Debra Nichols, Franchise Owner

In 2005, Debbie opened the Northern Bristol County office of Home Instead.  With aging parents of her own, Debbie knew that “home” is where seniors would want to remain and saw an opportunity to bring home care to Attleboro and the surrounding communities. 

Debbie is the primary caregiver for her 93-year old Dad.  She understands the worry that families have when their loved ones need help.  She also knows that many seniors are highly independent as her Dad was, but found out that he really enjoyed the companionship and going on outings! 

Whether it’s starting out with a small amount of service a couple days a week or around the clock service, our office is here to meet the demands of the busy and growing home care industry.

Spencer Nichols, Director of Finance

Spencer Nichols began working as the General Manager at Home Instead Senior Care in June 2017 and transitioned into the role of Director of Finance in March 2020. Spencer is the daughter of Franchise Owner, Debra Nichols. Spencer has her Master’s in Special Education from Bridgewater State University. Previously Spencer worked as a Program Director of a Camp for adolescents with special needs and as a Program Coordinator in Adult Day Habilitation programs. Spencer also provides in home care to multiple families and children with developmental and intellectual disabilities. She currently lives in Raynham with her son, Easton.

Janice Dantuono- General Manager

Janice D'Antuono, General Manager

Jan serves as the General Manager, focused on an array of administrative, organizational, and marketing related tasks.    With a 35-year background in marketing and management, Jan decided to put her skills to work helping Seniors and their families discover a way to age in place in the homes and around the people they love.  In her free time, Jan also enjoys spending time with her daughter, home and furniture renovation and has recently found a passion for vegetable and flower gardening.     

Kristen Steele - Client Care Manager

Kristen Steele, Client Care Manager

Kristen joined Home Instead in June 2018 as Client Care Manager.  She is responsible for directing and coordinating all activities associated with the care of potential and existing clients.  She also performs Quality Assurance visits with our clients.  Kristen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Rhode Island College and her Associate of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from New England Institute of Technology.  She has years of experience working with seniors in their homes as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant where she helped older adults overcome physical challenges and remain as independent as possible. 

Mary Pat Koepfler, Client Care Coordinator

Mary Pat Koepfler, Client Care Coordinator

Mary Pat is our Client Care Coordinator.  Starting in 2013 as a caregiver, Mary Pat has a lot of experience working with seniors. Prior to coming to Home Instead, she worked as a Professional Medical Assistant in a doctor’s office.  Mary Pat introduces caregivers to their new clients.  She also does frequent Quality Assurance visits with our clients to make sure their needs are met. Mary Pat enjoys meeting new clients and helping them achieve their goals.

Vanessa Hazard, Human Resource Manager

Vanessa began working as Human Resource Manager with Home Instead in February 2021.  Prior to working at Home Instead, Vanessa was a CNA then worked her way to Human Resources Director for a long-term healthcare facility.  When Vanessa is not working she looks forward to spending quality time with her family and friends.  She resides in Rhode Island with her family and her Pug, Lola.

Robin Silver, Staffing Manager

Robin started with Home Instead as a CAREGiver in 2012 as a CAREGiver. Now she is working in our office coordinating client and CAREGiver schedules. She brings great caregiving knowledge to this position and she is able to relate to our current CAREGivers. She has 3 sons and 4 grandchildren. Pictures of her grandchildren can be found all around her office!

Alicia Ouellette, Staffing Coordinator

Alicia Ouellette, Staffing Coordinator

Alicia joined Home Instead in February 2020 as a CAREGiver and in August 2020 she transitioned into the Staffing Coordinator position.  She loves working with clients and their families. Alicia has a passion for working with Senior.  She enjoys learning their life stories, their hobbies, and creating a bond with them.

Prior to being a CAREGiver, Alicia was a homemaker with four children. Alicia started a foundation, The Ariella Marie Memorial Foundation, in memory of her two year old daughter who unexpectedly passed away from Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood or SUDC.  After many fundraisers, the foundation raised enough money to build a playground in memory of her name for other children in her hometown and continues to raise awareness of SUDC. Phyllis Sink, CAREGiver Trainer

Phyllis joined the Home Instead team as a CAREGiver in August 2013. Phyllis brings her knowledge and first-hand experience with clients into the classroom to teach our new and current CAREGivers. She has had many roles in her career working with the senior population. She was a Program Director and Senior Consultant responsible for implementing programming to meet State and Federal guidelines for Alzheimer’s and Dementia Special Care Units. She has a Bachelor of Science in Social Work and an Associate Degree in Human Services with an emphasis in Gerontology. Her passion has always been to provide excellent care for our Seniors. Her favorite quote is by Maya Angelou, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
