come to rely on Silvia for her dependability, attentiveness, documentation for the benefit of everyone, insight, foresight and above all willingness to accept new Clients and meet those challenges. She is the most genuine soul and we love her humility and beautiful smile most of all.

November 2022 Care Professional of the Month: Leslie

The decision to choose Leslie as Care Pro of the month for November was unanimous. With our unconditional support she navigated a very difficult situation that allowed her to take a step back, recover and come out even stronger. She has accepted new clients with grace and the experience gave her the motivation to step-up her "game", enroll for additional education for certifications, help us with extended facility care for a family, and take on overnights. We are so grateful that she continues to choose us, and we look forward to the difference that she makes for our clients with her care.

November 2022 Rookie of the Month: Rachel

Rachel came to us after several years of navigating the elders in her family through dementia and relocating her life to make sure they were safe, loved and cared for. Rachel’s very first client is caring for Mrs. C. She is the matriarch of a very large ranch family with lots of siblings concerned about their mom facing on-set dementia. She has not left her client side, offering her redirection, and using all her experience encouraging Mrs. C to share all her old recipes and “teach her how to cook Italian". She has earned the trust of five sons and daughters and when Mr. C fell ill she immediately mastered the responsibilities of couples care. She knows the difference between an opinion and an observation and her documentation is allowing the family to improve their care and communication. We are so grateful Rachel chose us….Home Instead/Sonoma!

October 2022 Rookie of the Month: Ben

Ben is very professional; he always reaches out to Staffing and Care Management when he has a question. He is with a family that tells us that they love his care. He gives/offers both their parents comfort, consistency and has a kind manner. He brings a very professional skill set with compassion to his job.

September 2022 Standing Ovation Award Winner: Mary L.

Our September honoree of the STANDING OVATION award goes to MARY L!!!! Mary loves her scrubs and having been in in-home care for years, she has a wardrobe full of them. She asked for a patch so she can represent Home Instead, so we created one!! Mary wanted to find a way to upcycle her wardrobe of scrubs so in addition to her new logo Home Instead scrubs, we have found more than one way to use them!! Thanks Mary for such a bright idea!!

August 2022 CarePro of the Month: Jessica

Jessica is so reliable and consistent. If she is “on time she considers herself late”. She is that Care Professional!!!! Her prior years of experience give her a great understanding of the clients she serves. She is compassionate, professional, and accurately documents the client activities for the families. She will say yes to that emergency pop-up shift because she understands the need and commitment. Match that with her positive influence around her clients and we are thrilled to honor Jessica this month.

July 2022 Rookie of the Month: Ann

What a remarkable Care Professional!.

Ann was chosen as a Rookie of the Month for July 2022. Not new to caregiving but new to us at Home Instead, she has picked up the challenge of getting her two clients out and engaged.

“Mary” hadn’t been to a concert in years but thoroughly enjoyed her trip to the mariachi concert on the grass at the Green Music Center and then down to see a movie because both she and Ann had read the book “Where the Crawdads Sing”!!!

She then spent her shift with “Eoin” having him teach her how to do the Scottish dances that he treasures and hasn’t danced since his wife passed.

When asked how she was able to offer this life changing care to her Clients, Ann replied, "I really like to have FUN, I feel that they should too!” It is worth noting that Ann's hands-on care is exceptional too!

Thank you Ann, we are so grateful you chose us!!!

June 2022 Standing Ovation Award Winner: Elizabeth!

Standing Ovation AWARD!!!!

When our Ambassador Care Pro Elizabeth finishes a shift with the best skills and documentation, we have a perfect match for the client and their family. Elizabeth makes every shift complete with exemplary details that immediately reports to our virtual “family room”. The details are accessible online by the client’s family so that they will know about the day's activities, personal care tasks, mental health, transportation, meal prep or doctor visits. Every detail is accounted for, which allows the family to feel connected though at a distance. Elizabeth is awarded the Home Instead corporate Standing Ovation recognition for documentation for June of 2022! Congratulations Elizabeth--we are so proud to have you on our team!

Above & Beyond Award for Quarter 2 of 2022 for Excellence in Caregiving Awarded to: Kelly

Kelly has been awarded our “Above and Beyond” recognition as the winner for the second quarter. We could not be prouder of all she does to protect, and care for our clients while maneuvering difficult circumstances within the care facility where our long time Client resides. The family is so grateful. She is a true Care Professional, and we are proud of the care they are receiving from her. May 2022 CarePro of the Month: Asia

Asia is always kind and patient with our clients. She is always willing to help with open shifts. She is passionate about assisting with our client’s needs.  She also is open to learning more about caring for others. Congratulations to Asia!

April 2022 CarePro of the Month: Yamille

Each time we interact with Yamille she is so very flexible for the changes with her Petaluma client. She never complains when the client’s family makes last minute changes.  She is professional through and through.  Never overextends her scope of focus aligning herself with the care plan as written and directed and will always make herself available for open shifts with other Home Instead clients requesting a CarePro with her skillset.

March 2022 CAREPro of the Month: Jack

Jack is a great representative of our company. He regularly supports our HR Director at Job Fairs; he is a huge hit at our social events like the Rohnert Park Senior Center "SENIOR PROM"!!  He has extended his skills with the clients he serves and was gracious to continue working the family of a Hospice client.  He is rock steady, continuously updating his training, and always has his documentation in on time. 

March 2022 Rookie of the Month: Ann

Ann worked with our dear client Helen with such determination, compassion, and grace. Helen suffers from severe sundowners and Ann redirected and managed her symptoms without hesitation or any complaint. She is really everything her references said she is, we are looking forward to a long relationship of with her as a premier CAREPro!

February 2022 CAREGiver of the Month: Tish

Tish for how she handles the difficult clients.  She serves a couple who are aggressive towards each other, and she handles this with grace and grit.

Monika for her soft compassionate handling of difficult clients.  She has been a go to person for call outs and hard to staff clients.

*Two honorable Rookie mentions go to Caregivers Rachel and Leslie this month as well for jumping in immediate to serve clients. Their skills were evident immediately upon hire and reflected with how they care for our clients.

January 2022 CAREGiver of the Month: Mariela C.

Mariela averted a very serious situation with the client involving potential fraud.  She protected the client and as a result the family added hours ensuring more support  allowing the client to remain  living  in her own home in a safe manner.

December 2021 CAREGiver of the Month: Lindsay

Lindsay is a seasoned caregiver who gives a lot of attention to her clients. She gets to know them well and just recently engaged with a client to help him thru the loss of his beloved wife. She created an origami mobile with his wife’s original work. Lindsay is great at documenting her activities, stays within the ‘scope of care’, communicates regularly and is an ultimate professional. Lindsay is a treasure to Home Instead and all the clients she serves!

December 2021 Rookie of the Month: Jeanine

Jeanine is an experienced CAREgiver who stepped right in to assist with a challenging client. Her skills and ability to communicate with the office have proven to be invaluable when continuing care with this client.  Jeanine has a sense of what is needed without going outside our ‘scope of care’.  She is compassionate, knowledgeable and follows specific guidelines about documenting.  Way to go Jeanine!

October 2021 CAREGiver of the Month: Johanna

Johanna is consistently asking for more clients to serve. She receives great reviews for her amazing care and always steps in when needed. She is a great communicator, reliable and understands the importance of a great work/life balance. Johanna is a gem!

October 2021 Rookie of the Month: Tippi

Although Tippi is new to Home Instead she knocked it out of the park with her first and very difficult hospice client. She proved to be a great communicator, always on time, and showed great compassion for the clients family during a very stressful situation. What a great way to begin a career with Home Instead!

August 2021 CAREGiver of the Month: Souha

Souha, who has worked so hard to do the ‘right’ thing always for the client and for Home Instead. She has really had great success with some challenging clients and is always ready to ‘serve’. She is deeply caring, has tremendous consistent follow thru, and has been a “go to caregiver” for those hard to fill shifts due clients with arduous behaviors.

August 2021 Rookie of the Month: Mikaela

Mikaela B. is professional in her dealing with clients. Although she is new to caregiving she is the ultimate example of what we strive for in a caregiver. She seeks out resolutions, addresses concerns and asks questions to improve her care with our clients. Mikaela is a great addition to the Home Instead care team.

July 2021 CAREGiver of the Month: Autumn

Autumn N. eagerly takes on shifts that are hard to fill, has the clients best interest in mind when she serves them with an open heart. Clients easily fall in love with her!

Diane has proven in her short time to be a productive and efficient caregiver. Her attention to our clients needs show how she shares her heart, takes the lead, builds trust with her clients and our staff.

Above & Beyond Award June 2021 for Excellence in Caregiving Awarded to: Stephanie

Stephanie is our winner due to all the care and support she gave to our client named  Jordan.   Jordan suffers from dementia that is progressing rapidly and he often has great anxiety and requires a lot of redirection and compassionate patient care. Stephanie,  his devoted  Home Instead CAREGiver  stepped out and took on an extraordinary  difficult situation and handled Jordan with grace.  She has consistently shown professionalism and compassion.  She took the lead, shared her heart and built trust with Jordan and with us. She is a treasure and gift to her client and to Home Instead.

May 2021 CAREGiver of the Month: Wilma

Wilma has shown significant skill in caring for a very difficult and medically fragile client.  Wilma has carried out the Home Instead mission to care for this client providing an exceptional home care experience. Working with several medical partners and  a 24 hour  care team she has taken the lead to ensure our staff is performing within our scope of practice.  She is an excellent communicator and takes upmost care in following directions with regard to the ongoing support to our client.  Thanks Wilma for your Taking the lead, Sharing your Heart and Building Trust with everyone you are in contact with.

April 2021 CAREGiver of the Month: Kerry Ann

Kerry Ann is soft spoken & kind and has made great strides working with our client Molly. Molly’s family has taken to Kerry Ann & has reported the positive changes in Molly’s care since she started. They ask her to attend family parties with them because she “knows how to calm Molly” and has been successful in showering her and getting Molly “all dolled up” which they appreciate. Before Kerry, Molly was refusing to shower and layered her clothing. The connection & understanding that Kerry has made with her is noticed. She truly enjoys Molly which says it all.

April 2021 Rookie of the Month: Tiffany

Tiffany is a wonderful addition to the team. She is a great communicator, she is responsive and dependable. She’s an awesome reporter, clocks in & out without issue. She’s adaptable & has had 5 clients since she’s started with us. The client & family feed back is always refreshing to hear. She uses good judgement, takes initiative, she’s kind hearted, gets stuff done and has very sweet demeanor.

Elizabeth is an exceptional Caregiver Ambassador and an integral part of our team. Not only is she able to assimilate to her environment, she is also able to deliver care that fits her clients' individual needs. She is patient, compassionate, attentive, dependable, and reliable. There is no question that Elizabeth goes above and beyond to provide extraordinary care.

Elizabeth uses good judgement. She is always very professional & has the ability to win the hearts of the families and clients she serves. They never want to let her go! Tish V. has really been an asset for our Client who resides in a facility. She has been instrumental in advocating for clothing and necessary toiletries for our client’s well-being. December 2020 CAREGiver of the Month: Virginia G.

Virginia G.– Virginia is our December Employee of the Month! Virginia is always on time, participates in all training opportunities and accepts last minutes shifts. She has encouraged her client to speak up and ask for what she needs which is huge for this particular client. October 2020 Rookie of the Month: Kerry Ann

Kerry Ann was selected as Rookie of the Month for October because right from the first shift we knew she was special. She has made connections with difficult clients immediately upon first meeting. Kerry Ann says she ‘listens from the heart’ and that has proven to be her secret weapon. She truly is a heart-whisperer and we are overjoyed we get to share her with our aging clients.

She continues to serve one of our long term clients with fresh perspective every day and is an inspiration to that care team. June 2020 Rookie of the Month: Steve K.

As a new CAREGiver to Home Instead, Steve communicates well by phone and messaging through our system, attends CAREGiver meetings, is good with technology, well-oriented & trained and works on one of our most skilled cases. He took an assignment where client's behaviors did not fit his personal values however he was able to put the client's needs first.

He has always been willing to help and has a positive attitude. Our Home Care Consultant asked him to come with on a care consult to meet the family of potential clients . The family was very impressed with his kind manor and answers to their questions. I was so very happy to have him represent HISC. The clients adult son really would love to have Steve be their future CAREGiver for his parents.

June 2020 CAREGiver of the Month: Elizabeth K.

We are thrilled to recognize Elizabeth K. who is an amazing, wonderful , compassionate and highly skilled CAREGiver Superhero! Elizabeth can take on any challenge. She has rave reviews with all our clients. Her “can do” spirit shows in how she relates to our client’s evolving needs. Recently she has accepted our CAREGiver Ambassador position expanding her scope to serve all our Home Instead clients within Sonoma county.

Claudia C. has shined with her patience, tenacity and caring for one of our most difficult and challenging clients. She truly cares and seeks to find solutions to difficult situations. March 2020 CAREGiver of the Month: Maria R.

We are thrilled to recognize an amazing, wonderful CAREGiver hero, Maria R. as caregiver of the month for March 2020.

She is here with her client, who absolutely adores her! Her client said the worst part of her day is “when Maria goes home.”

Maria R. comes to us with a Certified Nursing Assistant background. She has worked with HISC since 2015 and demonstrates her work ethic along with her patience and calming energy during difficult situations. She enjoys connecting with her clients as well as helping her clients remain independently in their own homes.

We are so blessed to have Maria as one of our amazing CAREGivers on our team! Way to Go Maria! Thank you Maria for bringing such joy into the lives of those you serve with your skills and genuine heart.

February 2020 CAREGiver of the Month: Autumn H.

Congratulations to Autumn H. for being February 2020 CareGiver of the month! Autumn has been with Home Instead since 2017. She connects with our clients , building trust and they enjoy her care. When she has concerns about the clientele- Autumn is the first one to pick up the phone and report care changes or concerns to the office support staff. She has even visited at our request the client when hospitalized to reassure her client we are here for her when she needs us again! Congratulations to Autumn!​

Congratulations to Jackie A. for being January CAREGiver of the MONTH. Jackie is a very skilled CAREGiver with our company since 2019 and connects easily and quickly. She jumps in as needed even at the last minute. Currently, she works with one of our clients who needs 24 hour care and she is one of the lead CAREGivers on that team. Congratulations Jackie!

November 2019 CAREGiver of the Month: Elizabeth B.

Caregiver of the month for November 2019 is… Elizabeth B. Elizabeth has a tender heart for our client Alice. Her attentive care has given Alice such joy. She exhibits a spirit of collaboration and takes the initiative in her care with all her clients. Elizabeth is consistently asked to return because our clients love her, and so do we. October 2019 CAREGiver of the Month: Jamie M.

Caregiver of the month for October 2019 is…Jamie M. Jamie took initiative during the fires of 2019 to safely house our vulnerable client. The situation became critical and Jamie Took the Lead by caring for the client in her home along with several caregivers assigned to the client. This was an act of kindness and helped Build Trust with our client and the family. We are so proud of Jamie for her compassion and leadership in caring for our client. Way to go Jamie!

September 2019 CAREGiver of the Month: Jennifer

“Professional, reliable, flexible, punctual, and a great team player” is how our schedulers describe Jennifer! Add that she always answers her phone and returns calls, never creates drama, and that she accepts any client or challenge; that is why Jennifer is CAREGIver of the Month! June 2019 CAREGiver of the Month: Erica B.

Erica cared for our client as she was passing. Erica changed the end of our client’s life and her family will never forget her for that. Our client’s son told us how thankful he was for their entire experience with Home Instead. He said the family talked about it after mom passed and they all agreed that they felt as though they were surrounded by angels the whole time they were with us. Erica made the difference between good service and exceptional service by building trust and sharing her heart. Well done and Thank you, Erica!!​

It has been a pleasure to watch Wilyza learn and grow as a CAREGiver. As a student on the Nursing track, Wilyza is successfully completing her educational goals while providing exceptional care to our clients. April 2019 CAREGiver of the Month: Anne H.

Anne takes enriching the lives of clients very personally. She takes it upon herself to think of activities that will engage our clients and help them to thrive. An ipad to play a game on, jigsaw puzzles, and knitting supplies are all creative tools used to occupy our clients’ attention. Anne keeps herself engaged by gobbling up any training available and taking extra work as her busy schedule allows. Congratulations and Thank you, Anne!

Our clients have been singing her praises! Kandis is punctual, reliable, and responsive. A wonderful combination of attributes for a CAREGiver! She has been willing to try new clients, including some out of her preferred “comfort zone” and has been incredibly professional in her reporting on our clients. Well done and thank you!! February 2019 CAREGiver of the Month: Esther

Esther is always willing to pick up last second shifts to help us and our clients, she’s gotten up out of bed to go work a night shift when we needed her to. When she asks for time off she gives plenty of notice, so we can cover her clients. She has the skills to go anywhere and she is willing to go to any client. She has a positive attitude which is very good support for her clients who suffer from Depression or are on hospice care. Way to go Esther!

January 2019 CAREGiver of the Month: Adriana

Adriana has been very consistent in caring for our client since December 2017. When she needed time off, Adriana requested it well in advance allowing our schedulers time to find replacements for her. The client’s family appreciates that Adriana cares for their mother as family, not like it’s just a job. No fuss, no muss, just exceptional care! Way to go, Adriana!​

December 2018 CAREGiver of the Month: Dan

​Dan D. is a very busy guy and he cares a great deal about our seniors! Dan is great at reporting and following up about his clients. October 2018 CAREGiver of the Month: Wilma

Wilma is a great reporter – she speaks up when something concerns her, or her client’s health changes. She is always on time and willing to go above and beyond for her clients – like going in early/staying late when needed, offering to pick up necessary equipment for her clients, and training new caregivers to the case to help them succeed and keep her clients happy. Always very kind, and you can see how much she truly cares for her clients wellbeing and happiness. Wilma continually reflects the company’s values by taking the Lead, sharing her heart and building trust with all she is in contact with. Congratulations Wilma!

September 2018 CAREGiver of the Month: Valerie

Our clients love Valerie. She has been with Home Instead for almost 3 years. Valerie goes to work every day. She is always on time. The daughter of client said that “Valerie seems to care for mom, and she doesn’t treat her shifts as just a job.” She comes to trainings, she asks for time off well in advance, which makes our Schedulers love her, too.

August 2018 CAREGiver of the Month: Lynda

Lynda has been a long term caregiver who exhibits our values of building trust, sharing her heart and taking the lead. She is consistent, nurturing, positive and grateful, reports in a timely manner any changes. When she is introduced to new clients she interacts directly with them upon arrival. Will H. – Will is a long-term CAREGiver of Home Instead who can be sent to any client. He is hands on and is especially adept with difficult cases. January 2018 CAREGiver of the Month: Robert

Robert has consistently exceeded our expectations as a CAREGiver. He serves our clients with care, compassion and preserves each client’s dignity with love. He can work with any client’s needs. During the recent fires, Robert came to the office offering to help with any client’s needs, had total availability and accepted all our emergency tasks. February 2014 CAREGiver of the Month: Jessica

Jessica is always creating experiences for each client she cares for. In conversation with them she finds out their hobbies, likes etc & then creates activities to do with them that they enjoy. She making sure her client’s isn’t just counting the years; she’s making sure they are LIVING them! Way to go Jessica we are so proud to call you one of OUR Home Instead CAREGivers!

We love how she has mastered the art of taking a “selfie” with her clients & sending to us so we can see them in action!

January 2014 CAREGiver of the Month: Donna E.

Donna is a lively 87 year old and has worked for our Home Instead office in Sonoma County since Jan.2, 2006 and prior to that she worked with the HISC office in Roseville, CA. When asked said about Donna, CARE manager Theresa said “ I could call her at 4am for an emergency and she’d not only answer the phone, she’d go out & care for the client in need. She LIVES Home Instead by responding like a loving family member rather than a hired hand”. Donna lives a very young at heart life (she went sky-diving for her 85th birthday!) and live Home Instead every day.​
