Frankfort April 2021 Professional CAREGiver of the Month - Fonte L.
Meet April’s Professional Caregiver of the Month for Frankfort, Fonte L.! Fonte has been with Home Instead since 2019 and is an Ambassador who is able to provide care in 21 counties. He’s originally from Detroit but came to Frankfort to help his mother during the COVID-19 pandemic. He spends part of his time in the office conducting caregiver interviews and the rest of the time in the field caring for clients. Before coming to join our team, Fonte had done some home health care but then spent 6 years as a supervisor at a security company. He says he missed the health care field and the connections he made with clients, and that is what brought him to Home Instead.
When spending time with his clients, he likes to tell them stories and cook hamburgers for them. He says he tends to get attached to his clients. He has such a big heart and handles all clients professionally. He is dedicated and faithful to his job. Fonte’s supervisor says, “Fonte is always smiling”. Fonte used to sing in the choir at church and sometimes sings for his clients. He must be quite the songbird since he has had clients ask him to move in with them!
In his spare time, Fonte likes to spend time with his 17-year-old little brother and his mother. They like to go out to eat and go to the movies. They particularly love Mexican food and watching Tyler Perry movies. We feel truly blessed to have Fonte as part of our team. We know he brings joy to his clients and Shares His Heart with those around him!
