Kale and his wife, Janie, are residents of Brunswick, Ga. Kale graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of West Georgia. Early in his career, he worked as a youth pastor at Chestnut Mountain Church in Flowery Branch, Ga before he switched career paths to begin working in manufacturing. After 25 years of managing and leading teams in manufacturing, Kale left his job as a manager at Georgia Pacific in Brunswick, Ga to pursue a career path that he felt could make more of a difference in the lives of others. He began teaching along side his wife, Janie, at Camden County High School in Kingsland, Georgia, where Janie has been a Special Education teacher for 26 years. For two years, Kale taught Occupational Safety to high school students, and continued to seek other opportunities that he felt could meet the greatest needs of the community.
During this time, Kale and his wife faced personal experiences with family members that brought to light the challenges and struggles that families go through when caring for aging loved ones. In 2019, Kale and Janie were approached by a friend (who is a HISC franchise owner in Florida) about the opportunity to start a Home Instead Senior Care in Brunswick to serve families in Southeast Georgia. Kale and Janie were impressed with the exemplary reputation, the passionate people, and the core values of Home Instead Senior Care. They prayerfully considered the decision to open a franchise of their own. Kale and Janie decided that Home Instead Senior Care was the perfect way to serve and help other families. Also, because of their own experiences, it felt personal.
In 2020, Kale and Janie completed their Certification in Gerontology through the University of Georgia and opened the doors of a brand-new Home Instead Senior Care in Historic Downtown Brunswick in August 2020. Being able to support and offer in-home care for families and their loved ones during these unprecedented times is an honor, and a career path that Kale and Janie view as more of a mission than a business.
