Dawn spends 40 hours a week assisting Mrs. Newell with her daily activities. Dawn is a great help to her around the house, and with ensuring that she has eaten delicious and nutritional meals each day. Mrs. Newell grew up in in Hopkinsville and has lived on the same block in town her entire life. She spent her married live as a housewife, and she and her husband were married for 30 years. Family is very important to Mrs. Newell. Mrs. Newell’s son, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren mean the world to her. Mrs. Newell also loves her church, and she is a very active member. Mrs. Newell loves that Dawn is able to assist her on a day in and day out every week. Dawn and Mrs. Newell enjoy talking about family and sharing family photos. Mrs. Newell says, “At my age, I am blessed to have someone who listens and reminisces with me.” We think Dawn is blessed just as much by spending time with Mrs. Newell as well. We are happy to see the bond the two are building together each week while staying safe at “Home Instead.”
