2011 CAREGiver of the Year

It is with great pleasure that I award Angela W. as Home Instead Senior Care’s CAREGiver of the year for 2011. Angela has been with Home Instead Senior Care for a little over 3 years and is known for her excellent care, wonderful smile and passion for life. She cares for our clients and family members with respect and dignity and radiates excellence to whomever she comes in contact with.

As owner, and closing in on my 4th year of providing employment opportunities to good people in Multnomah County, something I have learned over that time is that caregiving is more than a job. Good caregivers treat their work more like a higher calling, something they are passionate about, because they know serving seniors is what they are “supposed” to be doing at this time in their lives. Good caregivers come from all walks of life, but what they often have in common is they have shifted their focus from success to significance.

Angela has a passion for people and making their lives better. She is always courteous and helpful to others. She has the wonderful skill to adapt her care to a senior’s specific needs and cultural needs. She is a positive team member and always exhibit’s a “win-win” philosophy.

Angela’s involvement on the CAREGiver committee, community and world are a testimony to her sense of compassion. She shows great concern for the welfare of others and is actively involved with finding solutions to difficult situations. She provides excellent care to our seniors, often going the extra step to make sure our clients and or family members are comfortable and secure. Her life is an example of Home Instead Senior Care’s mission, “To us, Its Personal”

Senior Care is her mission, compassion and improving the quality of life for our seniors is her passion. The energy and enthusiasm with which she goes about her life are remarkable. She emulates warmth, humility and compassion as she serves our seniors. I am so very pleased and extremely honored to have Angela Winston, CAREGiver of the year, as part of our Home Instead Senior Care family.

Sincerely

Preston & Aimee Roth

2010 CAREGiver of the Year

Laura P has been with Home Instead Senior Care for almost 4 years with almost 8000 hours served. During that time Laura has shown her endless passion for seniors and a sincere desire to truly make the lives of our seniors so much better.

Laura has the uncanny ability to face challenges and emergencies with grace and leadership, comforting the staff and family members a like. Laura is the type of person in which you can place in ANY environment for any reason, and she will stabilize it and improve it without a hitch. What an amazing quality and confidence to have. Because of her professionalism, leadership and confidence she was also asked by a Physical Therapist to create a care video for one of our clients where she demonstrated different techniques to ensure the safety and comfort of this client, what an honor. We hear from our clients and family members constantly that they thoroughly enjoy her fellowship and sincere advocacy for their well being.

I am so very pleased and honored to award Laura P with our highest award, and that is, as our CAREGiver of the year. A great woman of character, compassion and dedication.

Warmest Regards

 2009 CAREGiver of the Year

Charonne M has been with Home Instead for 3.5 years and  the one thing that I am constantly amazed by is Charonnes sincere and unwavering desire to show people how much she cares and appreciates them. She has a drive to show us all what it means to truly care about someone or something. Her selfless approach shines through with every client she commits to and at every visit to our office. She consistently evangelizes our goals and commitments to our seniors. We have a test in our office when hiring and evaluating any new potential CAREGiver and that is “Would I trust this person to take care of my mother or grandmother” A statement that is so personal and telling, that it truly shows how each and every CAREGiver is hired with a special touch and focus. So with that I am so very pleased and honored to award Charonne M with our nomination for CAREGiver of the year. A great woman of character, compassion and dedication and I, would trust her with anyone in my family.

Warmest Regards
