National Centenarians Day is 9/22/23

Two of our clients are 100+ years old!  Both are Navy veterans, born in July.  We provide Home Care through our relationship with the Veterans’ Administration.

Mr. L. was 18 years old when he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served in WWII and the Korean War.  After his years in the Navy, he earned a liberal arts Bachelor’s Degree from Muhlenberg College and Bachelor of Laws from Temple University.  He was admitted to the Bar Association in 1950, practiced in Delaware County for 70 plus years, and served as Bar Association President. He is the proud dad of two daughters and a son. He loves world travel and reads avidly to be sure to learn something new every day.

Mr. H. was a chemical engineer who met his future wife, Esther at Drexel University.  He served in the U.S. Navy for two years and married Esther while home on leave.  They lived “happily ever after” for 76 years.  Their children are a daughter in the San Francisco Bay, and a son in greater London.  He worked in an oil refinery, sang in his church choir and performed as an extra in Opera.  He enjoys puzzles and Wordle with his Home Instead Care Pro who makes him a home cooked meal.  He never misses watching a Philadelphia Phillies game, wearing his Phillies cap.
