Introduction Specialists

Ensuring you are set up for success extends beyond your training. That's why an Introduction Specialist will accompany you to your first shift with a new client. You'll receive an overview of the client's home, health/safety issues, meeting the client and much more. Moreover, your Introduction Specialist helps ensure a smooth introduction and a seamless transition.

In-Services

As a Care Pro, it's important to stay on top of the latest teachings and techniques. For this reason, we hold regular, paid in-services throughout the year, focusing on topics such as personal care training and Alzheimer's/dementia training. This represents our commitment to enhancing your knowledge, skills, and experience through continuous learning.

On-Site Training

Together with our Nursing team and Quality Assurance team, we provide on-the-job training as unique client situations, such as health and safety concerns, are identified. These hands-on learning opportunities will be scheduled with you, one on one, in a client's home or office training room. This helps you provide the highest quality care for each client you serve.

Specialized Training

As circumstances warrant, we may occasionally offer tailored, highly specialized trainings on a variety of circumstantial situations, such as new products/services, equipment/technology usage, new protocols, health crises, etc. This may also include topics such as Parkinson's Care, Palliative Care, Nurse Directed Care, and more.

Online Learning

Through our official online learning management system, you’ll access a unique learning experience tailored to your schedule and lifestyle, skills-development needs, and expanding interests. That means you have greater flexibility to take the trainings you want, when you want to take them.

Monthly Solutions Webinars

Attend free webinars and earn continuing education (CE) credits, which are offered in cooperation with the American Society on Aging. Credits are available for 60 days following the live event. Gerontologist & Caregiver Advocate Lakelyn Hogan, MA, MBA leads each virtual instruction. As topics rotate each month, guest speakers may also be present. For more information and to complete the required pre-registration process, visit CaregiverStress.com/ProfessionalEducation.

Expanding Opportunities

Whether you are passionate about caregiving or are interested in expanding your horizons, we believe your career path should be both rewarding and fulfilling. Home Instead provides a variety of career options that impact the lives of families across our communities.

If you're ready to explore alternative roles or increased responsibilities, we'll collaborate with you to understand your goals and customize a plan to ensure you're properly trained and developed for the next level. And you'll receive development feedback and continuous learning opportunities every step of the way.

As you experience our various trainings — from classroom to online — you're encouraged to give feedback to help us identify training opportunities that are important to you.
