Clarksville May 2021 Client & CAREGiver Spotlight - Carl S. & Dustin B.
Meet Clarksville’s Client and Professional CAREGiver Spotlight for May, Carl and his caregiver, Dustin. Mr. Carl has worn a lot of different hats throughout his lifetime. From attending school to become a chef to working in demolition, tearing down old prisons and office buildings in Missouri, Mr. Carl has done it all. He even has some of his own artwork hanging up in his bedroom.
Dustin has only been with Home Instead for three weeks and has already made quite an impression on Mr. Carl. They love to watch car shows and cop shows together. Some of their favorites are “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago PD”. When they are not home catching up on their favorite shows, you may find the pair at McDonald’s eating a McMuffin. Mr. Carl also has five small dogs at home to keep them company.
When asked about Dustin, Mr. Carl says, “He’s an awesome caregiver”. Dustin’s supervisor agrees, saying, “Dustin is kind and compassionate when Carl is not feeling well, and helps make him feel calm and at ease when he is experiencing a lot of pain.” We are sure proud of the bond Dustin and Mr. Carl have developed over a short time. We hope Mr. Carl and Dustin get to spend many more months together living “Home Instead”!
