Cole, LNHA, Owner

Cole has grown up in the senior care industry. He began his career as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator where he spent 7+ years in operations, building a foundational knowledge of the senior living industry before pivoting into business development. Cole is proud to be a 4th generation provider in senior care and to continue this legacy of serving with his brother Jonathan. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife Amber and two boys Hutchinson(2) and Jackson(1).

Jonathan, LNHA, Managing Partner

Jonathan has devoted his career to Senior Care in the Pacific Northwest. He is a licensed Nursing Home Administrator and has served at various facilities from Seattle, WA to Portland, OR and immediately prior to purchasing Home Instead he was the Director of Operations at Bend Transitional Care. Jonathan has a heart for service and enjoys the opportunity to keep our communities loved ones Home Instead.

Jonathan is Married with two children and enjoys skiing, and golf in his spare time.

Chris, General Manager

Chris has dedicated her career to working with seniors for over 30 years. She has worked in skilled nursing and community-based care settings. Over the years, Chris has worked in a variety of roles, such as Caregiver, Human Resource Program Management and Executive Director.

Chris is a Portland native and attended Portland State University. She loves to spend time with her 3 daughters and her granddaughter, as well as her dog, Casper. Chris was inspired by her mother, a nurse for over 40 years, that taught her the importance of serving those in need.

Chris is honored to be part of the Home Instead 606 team and will continue to live out her passion for serving others.

Jeremiah Barth, LGBC, CMS - Senior Director of Operations & Compliance

Jeremiah, BBHR, CMS, Chief Compliance Officer and Controller

Jeremiah has a background in retail & restaurant management and has been CNA certified. He came to work for Home Instead in September 2016. Jeremiah loves to golf and play cribbage. He enjoys supporting seniors in our community anyway he can.

Rabia, Director of Client Care

Rabia is originally from the Chicago area. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal/Social Justice from Lewis University in Illinois. She has 6 years of case management experience working with seniors, managed care clients, and people with disabilities. She is passionate about working with seniors and advocating for them in the community. In her free time, Rabia enjoys cooking (especially different Indian cuisines), hanging out with her Senior pup “Boomer” (a Cairn Terrier), and spending time on the Coast.
Lauren Culwell Client Care Manager

Lauren, Client Care Manager

Born and raised in Texas, Lauren holds a BA in Marketing from the University of North Texas. She moved to Portland shortly after graduating and has since made her home in the Pacific Northwest. Lauren fell in love with helping seniors after working as a receptionist in a long-term care facility. She has worked in leadership roles and has dedicated the last 14 years to this passion. Lauren enjoys telling jokes, hearing stories, making people smile, and can always find the sweetness amidst bitter times. Community is important to Lauren, and she has a natural gift for bringing people together and she carries this energy with her to Home Instead as a Client Care Manager. She has a comprehensive knowledge of care and is a resource for clients and families. Lauren is on the board for Senior Provider Information Network (SPIN), an organization dedicated to providing quality continuing education and networking opportunities to senior healthcare professionals. Lauren is a problem solver, a mover, and a shaker.

Mary, RN Medication Services Director

As a Registered Nurse, Mary feels privileged to care for fragile members of our community. With over 9 years of experience in the in-home care industry, we are excited to have her as a member of the team. Mary embodies the values of Home Instead where she encourages growth in others. She strives to provide an engaging training environment for our care professionals. Mary has extensive knowledge in healthcare, medication management and client care. She takes a hands-on approach and appreciates collaborative efforts. Mary loves being a nurse and she loves her family very much. Mary has a daughter and granddaughter that she enjoys spending time with. She also enjoys cooking and sewing.

Debbie Nunez - CAREGiver HR Admin Support/Reception

Debbie, Care Professional HR Generalist

Debbie was born and raised in California but has resided in Oregon since 1991. Both her sister and parents moved here as well so she is happy to have family close by. She was privileged to join Home Instead in 2019 and is excited to be serving our seniors! In her spare time, she enjoys trips to the coast, time with family, traveling, crafting, and decorating. She and husband, Ken, raised 3 daughters. They now enjoy the blessing of grandchildren! She and Ken have a sweet little special needs dog, Daisy.

Pennie, Trainer/CAREGiver Engagement and Support Lead

Pennie is originally from California and has relocated to Oregon five years ago. She is married with two sons and a granddaughter with a love for working with Seniors. Over ten years of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant and CAREGiver, she considers it a privilege to continue to work with such a caring and dedicated staff serving Seniors in our community.

Deena is a native Oregonian. She has 6 children. Deena has been in senior care for over 20 years. She has worked in retirement communities and been a caregiver & Medication Aid. She  has been recruiting for the last 4. She truly understands the needs of our Caregivers and Clients. In her free time, she spends most her time with her children and she love family hiking and everything outdoors

Sophie, Business and Community Development Manager

Sophie began her healthcare career in Emergency Medicine in Aurora, OR – this eventually led her to the Senior Care Industry where she began as a Home Care Coordinator assisting Nurse Case Managers for a local In Home Care Agency in Beaverton, OR.  For the past several years, Sophie has served our Senior population and their families by assisting them in navigating Senior Living and Long-Term Care Community settings, as the Director of Marketing and Community Relations.  She has held community leadership positions and served on various boards such as the Cedar Mill Business Association, Meals on Wheels People, Memories in the Making, Beaverton Committee on Aging, Metropolitan Senior Network, as well as volunteering with the Beaverton Rotary.

Brandy, Staffing Department Manager/On-Call Manager

Born and raised in California, Brandy moved to Oregon in 2017. She has two wonderful sons, both have been diagnosed with Autism. Brandy graduated from MTI College in Sacramento, California in 2015 as a Medical Assistant and worked for 2 years in a private practice psychiatrist office after graduation. She started working with Home Instead as a caregiver in 2017, working mostly with clients who had Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. Both of her grandmothers had dementia as well, so it was fulfilling for her to work with clients who also have the same diagnosis. She has always had a special place in her heart for mental health as well. She worked her way into the office working as a scheduling coordinator and is now one of the Scheduling Department Managers. In her spare time she loves to indulge in true crime stories and knitting.

She was born and raised in Oregon.  She has been married for 26 yrs and has 2 amazing adult children and 3 beautiful grandchildren. She enjoys helping seniors. She has worked in healthcare for over 20 yrs.

In her off time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with my family.

Julie, Invoice Specialist

Julie has a B.S. in Aging Services as well as a B.S. in Community Health Education from Portland State University. She came to Home Instead as a CAREGiver in December 2012 and has served as our Office Coordinator, Client Care Coordinator, and Interim Recruiter Coordinator. She is now our Operations and Invoice Supervisor. With a true love for helping others, Julie is proud to be a part of the Home Instead family serving seniors.

Karen Shanks - Operations Associate

Karen, Operations Associate

Karen serves as our Operations Associate, juggling a wide range of administrative and support related tasks for our entire team.  Karen started with Home Instead in 2009 and has work experience in various roles including marketing, client care and office management.  She loves making a difference in the lives of others and being a part of the Home Instead team.  Karen loves design, hiking and biking, traveling, and spending time with family, and friends.

Dianne Jeurgens - Office Support & Reception

Dianne, Office Support & Reception

Dianne has been with Home Instead for over 9 years. She started with us as a full-time CAREGiver. She is the office coordinator for the Be A Santa to a Senior program (BASTAS). Personally, Dianne has one son and grandson, an identical twin sister in Vancouver and a brother in Boise. In her spare time, she loves to do lots of arts and crafts, including baking and her own version of "Flea Market Flip" items!

Nohemi, Rapid Response CAREGiver

Nohemi is a mother to 3. She is a Proud grama of lucky #7.  She has 2 dogs, Moco and Stormy, Stormy is  more like a hurricane.  In her free time, she loves photography, art, and cooking. Sewing, craft and scrapbooking. She loves helping others and working in the church, helping out in missionary trips in 3rd world countries, and healthcare. She is always helping others with a true heart of caring.

Joni Copley - Staffing Manager

Joni, Staffing Manager

Joni has worked with Home Instead since June 2011. She started her career as a CAREGiver, moving to On – Call supervisor, then staffing lead/On Call Manager. She now is the Staffing Manager / Branch Manager to the McMinnville location. She misses her clients but also enjoys her work with the office team. Joni and her husband Randy, they have 3 children, Josh, Jessica, and Jacob and now 2 Grandchildren Karlee, and Jaxon.
Amanda Killinger, Care Manager

Amanda, Care Manager

Amanda is originally from Germany before moving to the US. Amanda grew up in the military and has a huge heart for veterans. Amanda has over 20 years of experience with seniors, people with disabilities, mental health, and hospice. In her free time, she enjoys camping, hiking, cooking, and spending time with her family.
