Clarksville June 2021 Client & CAREGiver Spotlight - Melanie J. & Anamisang C.

Some people are afraid of the fire, some people are the fire. Meet Melanie and Ana, the Clarksville Client and Professional CAREGiver Spotlight for June. This fighting duo puts a new meaning to 'be the flame, not the moth'.  Melanie, 59, has been our client since January and Ana, 36, has worked with us for two years.  You can find this fearless team every day in Planet Fitness/Clarksville working out and working hard.   Melanie, who is a quadriplegic says, 'if you can't get out of it, get into it'.  She believes life is a grinding stone. She says, “It depends on what you're made of on what the outcome will be”.  It will either grind you to powder or polish you like a stone.

Melanie says her assistant, Ana, has a contagious smile and displays grace and compassion towards her.  She is empathetic and sympathetic to Melanie's goals and encourages her to S.T.A.N.D., a coined word, which means Stand Tall And Never Doubt.  Melanie's phrase is, 'in the game of life there are winners, losers, and quitters'.  They say you can choose to be bitter or be better, and Melanie has decided to be better.  She believes in the power of prayer, being persistent, and to press on.  Ana's sincere kind nature and warm welcoming ways makes make Melanie’s recovery seem easy.  Her eagerness to make Melanie happy is why Melanie feels Home Instead's unmatched care giving capabilities produces good employees doing good things for our clients.

We are so proud of this pair and how they “Share Their Hearts”. We wish Melanie and Ana many years together!
