Rob was introduced to Home Instead when a family member needed home care services. He and his wife met with staff members and were immediately impressed with the company and the mission to provide distinctive care with a compassionate touch. Since that time, his role has expanded to include investment partner with Amy as well as business development, support, and management.

Tina Prather, Marketing/Community Representative

Early in 2018 we welcomed Tina to the Home Instead. In her previous role at the Alzheimer's Association, Tina saw families who were struggling to do it all themselves. In her current role with Home Instead, Tina works with the community to build awareness about home care services and how we can help.

Tina has been active with the local Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce, Illinois Women in Leadership, and senior care groups in Springfield. Tina rarely meets a stranger and loves getting to know new people.

Tina grew up in Nokomis, IL, about an hour south east of Springfield and graduated from MacMurray College in Jacksonville. She enjoys the small-town atmosphere and currently lives in Petersburg with her husband, Andrew, their son, James, and their lovable dog, Canon.

When she's not at work, you can find Tina enjoying time outdoors and with friends and family.

Darla Lambert, Client Care Coordinator

Darla Lambert, Recruitment Manager

Darla was born and raised on her family's century farm in Missouri. She was blessed to spend time with her grandparents and loved the weekend sleepovers where she was quite a competitor in dominos with her grandparents and their friends. Darla is a graduate of Drury College. She worked in the television industry for 22 years before she realized she would rather make a difference in the life of one senior at a time instead of communicating to the masses.

Darla joined our Home Instead team as a part-time caregiver in October, 2017. She was initially impressed by the great reputation of Home Instead and is now proud to be part of a team that specializes in providing one-to-one care with compassion. In 2019 Darla accepted the opportunity to join our office team as the Office Assistant. Since then, she has also served as a Care Coordinator for our clients. Darla now works in our Human Resources department and recruits and hires our CAREGivers.

When Darla isn't busy finding and interviewing the best CAREGivers in town, she can be found boating, fishing, reading or flea marketing.

Wendy Koke, Client Care Manager

Wendy Koke, Client Care Manager

Wendy discovered her passion for caregiving early while providing care for her mother who had many health issues. She later became a full-time caregiver to her grandmother for 5 ½ years while she battled Alzheimer's. Wendy joined our Home Instead team in January 2018 as a part-time CAREGiver.

Wendy understands the importance of keeping loved ones safe at home. In addition to her caregiving experience, Wendy comes with a background of more than 20 years in sales & management. She recently accepted the Home Care Consultant position and is looking forward to working with families to develop personalized care plans for their loved one.

She is married to Kevin and is the proud mom & step mom to 5 children. She enjoys spending time with family, going "picking" at flea markets & antique shops, cooking, gardening & evening snuggles with her "fur kids".

Sammy Roth, Client Care Coordinator

Sammy Roth, Client Care Coordinator

Sammy joined Home Instead as a part-time CAREGiver in March 2016. She accepted the Lead CAREGiver position in early 2018, and then moved into her current Client Care role in December of 2019. Using her knowledge from these roles, Sammy is able to help families determine how our CAREGivers can help their loved one.

Sammy grew up in Springfield and earned a BS degree in Genetics from Iowa State University. After graduation in 2013 Sammy realized she wanted a more personal contact with people than a laboratory setting would allow and chose to continue her education. She earned a Master's degree in Public Health from Loma Linda University in California in 2015. Following graduation Sammy returned to the Springfield area to be closer to her family and soon found her way to Home Instead.

Sammy enjoys attending music festivals, musicals, theater & dance performances with her friends. She also loves to try new recipes for her family and playing with Westies, Smidge and Lil' Bit who live with her parents and brother.

Sammy finds everyday working for Home Instead to be incredibly rewarding! "It's honestly the best feeling to provide care to those who have cared for so many throughout their very full lives. Being able to listen to their stories and adventures makes it all worth it and I come to work feeling excited for what the day is going to bring."

Matt Browning, Office Assistant

Matt started as a Home Instead CAREGiver on March 6th, 2018 and moved into the Office Assistant role in January 2020. He attributes his fondness for working with seniors to his grandparents with whom he had a strong bond and who were married for 78 years. When his grandmother eventually needed to be placed in a facility, his grandfather would visit her every day for several hours. He enjoys the connections he has established with many of the clients and is grateful for the perspective about life’s priorities and what it means to have lived a meaningful life. When I’m not working at Home Instead, I’m most likely doing something with my brother or buried in a book. I have a fondness for the water and aspire to someday own a sailboat.
