Care Professional of the Month

When asked what lead her to Home Instead she says "My Heart”. She loves and enjoys helping others and hearing their stories.  In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family. She is a mother of 3, has 10 grandkids and 5 great grandkids.  We can't say "Thank You" enough for sharing your heart and living Home Instead.

Tamara started with Home Instead in July of 2021, after her kids are now all in school. She prides herself on being a wife to her wonderful husband and a mom of three kids. She says she married early and enjoys taking care of others, so after children started school she thought this would be great being able to care for seniors. She says getting to hear their stories is like   getting to open a time capsule. When she does have down time she enjoys a good book.  Thank you for the wonderful care you provide to your clients and living Home Instead. Looking forward to many more years together providing care to the seniors of Texoma.

Sherlene came to Home Instead in December 2017 after retiring from Sherman Development Center and worked with MHMR. She has a heart of gold and an outgoing personality to match. We appreciate her willingness to help out and fill in for emergency shifts . We are so blessed to have her on our Team of Esteemed CAREGivers! Looking forward to many more years!

Terry came to Home Instead in October of 2020 with years of experience from working in hospitals, facilities and being an EMT.  Terry is always willing to go above and beyond for her clients and the seniors of Texoma. She has picked up numerous emergency shift and always has a smile on her face. Her clients all enjoy having her and look forward to their time together.

In her spare time she enjoys reading, crocheting, embroidering and considers herself to be a good cook.

We are blessed and thankful for her and look forward to many more years!

Eva White started her career with Home Instead in November 2012. Eva spent 37 years working for Johnson and Johnson; but after the merger, the Sherman location closed. Eva found herself working for Tilson Homes for 5 years as a receptionist. Eva then decided to retire. However, she found that she did not enjoy the retirement life and knew she wanted to help others. In November 2012, she joined the Home Instead family. 10 years later, Eva is still rocking her role as a CAREGiver. Eva’s hobbies would be decorating her church and keeping busy. Her favorite part of being a CAREGiver is getting to take care of the elderly and make their lives better. Her favorite memory would be the staff. She loves how easy Home Instead is to work for. “They make it easy and have great flexibility.” I asked Eva what she does when she runs into a situation that may be stressful or hard; Eva’s response was that she has a Bible app on her phone that gives her 2 scriptures a day. When she has a bad day, she pulls it up and reads them. Advice Eva would give to her fellow CAREGivers  both current and ones to come is, "you need patience and to love people in order to succeed in this job.” Eva has been nominated for our CAREGiver of the Month for February 2022. Eva has dedication, motivation and empathy when caring for her clients. Always placing them first, Eva has proven to be an amazing CAREGiver that really goes above and beyond for the clients she serves.
