Frankfort May 2021 Client & CAREGiver Spotlight - William D. & Albert D.

Meet Frankfort’s Client & Professional CAREGiver Spotlight for May, William and his caregiver, Albert.  Mr. William was an engineer for IBM in Lexington for 40 years, designing equipment.  He got his Engineering Doctorate from Carnegie Mellon University, and Albert says he is still “sharp as a tack”.  Mr. William has one daughter, two grandchildren and four great grandchildren in Texas, so it is important to him to have someone here in Kentucky to help him out.

Before joining Home Instead in 2010, Albert worked in an auto factory.  He is a people person at heart and decided he needed something more personal.  After helping his friend with multiple sclerosis, he knew this was his knack.  He then got his CNA license from Georgetown Training Center and began work for Home Instead.

William and Albert have been a team for two years now.  They run errands together and can often be found shopping at Sam’s Club.  They also like to take walks around the neighborhood and sit on the front porch, watching the cars go by.  Sometimes Albert will cook for Mr. William, but he often likes to eat Stouffer’s entrees for dinner.  Mr. William says, “Albert is dependable.  We get everything done that we need to each day.”  We are proud of the bond between Mr. William and Albert and hope they get to remain “Home Instead” for many years to come!
